I met my finace on www.flirtbox.com but we ended up using MSN messenger. I have no proof of the website but I am assuming it is safe to say that we met on MSN messenger? Good luck TucsonBill! If I had it to do over again, just to be on the safe side, I would have answered yes to the IMBRA question, and put the explanation that I was not sure on a continuation sheet. Considering that we had both signed up on this site for free, and that neithier one of us put or real names on that site, and that we did not actually meet there, I put what I beleive to be the correct answer wich is 'no'. As an isnurance agent for 21 years, I know a bit about law and misrepresentation, and in order for there to be misrepresentation there has to be motive and intent - and in my case there was no motove or intent to answer the question incorrectly, I put the answer that I thought was the correct answer at the time. Again, after visiting here, and knowing what I know now, I would have said 'yes' with a continuation sheet, and then I might not have not gotten the RFE, (actually I probably still would have for my credit card and bank statements form the time I was in Thailand but not for more detials on how we met). Bill Ok, so perhaps I should answer yes and explain my online meeting but then go on to say that we utilized other media for conversation etc. I am hoping that I don't get an RFE asking for receipts as I did not use my debit card for anything when I went to Jamaica, my finace paid for everything. I have many photos of him and I, his family and I, and also his best friend and I. Other than that, the only proof I have is airline ticket stubs and stuff relating to that portion of my trip. Yikes! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	APPROVED!! friday the 13th	Wow! Congratulations to those of you have been approved on my lucky day! It was a great day for me as well! I just got back from spending time with my sweetie a little over a month ago and we haven't had the chance to talk much. It was ironic today though, I had written a letter on the 12th to my sweetie to tell him that we should start the paperwork for the K1 now rather than spending money we don't have for a trip for me to Jamaica in December. Well, he called me the morning of the 13th and echoed ALL that had been in my thoughts and my letter without having read it yet!!!! LOL So, I am sending him the starter paperwork for the K1 so we will be filing hopefully in November or December! YAY! We are finally going to start our visa journey I also received some good news from my academic advisor stating that I would be allowed to take the last 2 classes I need for my BA degree next semester so I can finally graduate! So, Friday the 13th was a great day for me as well as for some of you! Thank you for letting my share my news and for sharing your journeys as it gives me tremendous hope! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA1 Approved!!!! I think????	I have been so frustrated by the lack of information from CSC after they receipted my RFE on September 29th that I decided to visit my Congressmans district office yesterday and beg them to help. Just an hour ago the congressional aide called and said she contacted CSC this morning who told her our petition had been approved. She did not say when, but she was very helpful and sympathetic. She also told me that during the remaining process to call her back in a month if I have not heard from NVC and she will call them too. I checked the website and still no change to my last touch? I checked my email and no emails either? I don't know wether to shout, laugh, scream, cry or dance a jig. Feels like an anti-climax somehow, with all the wait until now and the wait ahead. Still, I'm going to call my fiance and give her the news. Dare I say YIPEEEE!!!!! I would do all the above! Congrats and may the rest of your journey go quickly and smoothly! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Approved !!!	Hello all, I would like for all to know that my fiancee had her interview today and approved!!! She will will pick up her visa on the 21 of November. News like this makes all the waiting and delays worthwile. She had an appointment at 8 a.m. Jakarta time. With a 12 hour difference, I was watching the clock here 8 p.m. My heart was racing and palms sweating with anticipation. An hour later, I was waiting for a email or phone call. Finally I see an email from her and then her happy phone call. Her interview went very smoothly with simple questions like, when and where we met in person, engagement, and hotel where we stayed. Now we can make definite plans. She will fly from Indonesia to Hawaii and I will fly from North Carolina to Hawaii and we will marry there, have honeymoon and fly back home together. Congrats! We sent our packet off on the 1st Dec and checked online today and the CSC have signed for it - so now I guess we have to start the long waiting period. The CSC is pretty much ignoring petitions filed in October in favor of petitions that have just recently been filed. You would be best served if you very quickly get all of your ducks in a row and be prepared for an early approval. Granted, CSC might get their heads out of their collective @$$es and start approving October petitions, but better for you if you are ready for an early one if the current trends hold. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Tried to put in a service request with VSC today..	Sorry to hear about your problems with VSC. It is possible to put in a service request prior to your 5 month mark. I did just that at CSC one week prior to my 5 months. I think it is all about persistence and getting the right Tier 1 Operator and right Tier 2 ISO. The are not all the same. I got lucky I guess because I got it on the first call. The Tier 2 ISO can also override the 5 month minimum requirement. That is what they did for me and that got me service request started before 5 months. Don't just sit and hope that something gets done on your petition. If you are due to be processed, call them and let them know. Don't wait for them to get around to it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	nvc foward file to consulate	So if my case number is CRO2011569006 & shipped March 14th what would be my tracking number I checked dhl.com and it only allows 10th digits If they shipped on 14 March 2011 then the track by reference number is EXP 14 MAR 2011A You also may want to check for the 15th of March (EXP 15 MAR 2011A) also since it might not have actually left NVC until the next day. On DHL you will see all the packages that were shippped under that reference number. Answer their questions then ask if your petition has gone to the Embassy yet. If so get ask for your case number and date of shipment. Then go to DHL.com and select Track at the top and Track by reference number. Then enter the following information EXP DD MMM YYYYA (EXP 14 MAR 2011A). You may have to enter the day before or after the date that NVC gave you for shipment. Then you can track your petition to the Embassy. Hope this helps. I guess you posted your letter already while I was replying to you...anyway, I got your letter to your Senator and Representative. But I would like to ask you if you faxed to both of your Senator and Representative. Thanks again! Yes, I faxed to both. You need to go to each of their websites and download their Privacy Act Consent forms. They will be different for each one. Fax this completed and signed form with your request. In my case, my petition was already being adjudicated and approved on the day I faxed them ( I didn't know this at the time). I hope that it get your petition approved in a timely manner. I hope that all of you get your approvals as soon as possible. This wait has been by far the most difficult thing I have done in my entire life. I can not imagine having to go longer than 5 months. I don't know how some of you manage it. Second, I am not sure if my requests to my Senator and Representative were what helped my petition. I received a letter from DHS USCIS today that indicated that a service request had been started on March 2nd and that my petition was currently being adjudicated. That means that when I called, one week before my 5 months and requested that a service request be started, one was started. The Tier 2 ISO said that she could over-ride the less than 5 month requirement and it appears that she did do that. I am very surprised by this. I did not expect it to actually happen. I was very cordial with her and also let her know that I was aware that January and February petitions had been approved. I thanked her for her time. One odd thing on the service request letter is that they list my case type as I-130 and not I-129F. Third, I have not heard back from my Senator or Representative yet. That is not to say that it might not have been helpful in my situation. I will include the text I sent them for those who want to pursue contact with their Congressperson. If you do, don't forget to go to your Congresspersons website and download and fill our their Privacy Act Consent Form. It will be required for them to assist you on any matter. Feel free to adjust it to your needs. This happens while older petitions go untouched. It seems that there needs to be some oversight into the order in which petitions are processed.
