Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hiya vylex wow vy is really busy..hope she doesnt have to any more study and her credentials are good enough ... i tell ya the best thing i did was get my licence...it gave me my independence back which i missed when i first arrived here...i know robbie didnt mind driving me around but with his schedule it was hard...and he still drives me around when were going out lol..what can i say he loves driving..lol... all is well here..bought our first house together and its coming along lovely painted nearly all the rooms now and come spring we will be doing stuff outside...work is going well..they have cut back on hours but i dont mind that its nice to have a few days home during the week...doing my removal of conditions in july so that is my next step...one of my friends at the hospital couldnt believe i had to do that even though i married an american....good to hear from ya mate and that everything is going so well for you two... Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi katz as i said in my post..go to your local doctor and ask for blood tests relating to your age group on the sheet in packet 3 to see which ones you are ammuned to...ask the pathologist to put these tests on medicare..get your doctor to print out the results on his letter head...also you can get the syphillis and hiv testing done...the x-rays you have to pay for which the medical examiner will schedule for you...take these results to the medical examination... at the examination they take blood pressure ask your weight and take your height heart examination pulse and so forth...there are other posts recently that explained this also.. good luck kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2008-01-08 02:53:00

Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi patrica as to your dilema mate...dont get a postal order they wont accept it...i remember a post from someone who had a similar situation but it was about a perth post office giving her the wrong kind of receipt... gawd i hope im not wrong in this one but i think the outcome at her interview was that she had to go downstairs to get the correct receipt and go back up and hand it in...for the life of me i cant remember the username of this person..try checking the aussie embassey reviews think she might of put something about it in there... good idea about contacting the mlc post office im sure they will be able to help you bet they get heaps of people going in there for just this kinda thing...and no they dont need to see your x-rays mate just your medical...it is a stressful time mate you will do fine im sure...good luck to you for your interview... hope everyone had a lovely christmas and here's to a fantastic 2008 of many reunions and for those here a great and happy 2008 to be in store for you all.. take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-12-30 13:52:00

I applied for my social security card 2 weeks after arriving here...email sydney and ask that question im sure they will set you right on it.. hope everyone has a lovely christmas wherever you are...dont know if were going to be having a white one here we havent had anymore snow since last sunday.. one more shift for me today and im off for the week wont get paid for it but it will be nice to spend a week with hubby..and thank goodness this christmas madness is nearly over....retail really puts a downer on the christmas spirit... take care all have a good one.. kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-12-22 12:16:00

Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi ya pris fantastic that you have a new interview date...glad you got that organised and you dont have to stress for a bit mate..enjoy the visit... hi hd.. on the thing with the entry ..you know you can register with the an australian government website where you register your travel plans...well why dont you do that and print the registration...bit of added evidence that your going home...its on the website where you can apply for australian passports...also about the dhl searching.. just put in the search engine above dhl tracking and look for mor recent postings cos as i said i dont know if it is still an available option for us to do so... well my hubby done it again...he would be hopeless at playing santa lol...each year he always gives me presents before the day....he had 2 prssies for me which one do i want to open the heavy or the light one..me picking the light one it turned out to be a wii...i was so rapt...i know im too old for it lol but it will be good exercise and something for the kids to play with when they come over...lol take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-12-10 00:42:00
Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi whisper welcome to the thread as for the marriage certificate they will accept the one that is given at the ceremony in oz...if i remember rightly that is given to you on the day of your marriage so keep it safe.. guides for CR1/IR1 also take a look at the USCIS website at the forms..it will have all the fees on the forms you have to send in... someone asked about the medical the doctor weighs you .. measures your height...asks you questions off the medical forms...then you get on the examining table and he/she presses your stomach...i think that is is..mine was coming up to be 2 years ago.. it is painless....i know it was discussed in previous posts so do a search in here for more info... if i have forgotten anything im sure another aussie who has had it done will add to it... hd we use to be able to check DHL to see if it had arrived at the consulate but havent had a look at their site in awhile..do a search for DHL tracking posts will come up with what you have to enter to find yours... take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-12-08 12:33:00

United Kingdom	Travelling to US whilst waiting for K1	hi there i came over with our K1 journey approved..i had no problems at the airport.. but what i did bring with me for the visit was ...a letter from my employer stating my vaction time and what date i will be starting work again...bank records current statement...my rental statements.. the only question of me was who i was visiting an i told them my fiance ...and got told enjoy my stay they have all your information on the computer about you...they can see if you are a risk of staying over illegally... i wouldnt worry too much on it....i say that after entering while on the journey lol take care an good luck in the rest of your journey kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2006-09-19 15:53:00
