Mrs. Barrows replies me

Don’t apologize! Your cases were consolidated into what we call and A-file today so that they would proceed together, so they should be with an officer tomorrow. I will update you by Friday, if not sooner.

Regards,

because i have submitted I130 + I129...

I couldn't agree more.... hence the sentence, "I would be raising all kinds of hell." I just fired off an email (earlier tonight) to Barbara Valarde about my case too. I'm not necessarily worried about the processing time yet (I just went over 6 months). My main concern is that my application is sitting in a pile with other "rejected/needs further review" applications, when in fact... mine was never sent to NVC (so it couldn't have been sent back to USCIS for review). :bonk:

The exact same thing happened to my petition. I had posted a conversation I had regarding this issue with a Tier 2 Officer somewhere in this thread- one of the most nonsensical conversations I have ever had with those folks.

Hi guys and gals

Just wanted to give you some GOOOD news......I believe from a VERY reliable source that Texas are working their bottoms off and that we ALL are in for a huge uplifting experience VERY soon.....those of us waiting for approval and those of us waiting to get from Texas to NVC.

I AM SO VERY HAPPY!!!Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image It takes a lot to convince me of things going right but.....TEXAS are on their game! GOOD KARMA!!!! We will all be dancing in the streets soon!!!

PEACE AND LOVE TO ALL!!! HAVE A GREAT NIGHT.

You KNOW I am tempted to ask you what you're talking about... but I shall try my best to refrain :innocent:

could be a typo, replace one letter, fits better I think

still doesn't apply, as that term would be in the past tense, thereby not applicable to our ongoing predicament

Maybe, but not an expedite! she said that wasnt it... again just to make it clear ill ask her to give me a source of some kind tommorrow! She is a very good lawyer and very well recomended by others so i see no reason for her to lie to me... unless im not explaining my self well. She said this to me when i asked her if i could get an expedite to nvc because of USCIS "error" and she said no. They didnt make an error, they just didnt proccess the petition on time. An error would be like " a diffrent name" or wrong address on Green card for example. Thats when she mentioned about filing straight with the councel.

Thanks again... looking forward to more info tomorrow :)

I'm perfectly serious. Look at my gavel and you'll know I'm serious!

"rapid response" to what? Response to their own initial lack of response? Makes my head hurt. Posted Image

"rapid" is a relative term

Should we change the name of our thread to CSC-TSC-CSC-Blackhole? LOL

Yeah totally. I'm sure we can make a special request to the Forum mods once we realize where we all land.

This is assuming we all get transferred to the CSC.

Some folks showed enthusiasm at the prospect of getting transferred back to the CSC- and although I fully support them, I was only half kidding about the notion of the 5-month clock getting reset yet again.

I emailed my lawyer about it. Maybe it is a Mexico thing? I hope to find out more tomorrow.

Great... looking forward to some confirmation. Once we have that, I suppose there'll be "eligibility" requirements and such we'll have to contend with.

What does "rapid response" mean? Yesterday, it was implemented, but maybe it is so rapid that the approvals flew right past our eyes. Not one approval

Remember how we had all been transferred to TSC to "expedite" our petitions?

I suspect the new term that's en vogue these days is "rapid response"

Well she explained to me that for I-130 peteiton for Immidiete relatives would not have to go threw NVC anymore. She said there is no need to get NVC involved alomost like direct counceling. That this new procces has just been up and going for about a little more then one month and its to help ppl like "us" more then anything be togther with our families. She said that if it works the way they intend to it should take less then a month to get an interview. Instead of getting NVC involved and spend weeks in mailing papers back and forth and then NVC sending it to councel we fax and scan and send to the councel. She said shes updated with this new proccedure and we will go that way!

Thanks again for sharing... I'd really like to see an official bulletin or something official stating what your lawyer told you.

Again, anybody have any luck finding something on this?

I just tlked to my lawyer n she said that they just started a new program for immediate relatives where we dont have to go threw NVC anymore! We can file straight with the council which is a million times faster! she said if i got my approval by the 18th i could be home nxt month or early April! Im so freakin excited!

I just looked on the USCIS website, and I haven't found any announcement as such. Perhaps I'm not looking thoroughly enough.

Anyone else have any luck verifying this?

Evening Saleem. This announcement has detracted from the fact that promises made yesterday have not been kept, hopes that were raised yesterday have been dashed again, plus we haven't seen one true approval this week.

