US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 & Pay stubs?

Real quick question I can't seem to find in looking around...

How many pay-stubs is a good number to include with the I-134?

I would assume 3-4 tops? Please someone correct me if I am wrong!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWe Finally Got the NEWS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last night my dear Salve recieved a call frm the US Embassy in Taiwan concerning our case. We are so happy and excited. This has been a very long 3 weeks waiting after the MAJOR mistake by NVC. Our case got sent to Phillipines instead of Taiwan where Salve is living. Salve made 2 trips getting our case transferred and I contacted 3 US senators. Believe it or not Lamar Alexandar of Tennessee and Dianne Feinstein of California both emailed Taiwan and Manila about our case. Both senators were contacted and told the case left Manila on 12/6/06. I contacted the consulte in Taiwan on the 12 th and was told that it takes 4 weeks for the case to be in their hands. I was assured that we would be contacted the day they recieved the case. It happen they called and told Salve the case should be in her hands today.

My baby has everything ready except medical and interview date. She will return the packet the next working day plus a phone call to consulte. We are almost there!!!!!!!!! Salve called with the news last night telling me she will be home soon. We held the phone for 30 minutes laughing and crying together. I will report info later concerning medical and interview. :D (L)

Congrats! That is certainly awesome news! Good luck on the rest of your journey!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionWE ARE APPROVED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Salve just called WE ARE APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She had her first interview Jan. 19 but the consulte in Taiwan told her all the paper work was ok but he needed to check on something and he would call her this week. Our hearts was broken but our FAITH in ou GOD did not lets give up. They called yesterday told her to bring passport and letter he gave her to embassy. Him and another woman went in a private office, she thought the worse, but the only question was about my past prolbems that happen 20 years ago. Of course she told them yes i told her everything plus sent her a copy of the background check I had ran on myself. He said why did you not tell me because if you had told me you would have been approved last week. GOD IS SO GREAT

So ladies if your fiances have had problems in the past and he has told you speak up.

Congrats! Wishing you and your honey much happiness and bliss (F)

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionI-134 Affidavit Confusion

FutureMrs,

Being a temp is not as good as being a regular full-time employee, but it's not necessarily bad if you can show a history of consistently getting assignments and earning a good, steady income.

Yodrak

I am kinda in the same boat. I have been working at my job since January of 2001. I am a temporary working anywhere from 32-40 per week with no benefits. I am curious if it looks bad that I am a temp?

Ok thanks Yodrak!
I work for a community college as a GED Examiner and I have had steady income the whole time I have been here. I have also worked for Blockbuster on the weekends off and on for several years. The only reason I am classified as a temp is that I lack a BA degree which I will have next month and then on to finding a full-time and regular job. I do have a co-sponsor who makes way over the poverty guidelines so hopefully I will be safe. Thanks again for your much appreciated wisdom and advice!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionCo-sponsor & NOA2 question.
I am glad that this topic was posted as it leads to a question that I have. I need a sponsor and he has agreed. I am under the impression that he will need his tax transcripts, employer letter, bank letter, and the I34? But I have heard from recent Jamaica applicants that they want the other affidavit form. So I plan on sending both. So my question is does my sponsor need just the affidavit or all that other stuff too?

Thanks.

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFionce surgery before interview
I had the very same surgery years ago. She will be in pain for at least 1-2 weeks and won't be able to lift anything. As long as you provide the paperwork from the surgery it should'nt be too much of a problem. And tell her not to worry, the scars teeny tiny and the surgery is cake! She may want at least 2 days of sleep afterwards!

I will most likely be in the same boat as you as my fiance needs to get his police report from the UK and it can take up to 40 days. I agree with everyone who has posted, they will approve you but you will need to provide that to them before they issue the visa.

