Hahaha!! I asked the Magic Eight Ball if TSC would approve my petition this week. The answer: "Outlook not so good." The Magic Eight Ball must be well aware of the fiasco at TSC...

Thank you! :D I'm waiting to hear that you got an approval for your birthday! Still got 5 hours to go.

I KNOW!! I'm really hoping that whoever is handling my petition has a huge heart and decides to give me and my wife an AWESOME present for my birthday!

I got the same response too. I am 5 months, two weeks and a day since my NOA1. I have read every page of this thread and have felt every emotion. I pray each of us get through soon. Congratulations to all on passing the NOA2 goal and please God give us the patience to deal with the mess that is USCIS.

Well, this is what I got:

Thank you for contacting the Texas Service Center National Customer Service Center (NCSC) Follow Up e-mail account. The purpose of this account is to assist petitioners, applicants or their authorized representatives who have contacted the NCSC number (1-800-375-5283) with an inquiry but feel their inquiry was not adequately addressed within 30 days or who feel that the response received from the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) was not sufficient. This auto reply message will serve as a record of our receiving your inquiry. The TSC NCSC Follow Up e-mail account will try to be responsive to all requests. However, please note that you will not receive a response to your inquiry if you did not first try to resolve your issue by contacting the NCSC, or if you are not the petitioner, applicant or a designated representative of the case you are inquiring about.

If you are asking for a status update you must contact the NCSC. We will not respond to your status update inquiry.

In order to assist you in a timely manner, please include the following information with your inquiry (Send a follow-up email including this information if it was not included in your first request to this e-mailbox):

· The service request management tool (SRMT) inquiry number that you were given when you called the NCSC,

o If you have called the NCSC and they informed you they are unable to complete a SRMT please provide a brief explanation.

· The date that you contacted the NCSC,

· Your name and receipt number and/or A-number, and

· If available, the name of the NCSC Customer Service Representative you spoke with.

The Texas Service Center will review your e-mail and respond through this e-mail account or through the US Postal Service.

If you feel the decision on your case was made in error, to protect your rights you must follow the regulations and file any necessary motion or appeal within the allotted timeframe.

That's the standard automated reply sent out by the TSC server acknowledging receipt of your email to them. I received an email from Officer Garza today, 3 days after having received that very same reply.

Cheers

Just got a call from my congressmans office, they were told that my case is now waiting for the 1-130 supervisor and that i should have an answer in less than 60 days. Has anyone heard anything similar or have any idea what this means? cause I dont. Is the supervisor the one who has the final decision on approvals?

i guess it won't take 60 days.... we will get the NOA-2 Soon...... let us hope that it won't take 60 days....

I have to agree- I suspect, if your case truly is in the hands of a supervisor, and if by being in the hands of a supervisor it means the place where the buck stops, you ought not have to wait a full 60 days.

Best wishes

Good evening my beloved VJ family!!!

I just got caught up with the day's posts... Like so many of you have already voiced, it's quite interesting to see how many of us have received Officer Garza's, and now Carol's, email replies. I find myself wondering what this could all mean! On the one hand, I won't lie- a part of me is wishfully hoping it means something big is brewing, and on the other hand, the skeptic in me is thinking that this is simply a series of emails meant to appease our queries.

I guess we still have a few more hours to see if we can get some approvals coming our way.

As always, I'm rooting for each and every single one of us.

Let's go TSA!!!!!

lol, no need to worry...that letter was a better template than the one I got. Mine said 9-12 months, now that causes you to worry just a bit more than 60 days. Either way, both are just boilerplate templates and mean nothing. You are in good hands, I promise we don't bite....hard.

I'm guessing my case is lost or assigned to somebody on vacation. I was told on January 14th it was "assigned to an officer". This time I'm emailing them, I want to know if somebody has actually "seen" my case. I fear it could by now be lost for months before they realize it.

That's been one of my concerns as well. I hope that's not the case for anyone in the VJ fam.

I'm laffin cos we just got the same Officer Garza email that you did, and we were approved yesterday. I guess Officer Garza doesn't know that until she checks the files.

I'd say we're in for a large batch of approvals very soon!!

I hope you're right!!!

First of all, God bless Ron for his email post, I called Denice Mitchell yesterday, emailed her our info and timeline and wonder above all wonders woke up to approvals on both our I-130 and I-129F. Thank all of you for your encouragement and support we are now one step closer to going home(USA). Congrats to each and everyone of you who received your approvals and to those who have not, hang in there, they are just around the corner. Soon we will all be taking our next steps and supporting each other through those. I am feeling totally BLESSED at this moment.

Nonetheless, it's my birthday today so I'm REALLY hoping I'll get a nice surprise from our friends at the TSC

Met with Tony Capitelli today, District Representative for Congressman Rohrabacher. All he had me do was to fill out a form but I had to speak up to give him some background, I felt like I was inconveniencing him. I am so fvcking tired of this bvllsh1t. No offense to you guys but no one that matters in this whole goddamn fiasco seems to give a flying ** what is going on. What does it take to get someones attention?

I've been praying for your son bro, since you told us what's been going on. In light of the responses received by Ron and Gary/Val, I HAVE to believe that your application is being worked on. For some reason that we'll never know, it's just taking MUCH longer than we all think that it ought to.

I don't have the iPhone, but an Android and it does have the Skype app on it. But unfortunately, my phone's on Verizon (I got it while I was in the USA in the summer), so I can't use it to make calls while I'm in Canada or I'll be charged for roaming.

