Hello my fellow petitioners:

I see lots of frustration and anger here and believe me I was even worse. I was one of the lucky one that received a NOA2 from TSC and I want to share my story with you. I was also transferred from CSC to TSC. I did everything right I could and at one time I got to a point where I felt helpless. So I decided to turn to God for help which I am glad I did. I wet my eyes in fort of him almost everyday (I have no shame admitting it) and HE decided to open up the Heaven’s door for me. If there is one thing that God CAN’T & WILL NOT ignore, that is tears, so ask for HIS help wholeheartedly. HE CAN & HE WILL HELP YOU. Once HE is on your side, who can work against you? So please don’t give up your hope and keep praying, you will see his magic.

If you all think I am not being serious, please listen to the whole story. I have bee praying for many week and Sunday in my prayer group, the Pastor talked about how God can bring something from the bottom of the pile to top of the pile. I sincerely felt he was talking to me. On Monday morning (few hours after I received message), I received a call from my Congressman office and he informed me that they were able to dig my file out and successfully assigned to an immigration officer for review. After couple of days I received an e-mail stating that my petition is approved. No, I don’t think it was a coincident. I believe God used my Congressman to get the help I needed.

I just wanted to share my story and never meant to offend or hurt anyone in this blog.

Remember, Nothing is impossible to GOD.

I will remember each and everyone of in my prayer.

Thanks for sharing your story. Congrats to you and your loved ones- I sincerely wish you a speedy journey through the NVC

Same here. I called two days ago and talked to a really nice and professional CSR. I told her I had two concerns:

1. Why did my online status go straight from Initial Review to Post-Activity Decision without stopping at Decision. (Made me think there was a screw up at TSC) - Go figure :P
2. Why did I receive a notice stating that my application (I-130) had been returned (from the State Department) back to USCIS without ever receiving my NOA2.

According to the CSR, we were APPROVED, but the State Department found errors and returned it to USCIS. She put in an SR to have the Approved NOA2 sent to me (within 30 days). Unfortunately, she couldn't tell me what the errors were and to give them 120 days from the date of return (29NOV2010). I still don't think it was ever approved... I think someone just pushed the wrong button on the computer (see concern #1 above) but, I am trying to stay positive. At least now I have a SR number that I could roll up and poke them in the eye with.

:help:
Do any of you have any idea why the State Department would return the application to USCIS? I am assuming it was something they did incorrectly... I would like to think if I made errors that USCIS would have already caught it and sent me notification. It is really going to suck if they take the entire 120 days and then send notification back to me for correction.... then the process starts all over again. As it is... it takes 4-7 months for the Consulate in Brazil to set up interviews. It's already been 7 months since I've seen my wife.... I sure hope it doesn't take another 8-10 :crying:

Thanks,
Erick

Top of the morning Erick! In all likelihood, your application had never left the Texas Service Center. Therefore the State Department had never received it. Therefore the State Department had never sent it to a USCIS office.

You can find this info on this thread- happy reading and welcome to THE WAITING ROOM

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOd Morning VJ family,

Got my 1st RFE and I'm sure I know what it is, my daughter's passport'. It expired Jan 23 2011, the thing is that last year in February when we filed for the fiancé visa it was ok, then they obliged us to file the spouse visa. But you know what? she's got a brand new one since Sept. so  we will soon be approved too

Looks like you're really on your way!!

Celldoc - you don't sound happy. Come on now? Be happy

BTW, you should have written back and say thank you and that you wanted to take her out for drinks to celebrate this happy moment and that your spouse won't know anything. It'd be your secret between the two of you..........

So interesting. I NEVER get emails like that. Just the stock form letter.

I agree, it IS interesting- I don't think I can make anything of this email though. Except maybe that Officer Carole's got style :)

lol in case anyone is worried I may have contributed to somehow clogging the TSC approval line, let me say this- i DID NOT "flood" any TSC email addresses with email inquiries

I've only sent one email, which was this past Sunday night.

Cheers

Goooooooooooood evening from Miami my dearest VJ family :)

Just got caught up with the day's posts- lots to read!

It's obvious that a lot of us, especially the ones who have been waiting 6+ months, and even more-so the ones with health/kids-related issues, are getting more and more dismayed as the hours pass throughout the day.

All of you who have posted on this thread have helped me cope with this painful partition from my better half. To some, hearing of other peoples' approvals has induced anxiety amongst other emotions, and I guess a very small part of me feels the same way, wondering "why not me" every time someone gets approved- but that's just human nature. I try to dismiss this feeling as rapidly as it enters my thoughts- if one doesn't do so then this thought simply self-perpetuates and spirals the individual into a darkness called depression.

As a couple of you have said before, one of the most important things we need to do is to keep our eyes on the prize! :) We all have used this forum to share information (irrespective of whether the info was helpful or not- we SHARE), to help console one another, and to make each other laugh when we need it the most. Point is, I'm happy I found this forum, and just like so many of you have voiced, I'm happy for the folks who've been approved :)

Each day that passes brings us one day closer to being reunited with our loved ones. For those of you with health issues and kids in the mix, STAY STRONG!

Our group seems to be in a seriously bad situation. If you are late June or early July then nothing is happening. I just hope I am pleasantly surprised one of these nights.

Agreed. This attempt at expediting petitions seems to have gone awry.

I really can't complain much though, I haven't even hit my 6 months yet. And as we all know, the "5 month" thing is simply an average. -I say this of course with a leeeetle sarcasm.

Happy Thursday y'all!

So the grand total is 1 approval. I can't say I'm not disappointed, but 1 approval is better than NO approvals. At least we can be certain that there's ongoing activity at the TSC.

I know it's difficult to say the least, but we still need to keep the faith- more approvals are coming- they HAVE to be!

Just one last thought- keep the Faith my friends.
  • Val and Gary didn't get their alert until around midnight (I believe EST).
  • Therefore the fact that we haven't been updated on the USCIS website yet may not necessarily take us out of the running for tonight.
Just a thought.

Peace

Well, the USCIS Case Status page has been down for a whopping two hours.

As usual, a part of me is thinking this MUST mean something, the other part is thinking this is nothing but a normal occurrence in server operations- like some kind of software update at the USCIS or something.

I really never was a fan of suspense.
