I called CSC 1 week prior to my 5 months, talked to a TIER 2 ISO and got her to override the 5 month requirement for a service request. I have my NOA 2 now, one week after calling. My feeling is that we need to provide more evidence that we've met the past 2 years. Anyway when I send them my flightickets should I just copy them or send in the originals? Thanks for any input. Don't send originals. Send only copies. When you send docs to your SO before the interview you can send your SO the originals in case they are requested by the Consular Officer. I was so upset today again, so I took your advice and called again, and the first guy I spoke to wouldnt transfer me to a TIER 2, until I cried and got upset and he did. Then I had a woman and she started to tell me I was still in the processing time frame, but then she said "Oh wait a second... wait... you were approved!" I said WHATTT??? She said you were approve dlast friday, the 4th! So then I spoke to her and another man and they said that the E-mail and USCIS online portfolio has had trouble updating lately. They then called CSC and CSC confirmed that my NOA2 hard copy had been mailed out. YESSSS I am so happy for you. Persistence pays off finally. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2010 CSC filers!	Yay. But they just won't process my oct first! Keep trying to get through to a Tier 2 ISO. Don't let them tell you that you are to early to be asking for a service request. If you don't get satisfaction from one person, call back and talk to someone else. Never give up. I got lucky that I talked to the right person on the first try. Make them want to adjudicate your petition so you will stop calling back, but make sure that you are always nice when talking to them. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2010 CSC filers!	Yeah I know I was ranting about how dumb they act to my fiance when I hung up. This time it was a tier 1, a few days ago I spoke to a tier 2 but didn't get results either. Today she wouldn't transfer me to a tier 2. What doesn't make ANY sense is that all 3 times I've called they've started it out with "Yes, you are outside the 5 month processing time. I can go ahead and look into your case" and they end it with "You are still inside the processing time." #######. Keep calling back until you can get to a Tier 2 ISO. Be very cordial when you talk to them. Let them know that you know that many January and February filers have already been approved. Also, they can over-ride the under 5 month requirement. They did it for me. I just got my service request letter today. It was requested by me 1 week before my 5 months. Per the letter they started adjudicating my petition 5 days before my 5 months. My USCIS experience I will be faxing my Senator and Representative Monday and calling USCIS again sometime this week. Not sure what day as I need to have enough time in my schedule to be on hold for a while. Right now I'm looking at calling on Wednesday. We both knew that it could be a little shorter or maybe a little longer. We were both prepared to wait OUR turn knowing that it would come. Every day that I have to tell my fiancée that we are still not approved is painful. Every day that I have to tell her that there was another January or February filer approved is like driving a stake into her heart. I don't know what to do, except to try and console her. To again tell her that our turn will come. To hope that tomorrow I can call her and tell her that we are approved and to not drive another stake into her heart. The lady seemed nice at first, and I told her that a few days ago the lady told me to call back on the 1st (today) and she said ok yes I see that your file has reached 5 months so I can go ahead and put in a service request, and then she asked me some questions about military and random stuff, and then she said Im sorry maam you have to wait and call back in 15 days. baahhhhhhhhhhh Did you talk to a Tier 1 Operator or a Tier 2 ISO? In November of 2010 there were a bunch of I-130 petitions that were transferred from CSC to TSC in a failed attempt to process them faster because CSC was backed up. TSC never had the manpower and expertise to process these petitions. USCIS has finally seen the error of their way and is transferring many of these back to CSC for immediate adjudication. The part of that you quoted basically says that if your petition was transferred back to CSC and you have not received an approval, denial or RFE by March 1, contact them at the email address provided. This has nothing to do with those of us that sent our petitions to USCIS in October, November, December and January. It is only for those who got screwed in the CSC to TSC transfer. It may or may not affect us October to January filers in that since they are devoting some time to expedite the files that were transferred back to CSC our petitions might be slightly delayed. I am ok with this slight delay because the transferred filers should have already been approved, declined or RFE'd. We should be seeing our adjudication very soon so hang in there. Our turn will come. You can still call USCIS when your 5 months is up. They will most likely tell you that they are working on petitions from July or August and to call back in 30 days. At least VSC knows how to touch a file. CSC just sticks them in a box in the basement and forgets about them for 5+ months. All kidding aside, the waiting is driving us crazy to. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	October 2010 K1 Filers	I personally would go by the date they actually logged it in, which would be the NOA1 date, as the day you 'sent' it, it was in route via mail/ups/fedex etc and not really in their possession. Well that's just it. They did have it on September 30th at the Texas Lockbox. I suspect that it was received and logged in at CSC on October 5th and that they issued the NOA1. Not that it really matters much, but for VJ purposes, am I considered a September filer since my petition was received at the Texas Lockbox on September 30 or am I a October filer since my NOA1 is dated October 5. Government agencies are notorious for thinking that once something is inside their building, it is secure. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	After interview what is the Next to expect?	Congratulations on your approval!!! My experience was basically the same. The CO never said we were approved. When we were given a 2GO form to complete, no one confirmed that we were approved. We received the passport with visa after about 3 weeks. The delivery time will depend on where you live. Typically, the closer you live to Manila, the sooner you will receive your passport/visa. Those living in the distant provinces, the delivery time will take longer. Good luck with the rest of your journey! Did it take 3 weeks for your wife to get her visa? If so what part of PI was your wife located in that took that long. My fiance is just north of Davao City. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Pictures rejected	We scanned all of the photos we wanted to send and color printed them on standard 8.5" x 11" paper. We also made a single sheet collage of ourselves and our son from his birth up to the time of sending for ROC. We sent the color printer copies with lables as to when and where the pictures were taken.
