hang in there! don't stress to much. October 15 is not that far away...ilang tulog na lang star_smile.gif i read a thread somewhere that after a while they tend to miraculously find the missing documents. i guess that's why there's a supervisor review going on...they need time to get their act together and somehow do some damage control for the erroneous office action they sent out. the missing documents will turn out pretty soon, you'll see. I don't know haha. Could be they are reviewing it. Could be that whomever has it didn't appreciate me sending info without the correct RFE coversheet - could be it's still just sitting there collecting dust (or not, since it may be at the bottom of a pile).

I'm pretty much in the same boat as you trailmix. The NVC voice recording says it received our AOS checklist last Nov 7. I'll give them another call on the 17th, keeping my fingers crossed that its finally a case complete smile.gif

Hi! i can totally relate to how you feel. Our approval came 261 days, more or less, after we filed the I130. If not for the transfer from VSC to CSC, i dunno how long in limbo we would have been. You can just imagine how frustrated i got, everytime i read about approvals from those who filed later than we did. It caused a lot of friction between me and the hubby, but we survived the many storms. yes.gif

Just hang on there and keep the faith, you'd get it soon enough.

yes you do. i suggest you pay for it as soon as you get your medical and interview schedule. quoted hereunder is the advisory from the USEM website:

"Applicants whose visa eligibility is dependent upon their marital status (i.e. K-1, K-3, CR-1, IR-1, F-1 and F2-B categories) will normally need to have their documents verified through the National Statistics Office (NSO) before the U.S. Embassy in Manila can issue the visa. Those with a delayed birth or death certificate or only local civil registrar copies of such documents may need to have their documents verified.

In order to avoid unnecessary delay in the visa issuance process, the U.S. Embassy in Manila strongly encourages applicants in the categories mentioned above to pay the document verification fee prior to their immigrant visa interview. Payment can be made through any Metrobank location. The cost of the document verification is P650 per applicant. For specific instructions on how to pay the document verification fee, please click here. If you are unable to pay for the document verification before your immigrant visa interview, you may be asked to pay the fee on the day of your interview. Please note that if you pay on the day of your interview, there will be a delay of one to two weeks in the processing of your application."

don't worry, i dont think there was anything wrong with your interview, its just that you paid your document verification fee on the date of interview, which is why it is taking you long to receive your visa. the USEM website has an advisory on this and was discussed extensively in the Philippines subforum. its sad that you failed to read it before your interview.

hi! i did use my b1/b2 visa last christmas and experienced no problems. i just told the cbp officer our papers are still pending she just asked how long i'd be staying and to see my return ticket. after which, i was let through without incident.

was going to use it again this christmas, however since we already got our interview date we opted to save on the fare and just wait for when i finally fly with the hubby for good.

my two cents, as long as there is no intent to defraud or misrepresent ones purpose of entry using the b1/b2 visa, there wont be any hassle entering the US even while your case is pending.

bank statements are fine, as long as the account shows you and your husband are joint owners of the same.

better if you can bring originals as well so they can compare it with the copies. also, bring with you plenty of pictures showing you and your spouse together alone or in the presence of others during the interview. goodluck!
