I had the same revelation when I put my binder together......like this sh*t is no joke...it is a serious deal. When I went to JA at the end of April I took my massive binder to my SO and we went through everything together. I'm not able to go to the interview and I know at this point it is out of my hands..I'm not fretting about it (YET) because what is to be must be..........have faith and all will be well.....

Yeah, that's why I'm putting it all together, to take it with me when I go down there. I guess we'll find some time to go over the material in between all of our other activities.

I was just wondering how the Ds230 was delivered to the embassy, was it dropped off or mailed? I am preparing to send the forms to Marlon tomorrow.

Thanks I am so nervous but at least I am following JG's advice not to stress about it! I know it's there just out of my grasp. One question I do have is must I send the original NOA2 to Marlon or will a copy suffice? I have heard of people getting charged for misplacing theirs!?!?

I just wanted to pop in and say hi. My NOA2 should be right around the corner.
I will have so many questions post NOA2 stage and I hope I don't become a pest!

I hope everyone is well. It's been awhile since I posted here in this forum. I am still awaiting news on my RFE which was sent back to CSC on May 12. As of today there is NO record of it. I will send it again tomorrow.

Congrats Ebony! That sounded so easy

Congrats Shauna! You should be good to go now

Well back in April I applied for a job with the county sheriffs office as a records specialist. I went in for civil service testing yesterday (which was pretty hard honestly) but I passed everything with great scores. Now I have to wait to see if I am selected for oral boards (scored interview by a panel including the chief examiner) if I pass that I have to go through background checks and polygraph testing. Then they combine your scores from everything and make a list of the top however many and choose from that. Trust me it is quite the process and they say it will be another 4-6 weeks til they choose someone and it has already been almost 2 months! Crazy!

Anyways I am excited to have passed...hopefully I can pass the rest. Working for the county would pay almost 40% more plus all the great state benefits. Plus once you are in you are in

YAY! That means you are a smart cookie! Crossing fingers for you!

The NOA is Notice of Approval. You get an NOA1 when you first send in your Visa petition. Then, after it is approved, you will get an NOA2. The majority of us had to wait 2 to 4 months from the time we sent in our petition until we received an NOA2. That's why I said you're being impatient :P You just got your NOA1 on April 5 right? That was just a few weeks ago!!!
[/quote]

It's been almost 84 days for me, am I allowed to be impatient?

I'm still waiting for my NOA2. Thanks for all the love and support :luv:

It feels really good to get it all off my chest and not have to keep pretending that everything is "just peachy"...I have already heard from someone that I really helped them out by telling my story so it really does make it all worth it. Plus knowing that I have the support of you all is extremely worth it as well.

Just wanted to point something out...we are only separating...I am a firm believer in the marital vows and not divorcing but I also believe that God didn't mean for you to be in a harmful situation (both physical and emotional)

I hope and pray that we are able to work things out and that our marriage can be restored even greater than I can imagine...but you do have to have two willing participants and right now there is only one...

Thanks again everyone (L)

Jamie, I don't know you but I will say that I appreciate you sharing your experience. You are indeed a strong and great woman, with your faith and conviction in God, all will work out according to his plan for you!

Future Mrs.... when i went to the interview all they wanted was 1 year!!! but like darlene said better to be over prepared!!!
about the co-sponser yes they need to fill out the 1-864...you need form them...bank statments, letter form their employer, and a copy of their birth certificate...all that info is with the form....you don't need to get it noterized either

Ah-ha! It was you nannygirl who had posted that before! Thanks!
Thanks to everyone else too for answering my questions!

Congrats on all the moves!

Nobody has replied to my last post yet

Well, I sent an email to the Kingston Embassy and they told me I only need to submit the I-134, my W2's from 2006, my filed taxes for 2006, and an employer letter.

That seems too easy!

Input?

That is all that is needed from you. The other forms, DS156, DS 157, DS230 all need to come from Marlon. Plus all the other information he has to provide, ie..police record, non-impediment, medical, passport pictures new letter of intent, from you also. If I were you I would have your 2005 and 2004 tax copies with you. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks!
I am confused though about the sponsor thing. Does my sponsor need to submit the same that I do? And I remember from not too long ago on this forum about a K1 interviewee being required to submit an I-864????
Man I am confused!

After trouble-shooting some ink cartridge problems I spent a couple of hours typing and printing all of the paperwork that Marlon will need come NOA2 time. I also included the instructions and form for him to submit for his England police certificate (yes JG I am tough from here on out! lol)

I will send him 2 copies of everything so hopefully that will suffice?

As for the affidavit of support, sorry that I forgot, but me and my co-sponsor should fill out both I-134 and I-864 in duplicate to be on the safe side as to new embassy policies?

I got one employment verification, one to go but Blockbuster is giving me the run around :(

I have my tax transcripts from the IRS for 2003-2005 plus my turbo tax info for 2006.

Still need to get a bank letter and print out statements.

Does my co-sponsor need ALL of this as well?

Sorry of I am a pain, I just want to get this paperwork done and OVER with for the time being!

Thanks and much (L) to my VJ Yardie family! :luv:

Personal question do most of your guys smoke? My husband has never in his life time and I am just curious what the numbers are. Most people I know don't except for like 1.

Never 1
Sometimes 0
Yes Indeed 0

Tony used to smoke sometimes. He was not a heavy smoker by any means. I smoked with his cousin a bit while I was down there and Tony barely hit it. I'm not a big smoker either, but I can't resist the Jamaican ganja!
