You know what, none of us are out of the woods until we're out of Texas. What I wouldn't give for confirmation we've been cut loose.

Well said Gary, simple truth.

The Tier 2 just told me it was an error and not to worry about it.

Back on track. Solid gold.

I question the value of signing up for USCIS email and text alerts.

Texas,, can I call to see what they want or do I have to wait for the letter?

Bummer! You can certainly call, but I'm not sure how far you can trust the info you'll be given on the phone. In my opinion, it's better to wait for the written form of what it is they want from you.

One of our fellow transferees had also received an RFE, unfortunately I don't remember her name, maybe Mahalia, but if memory serves me, I don't think her approval took too long once she had sent in the RFE.

Angela sent me 2 emails today saying my case was approved. I'm sure that part is fine, just hope this does not delay their forwarding it to NVC.

In that case I'd be rest assured that your approval isn't a false positive :)

I take it that your approval came out of TSC.

After waiting 6 months I get an RFE. Why do they wait this long? Now I am steaming! I double checked tripled checked quadrupled check before I sent the package. I don't think anything can be missing.

Unbelievable.

Did the RFE come out of Texas or Cali?

I just got a text from USCIS:

On February 14, 2011, the post office returned the notice we last sent you on this case I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN as undeliverable. This may have serious effects on processing this case. Please call 1-800-375-5283 to update your mailing address for this notice to be re-sent.

It also tells me I'm back to initial review.

Funny, I've received several notices from them so far, never had any problem with my mailing address.

Had you been approved while at TSC or were you transferred and approved at CSC?

Hey all, just thought I'd share my thoughts on repeatedly emailing Ms. Barrows.

When it comes to sending multiple emails in the span of 5 business days, I think it's a bad idea. Also, the weekend should not be counted when determining how long it's been since she's received your email, regardless of whether we think she's working or not, that's simple business etiquette.

I, like most of you, feel like we've paid for a service, thereby we're, for the lack of a better word, entitled to a result within a defined period of time.

We're fortunate that Wade (I believe) was able to procure Ms. Barrows' email address for us. With that email address in hand, we ought to be judicious about how we utilize it.

There is a difference between sending a single introductory email, versus electronically badgering someone. Some people deserve to be badgered, others don't.

In my opinion, the fact that Ms. Barrows has, for the most part, been very receptive to our messages, should warrant some type of hesitation on our part before we send her several "reminders." Also taking into consideration the "tone" one may employ in an email, there really is a gray transitional area that separates a single "please help me" email to an irritating "it's me again, for the Xth time in your inbox, did you forget me already?!" email.

Just my 2 cents for all of us to consider :)

Thanks for your words of encouragement. I agree with your analysis. It's amazing how cynicism sets in so quickly. I think this group of ours has suffered quite a bit of psychological damage.

I just want to know we're out of Texas - that would be such a relief...Posted Image

GOOD NEWS Saleem. We're getting worried at our end. A promise last Wednesday of our case shipping to the NVC, three further emails to Angela, and no reply.

I hope to God we aren't lost at this stage.Posted Image Maybe it's my paranoia brought on by the months of suffering....Posted Image

I share the same concern- I've been cognizant of what you had been told, and as each day passes, I get a little more alarmed, and ghosts of empty promises of the past begin to resurface.

You've emailed Angela a few times, and from what we've seen thus far she seems to be quite attentive, so I'm sure she must be trying to figure out what's going on with your app. I venture to guess that the reason she hasn't reported back to you yet is perhaps because she's still trying to do a root cause analysis, which can be a real headache.

I'm rooting for you guys, and I suspect you'll receive some sort of update by Friday considering the number of business days that have passed. Just a gut feeling. :)

I also had a wonderful Valentines Day message in my email from my Senator's Office:

Happy Valentine's Day Jenny and Ryan… your petition was approved today!! The notice is coming in the mail; it will be sent today or tomorrow! The wait is nearly over, and at least you're approved, no RFEs or transfers coming.

Please let me know if I may be of assistance further,
Best,
Emily

My account @ USCIS still is not showing any updates since December, but this is good news!!!

If they are over 6 months old since you took them and your case is on going like 6 to 8 months since they received your photos, they just want newer updated ones.

Unbelievable- by definition basically all CSC-TSC transfers are at least 6 months old. So we'll all need to submit new photos?

IN My opinion, dont base all your thoughts on what USCIS TSC or anybody says on their site, their site IS NOT CURRENT and as much as they been off line and all. I haven't seen anything right since November 3 rd when they sent us from csc to tsc. I'm done at NVC and they still show I'm pending case approval, YET Just finished NVC, a few days ago. So dont rely on what it always says.

Again just my opinion from where i was at from CSC in November and where im at now and their site lost where and what already happened to me now almost done in the next 2 or 3 weeks. I dont have to much faith in USCIS site right now until they get things up to par in the future.

Good Luck.

Excellent point to keep in mind Ron, thanks.

Hey guys, is there a way we could merge the 2 threads? It's hard enough to cope up with one!

By the way its moving now, all of us will be in the NVC thread, and we could help each other out better.

On the one hand it would be great to stick together, however, on the other hand for people who haven't made it to the NVC it would seem premature in an unfair way that they'd have to read posts about other filers' advancements in the next level, while they're stuck in limbo. This would apply especially to people who may get RFEs.

Hey celldoc, what happens to your case. My case was demted from post decision activity to acceptance. I do not know what is going on?

Hey dude, I honestly don't know for sure why my case was demoted from "Post Decision Activity" to "Initial Review."

The only guess I have is that perhaps, in order to facilitate the rectification of whatever errors may have been made in our applications at TSC, our application statuses must first be "reset."

Of course this would raise the question as to why you were adjusted to "Acceptance" and myself and NascarFan to "Initial Review."

Unfortunately, it's unlikely that anyone on this forum knows with absolute certainty what exactly is going on.

As always, we'll have to wait and see.

I've got a good feeling that those recently approved will get to NVC as fast as those that get approved from CSC. I think TSC has finally realised their big mess-up and are now shipping the approved cases to NVC in a timely manner, instead of taking like 2ish months before.

Yeah that would be a noble gesture, recognition even, of the TSC mess-up.

I'm really looking forward to the next few days, when the rest of us will hopefully get approved :innocent:

Just saw Timosha and Jellybelly getting their NVC case numbers on the other thread. So now we have 6 people who have gotten NVC case numbers and the average days (starting with an average of 45) has now gone down to 27! And with all the recent approvals and shipments to NVC, I'm pretty sure this average is going to get even lower next week.

That's encouraging :)