Good luck!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionFinancial Requirement

Here is the link to the USCIS page with the current poverty guidelines. Show this to your attorney.

http://www.uscis.gov...form/I-864P.pdf

Here's a question: this webpage of the poverty guidelines states that is for the use of the I-864. What about for the I-134 for the K1 visa? The reason I ask is because last year I made the 2006 125% income but according to the 2007 guidelines I am short by about $412.00 dollars. So I will have a sponsor who is a married couple who filed jointly but they did make above the 125% poverty line for a family of 5, the 5 being my fiance. This is all so confusing!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionProblems getting employment verification...

I've read some posts where they couldn't get employment letters from their employers. So they have nothing else but tax returns, pay stubs and bank statements. You do what you can with what you have. ;)

Thanks, isn't that the truth! I will do with what I have, they certainly leave me with no choice!

Thanks and yes my paystubs do. I just hate that they are unwilling to give me what I need! lol

I estimated my annual salary by multiplying my hourly rate by 2000 hours. That will give them a rough estimate. They will look at your adjusted gross income on your 2006 tax return and your paystub will verify your hourly rate.

Can I estimate as well? The reason I ask is that my hours per week flucuate between 32-40.
Dwarf_OgressFemale02007-04-24 21:01:00
US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionProblems getting employment verification...

Contact the consulate. Ask them what documentation is sufficient for the I-134. Mine only needed my 2006 tax return and an employment letter. Although, my employer legally couldn't give me an employment letter. So, I sent my employment agreement, 3 months worth of paystubs, 2006 tax return, and 3 years prior tax transcripts. I sent more than they requested and they accepted it. Check with them to be sure.

BTW...Your paystubs should show your hourly wage.

I work 2 jobs and my primary job is for the community college district. I called human resources and combined with what they gave me as well as the letter my boss wrote I should be fine. Neither one of the forms mentions my hourly income as I am not paid on salary. I have all of the communications to attach if necessary. On the other hand, I work for Blockbuster video on the weekends. So I have called their human resources and they have been giving me the run around! What should I do in the event that they won't give me what I need?

Thanks!

Marlon asked me to text message the website so he could go to a cyber cafe to print the form. He sent me a text yesterday that he sent it to England already so we are rolling along! I did tell him now he needs the No Impediment to Marriage form, he is going to get that soon!

I just heard from Marlon and he wants me to mail the form to him but he doesn't have the money right now. It's so hard not to be mad at him when he tells me that he can't stop loving me especially because I go the extra mile for him! (L) Ok enough puky stuff! lol

He needs to get in gear or else I will start a fire under his #######!

Yes, but you still have to get tough with him.

I used to tell Jomo...if I was working this hard on my end, he had to pull his weight on his. He never disappointed.

True that!

Thanks so much to everyone for answering my question! I hope Marlon gets on this because I would hate to have a delay due to this! I know the last place he lived in was Birmingham, I have no idea what county that is but I will be sure to let him know.

Thanks again!

I told you to get on it a LONG time ago. You better be up his butt until he gets this done, Mars.

It's not my fault that he's a procrastinator! :help:

Mags: Thanks, you are a doll! I will print the form and information for him and mail it to him this week!

Well, Marlon I am sure has not requested his police record from the time that he lived in England. I keep mentioning it to him. So what I would like to know is how he would go about doing this? Is there a website?

Thanks!

Some points of clarification and an answer:
- The K visas are non-immigrant visas. Immigrant (I-864) concepts do not apply, non-immigrant concepts apply.
- There is no such thing as 'co-sponsorship' for non-immigrant visas, there is only a sponsor. In the case of the K visas the sponsor usually is, but need not be, the sponsor, and will not be the sponsor if the petitioner does not qualify to sponsor.
- The non-petitioner sponsor for a K visa can be a Joint Sponsor (or a Household Member, is appropriate) for the adjustment of status if the petitioner remains financially unqualified. (Financially qualified or not, the petitioner is the Sponsor for an immigrant.)

Yodrak

Yodrak:
Last year I made around $16,700 between 2 jobs. According to the 2006 guidelines I made enough but not according to 2007. Which one counts for me? Also, do I and my sponsor need to fill out an I-134 or I-684???
Thanks!
