K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE received back by VSC	Usually, after you reply to an RFE, approval is not far behind. Hopefully, you'll get your NOA2 shortly. Is NOA2 the Approval of application or Affidavit of Support? NOA2=Approval Thas cool but seems Affidavit of support would come before it was approved? NOA2 is approval of your petition only, it doesn't mean your fiance will get the visa. After NOA2, it's up to the Embassy to either approve or deny a visa and that's when Affidavit of Support comes into play. I see.... cool. Money not a problem. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	RFE received back by VSC	So, does anyone know if those of us with "newer" applications (received RFEs regarding the IMBRA law but do not have our NOA2 yet), now have to wait until those who do have their NOA2s,but have not received said RFEs, reply to the RFE and THEN they will look at our case until they're done with the "older" applications? They were pretty picky with my citizenship application in 2002 So we have to do whatever possible to "please" them in any way... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Will we get an RFE?	Yeah, I'm almost 100% sure you will. When I moved to the US 359 years ago, they made me retake my picture about 50 times. My fiance did the same thing, and had to run all over town and did not find a place that would do it with a white background. Eventually he found a place that just used the wall (doh!). I did what aussiewench suggested and printed out the scanned picture using kodak's glossy photo paper and my dad's jet printer. They came out great! The biggest advice I can give you is to start gathering evidence of having met & of your relationship. This is probably the hardest part of the K1 process. In Argentina, they usually take your picture with a digital camera and then crop it to THEIR correct dimensions. What my fiance did was to ask the photo place to give him a digital copy of the picture in a CD before they cropped it and then cropped it to the correct dimensions himself. This sounds a little complicated, I know. Parece que todos los paises latinos hacen la misma cosa . K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	What do you do about a meeting with no proof?	Question about 'proof of meeting' for the 1-129F: The boy and I have been together since March of 2004, and between the two of us we probably have about 10 visits, all told. We're probably getting engaged in August and then starting the process in September. We don't, however, have primary evidence for half of those trips -- an engagement wasn't immediately on our minds, so the primary evidence I have starts in July of 2005 (passport stamps) and March of this year (no entry stamp (don't ask -- Edmonton airport at midnight with 500 other people), but an exit stamp, plus boarding passes receipts.), plus my upcoming visit in August (where we'll document everything, of course). So, clearly, we have enough primary evidence of meeting, and we have loads of secondary evidence with pictures and things. I can probably even dig up secondary itineraries & credit card bills for those flights. Not worried about that. But my question is what to do about the meetings where we have no primary or secondary evidence (our first one and a few of his trips here.) or just limited secondary evidence. I don't want to leave out the meetings because they're pretty important to give the sense of the nature of our relationship. But will it be confusing to mention that say, I flew there in 2004 but as I a) entered with my birth certificate and driver's license and B) didn't save my boarding pass and c) we took pictures of the scenery in Banff and Jasper, not of us together, I am including neither primary nor secondary evidence for this trip? Did anyone else have a similar situation? I had a similar problem. Who would have thought that I'd ever need my plane tickets in 1998? Eventhough I explained that we met in 1998, I just included evidence that we have at least seen in each in the past 2 years, eventhough it wasn't the first time we met. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Where is my NOA1? How long does it take to recieve?	Me and my fiance have a lawyer he submitted our I129f on May 11, 2006 recieved date was on May 16th i thought it was supposed to take 30 days (business days) to get a response but nothing yet. It is at the CSC so i know we have a long wait but i don't think it should have taken this long just to recieve a NOA1 most posts that i have read here people are recieving them in about 1-3 weeks so i have no idea what's going on. I contacted my lawyer he has not recieved anything either. No point in calling immigration because they will not tell you anything, besides that is our lawyers job to do that. Also i would like to now some people's experience from CSC and how long the fiancee visa process takes. My fiancee is from Egypt so i expect a much longer wait helpful experience advice would be appreciated. I will keep you posted if anything changes thank you. And good luck to everyone i know all this waiting is agonizing pain but at least i know there are people out there who are going through the same and to me and my love its hard but in the end if he gets approved i know the wait is worth it. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Cheap Passport Photos	Ifyou have a digital camera, why don't you ask a friend or so to take them, then go on the computer and resize them so they will match the requrements. Just think about the white background...take a few shots and then take the one that comes out best. Basically, that's what the photographer did when I got my pics taken. (If you decide to try it: He had me sit on a barstool type of chair, told me to put my hands on my legs with the fingertips pointing towards each other. Like that, he said, the shoulders coming up a little and it looks better (it did). Also, chin up and slightly forward.) Good luck, it's for sure the cheapest way if you have to have a lot of pics. (Ok, not sure how much good photo print paper costs.....) Mine were free I followed the passport photo guides, used my 5 megapixel digi cam, a tripod and my sister. I cropped the pic to the correct dimensions and printed them out on my dad's hp ink jet printer and free kodak glossy photo paper that came with said printer.
