K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	has anyone done the K2 for younger kids	hi leaving children behind is a big decision and shouldn't be entered into lightly..i waited till my children were at an age where they were independent of me working left home ... as the above tells you ... you can't bring the children into the country if you dont have the permission of the father.. weigh up your options talk to your fiance about it...but your kids are so young they need a mum their with them...(my opinion) its hard enough for all of us that have left children behind of an age where we could..although i talk to my daughter every day on msn its still hard...and my son is living with his father which i didnt want but i cant do anything about which sometimes when i let it get to me really gets me down... good luck on your decision making kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2006-11-19 14:29:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NOA 1	hi there give this number a call 1-800-375-5283 .. also has your fiance change address? ask your fiance to get a copy of the cashed cheque .. there is usually a receipt number on the back of the cheque..this might be able to be put in the status page at USCIS website to see how your case is going...it will be a LIN XXXXXXXXXX (10 numbers) as for living in the states while the process is pending i dont know about that...im not sure on the length of stay a canadian can stay in the states without overstaying the length of time are allowed to stay here...hopefully a canadian can answer you that one..there is a candian thread reading the post might help too good luck kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2006-11-26 16:22:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	about to send off my forms!!!	hi there we used paper clips to seperate the sections.... did you get photo copies of his birth certficate also and his passport if he entered the u.s. the only thing i could suggest was to post it express post next day delivery and keep the receipt number so you can track it on usps online....and make a copy of the entire package for your records just in case they send an RFE i know its something not nice to think on but just in case they state to you we didnt receive such and such... good luck to you and i hope it is a speedy process for you both take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-02-01 20:15:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	The whole EAD thing........	hi there yep ya right it is valid for 90 days only ... as soon as you get your marriage certificate you apply for an EAD along with your AOS...your not suppose to work after the 90 days with going through JFK and getting a stamp.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Interview after expriration date of NOA2?	hi ya if you already have your interview date the embassey surely would of automatically extended it..they would know when it expires...i know we shouldnt take it for granted that the embassey is going to entend the date for us.. we extended ours .. it was expiring in april 2006 but my now husband was comin over to oz so he wrote a letter of extension to the embassey... email them to make sure it has been extended or ring them... good luck kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-03-10 18:17:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Just Starting....Reading All The Info....	hi and welcome to VJ as all the others have said just read all the guidelines use the example forms and be patient..double triple check all forms that are to be sent in and dont forget to sign and date the forms.. relationship evidence includes photo's boarding passes and your passport pages ... make copies of whatever you send in for your own records and put all your copies in a folder and know where you have put that folder for future reference... my husband (then fiance) sent our application by express post for next day delivery with USPS they give you a tracking number which you can track online.. dont loose your NO2 (approval notice) this is needed for your AOS pettition... your visa is valid for 6months and you must get married within 90 days of arriving in the states... there is a Canadian thread on here also which might help you too just go to forums regional discussions and see where it is.. take care and good luck and dont stress over it too much.. kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-04-23 20:11:00