My husband and I just Skype at night after we've both eaten, but we talk all day on an IM client while he's at work and I'm at home. And when either of us are away from the computer, we text each other on our phones (no roaming charges for that, thank goodness). So from the moment I'm awake to the moment I go to bed, I'm practically in constant contact with my husband, in some way or another :D

That's great Saylin- having any form of constant contact is SUCH a luxury!! Speaking of constant contact, my wife asked me to leave my laptop's Skype turned on today as she watched me deliver a lecture at work

I just found this CSC to TSC forum!

Jan 27th will be 6 months for me and I am separated from my 1.5 yr old son and 3 yr old daughter (and husband), I'm going mad!

Did anyone else get a notification in late November that their case was transferred from TSC to "a local USCIS office"?

My senator checked up on my case just now and she said Detroit (my local USCIS office) said they didn't have it and that it was still at TSC. Anyone have a similar experience?

Welcome to the VJ family Alison! You're not alone in the USCIS situation you and your family are in- take your time and read the posts through this thread and you'll see

Or Skype. That's what my husband and I use.

Skype is what my wife and I use. If you have the iPhone, the new Skype app is amazing! I'm able to show my wife Miami and I can have a video-conference from wherever I am! The best part- no wi-fi needed, Skype for iPhone works on 3g

I have been following this forum for awhile. I am amongst the group of people that filed in July with a priority date of the 6th. I have contacted a senator, emailed Barbara and even spoken with the CIS Ombudsman today. She told me that even if i got an approval today i am looking at another 6 months of a wait until the whole process is finished.

The immigration system should be ashamed of itself. I have a 7 month old son that hasnt seen his father since he was a month old. The case is almost 7 months in and they are saying around another 6??! I cant believe this is happening to all of us.

Thanks for all of the support and information that has gone on in this forum.

Sorry to hear about your situation :( I certainly hope your family is reunited soon...

Also, welcome to the VJ family! As you can see, you're definitely not alone!

I was feeling down and could use a laugh so I thought I might call and check the status on my SR.

it's also funny (in a very sad, sick way) when you play the level 1 rep conversations through your head

I was feeling down and could use a laugh so I thought I might call and check the status on my SR.

The Tier 1 told me that there was no way that they could tell me the status of an SR that I would just have to wait until they contact me.

I asked if I escalated could somebody then tell me the status?

They said yes and transferred me.

Sometimes it pays to ask dumb questions.

HAH!

I refer you back to my last comment.

Hey gang- just dropping by to share some info. Gary, the attorney I had spoken with this morning confirmed your theory (at least I think it was yours) about not placing too many service requests on petitions. Supposedly there's a tendency to slow processing if one were to call repeatedly to place service requests on petitions. I was paged at work before I could ask more questions- hopefully I'll be able to learn more this evening.

Cheers and all the best to the VJ family

Good MORNING MIAMI!!

It's cold in the UK, and I want to come BACK to Orlando!!

This week, will be a pivotal week!

With regard to the theory that over-calling USCIS results in delays is interesting. Our lawyer also advised against calling (you have to wonder why?).

We could all individually analyse this by checking the approvals spreadsheet.

I don't mean to rub it in, but it's going to be 74 and mostly sunny today B-) -Yet one more reason I'm hoping you get to cross the pond sooner rather than later

About the over-calling thing- I've heard elsewhere as well that we may need to be judicious. I've scheduled a teleconference with an active immigration attorney this evening, I'll ask him if he's heard anything about our CSC-TSC batch.

I'm also going to contact a Congressman today and see if his office can help.

Wishing for the best for all of us :)

Here is some light reading if interested..........

Citizenship and Immigration Services
Ombudsman
Annual Report 2010
June 30, 2010

http://www.dhs.gov/x...to_congress.pdf

Interesting document.

For those who haven't read it, here's one part regarding I130s:

Forms I-130 (Petition for Alien Relative) have experienced processing delays for several years, following a policy to hold preference-based petitions and process them based on visa availability. In last year’s annual report, the Ombudsman discussed the backlog of approximately 1.1 million pending I-130s. In March 2009, USCIS began sending pending I-130s to field offices with available staff to perform adjudications. By December 31, 2009, USCIS reduced its I-130 inventory to 690,000 of which 575,000 were preference petitions. The agency expects to adjudicate an additional 750,000 new and pending I-130 preference petitions by December 31, 2010.

Now to find the definition of a "preference petition."

Service Request Management Tool (SRMT) online for Forms I-90 and N-400

  • Currently customers contact the 1-800 number to make a service request, which is then sent via SRMT to the Field Office or Service Center
  • Enhancement will allow customers and representatives the opportunity to use SRMT directly to submit a request directly to the Field Office or Service Center responsible for the case without calling the 1-800 number
  • Will be accessible through www.uscis.gov
  • This service will be piloted for customers whose case is Outside Normal Processing Times for the Forms I-90 and N-400
  • We plan to offer this online service for all form types currently handled by the call centers
http://www.uscis.gov...000082ca60aRCRD

----------------------------------------------------------

Service Request Management Tool (SRMT): When an application or petition is outside of target processing times, a petitioner may contact the National Customer Service Center (NCSC) to request an inquiry into his or her case (SRMT). Given the USCIS goal to adjudicate O and P nonimmigrant petitions within 14 days, USCIS has taken steps to ensure the NCSC generates an SRMT when an O and P nonimmigrant petition has been pending for over 14 days. It should be noted that for e-filed cases, the processing time does not begin until the supporting documentation is received at the service center. This information was added to the “Instructions for electronically Filing Form I-129”.

http://www.uscis.gov...000082ca60aRCRD

Many thanks Wade- I should have been able to look it up myself. I really AM tired
I suppose this means I have to phone our friends and ask for the SRMT number. I'm prepping myself I'll be told- "I'm sorry sir, but it shows there was no service request placed- you must have misunderstood."