Hey Gary, I completely agree- I was, and still am, so very excited for those who were expecting to hear something today.

Hence my concern regarding broken promises and false hope. This stuff is really toying with my friends' (all you guys') emotions.

Goooooooood evening my VJ fam! WOW a lot's happened today, took me quite a while to read through the posts.

I cannot believe the USCIS announcement. This opens the door to so many questions.

I'm concerned that a bunch of us are going to get hit with RFEs or that the 5-month "clock" is going to get reset once again. I'm also concerned about being provided with more false hope and empty promises.

However, as always, I'm not giving up hope :)

The next few days should be quite interesting...

Also Mary and Besho have you looked into an nvc and embassy expedite beause of the situation in Egypt? God bless you and your family. And I'll pray for your safety and your country!

I was just about to suggest the same thing. I saw that Mary and Besho haven't hit 7 months yet, so technically speaking they're not way out of processing time. However, in light of the unrest in Egypt, perhaps something may be done.

Mary and Besho, I hope all is well with you guys :)

For those of you getting email alerts whenever a post in this thread, I can hear you know, "Damn that SqdnGuns, not again!!"

Well, my persistence paid off, I just got an email from the Director of the Texas Service Center, this is a reply to one that I sent to her 20 minutes before getting this reply.

Mr. Grant,

Thank you for your email. I had received one over the weekend from you and your case was approved this morning. You should be able to see it on the case status online tomorrow or Wednesday. I would have to agree with you that the process was temporarily broken, but we have taken steps to correct this and we will have all cases processed within the next weeks. Hopefully your future experiences with USCIS and with TSC will be more positive. My apologies for your wait, and I hope that your son recovers soon and fully.

Regards,

Angela K. Barrows

I truly hope that hey have fixed their errors for the sake of the rest of you. I am waiting to hear back from her whether our case will be expedited @ NVC and the Embassy.

I got an email from my lawyer that said besides contacting a senator the only other option is to sue the government. She also said that sometimes these things happen and an infopass appointment wont make much difference unless i get an extremely helpful person to speak with. Let's pray this week is our week guys!

Thanks Rachel!

It appears we've collectively pursued every feasible avenue at this point. So what it all boils down to now is praying- which is something I think many of us have been doing to begin with :)

The SYSTEM is BROKE and we all need to be concerned. I REALLY think that a lot of our cases have been lost and the days are them trying to find them. I have communicated with the USCIS at the US Embassy in Bangkok, this is the the email exchange. Look at where they say my petition is??? #######

Sorry for the delay, haven't been on the computer.

I sent 10 or so emails to tsc.ncscfollowup@dhs.gov and finally got a response. It seems half automated half not, and it came with no signature or name, just exactly how I've pasted it.

Thanks for the follow-up. I find it odd that you'd receive an email from the USCIS without a sender's name, but I guess it is what it is.

Regardless, I'm hoping for a bunch of approvals this week

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresQuick Question about the Interview

Always reach the place 2 hours before the interview. Infact though the time given for my interview was 8:30 am, i was asked to be there an hour or so in advance..I went to the consulate the day before my interview to be sure of the location since it was not in the city i lived and was told by the security guard to reach well before time.

Further, be in semi formal or formal wear, that reflects your sincerity towards the matter.

Hope this would help!!

Dress for success. Generally, its good to arrive early but check on the recommended procedure for arrival time in the Consulate forum.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresAre the blogs always helpful?????
Who cares?

I was actively watching this fourm last year as I was awaiting for my petition.
Following are my observations:

1. Some people are "cry babies", I noticed many who would start crying if they don't get NOA in timely matter, the fact is when you are in international relationship you have to bare. No crying....

2. After while many people feel that they are on top of the world, and many provide very useful information.
e.g. Aussie : read her response, always helps, her tricks works, you can cut time by following her steps
Yordak: don't read his posts, he don't contribute by providing useful info but still want to advise (mostly his belief), don't answers to reader's questions but questions them in return.

3. Some times lying is helpful. If you are little short on your resources make them up, learn from other people's mistakes and lie effectivly.

4. Don't spend too much time on this forum as you will only get deppressed.

5. Some people are very dumb, ask questions that are already answered. Do research "slobbbbbs"

6. Learn how to spell or use spell checker. ( I have made some spell errors find it)
