Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Why the biometrics appointment	hi ya the way i see it is ..the process is to prove that you are the person that entered the U.S. on the particular visa you received.. also this way they have an update of your fingerprints for future reference ...the only thing that bothered me with the whole biometrics thing was they didnt use the photo's I sent in for your GC but the one that was taken at the appointment..mine was not as good as the ones i posted in lol... some other might give you a better answer but that is how i see it... good luck in the rest of your journey kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-03-29 16:20:00
Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	Will my son not be able to get his conditions removed?	hi aussie girl i have seen on our clerk of courts where you can look up criminal records and also on the dmv you can apply for a copy if anything is on record ... what i would be doing is exactly that...do an online search for criminal records in your county...and even if it costs 40 dollars it will put your mind at rest about the situation... not too sure what impact this would have on the removal of conditions...seeing your son did his community service surely it wouldnt hurt his petition...maybe do a search also on USCIS about it... fingers crossed that someone else will have a better answer for you mate.. take care and good luck kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2007-06-14 02:08:00

Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussion	does the US citizen needs to change address also?	hi there when we moved i sent in my change of address then month later getting told the sponsor had to also...what i did was i made a copy of my change of address and forward it with my husbands change of address... then when i was removing conditions i sent these copies also within my application...i know i probably went a bit overboard but i really wanted them to know we both completed the forms.. also we received a I-797 notice that they received his but i never got one for mine... good luck with the removal part of this journey and you dont have to wait too long.. take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2009-01-07 03:19:00

Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi elle an welcome nice to see a few new faces in here hope all goes well for you..with your vaccinations you can go to your local doctor and get blood tests done to see what you are ammuned to..an its done through medicare...but keep your receipts an your results from your doctor together to show the medical examiner...also when you are at the medical ask for a full copy of your medical because you need the vaccination copy for your Adjustment of Status after you are married.. read all the guidelines and embassey reviews on here it gives you an idea what your in for at the interview..if you need any help with anything someone is sure to answer your questions. good luck kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2006-11-11 12:46:00
Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	AUSTRALIAN DCF FORUM Hi an welcome to the aussie thread.... above is a link that might help you with DCF in oz...yes with a DCF you have to be married and it doesnt matter where you have gotten married either (from memory)... there was one..Mellie...her petition was lost so they cancelled their K1 petition and went DCF.... you could look some of her posts up and see how she went about it.. there has been about 4 or 5 people who have done DCF..in the aussie DCF thread they outline the new procedures that might answer some of your quiestions.. as for visiting ...I did just that with no problems..I got my boss to write a letter stating when i was going on vacation and when i was expected to resume work..I also took my most recent bank account and my rental statements that I use to get each month..with all that in my handbag at the POE i wasnt asked for any of it..when asked why i was visiting i just stated the truth visiting my fiance...and had no probs whatsoever... yes many of us are in the states now but we still come in here an let everyone know were still kicking an whats happening in our lives over here.. by the way which state you living in oz hope your journey whichever route you take will be a short one... take care kath	Kath	Female	Australia	2006-11-10 18:13:00

Asia: East and Pacific	LAND DOWNUNDER	hi there friday 3rd was a very productive day robbie got his car re-registered an while we were there i got my Ohio State Id card done with no hassles this time round then i tried to get my western union birthday money cashed from my sis an couldnt so went back to our bank and opened a bank account an deposited it in there and i got a $500 limit credit card in my name for emergency purposes.. the bank manager was excited for me that i got a State Id that day and when i had finished with her i said whooo hoo and she laffed..probably not understanding that this was a day i gained some independence lol walking out my husband is smiling ear to ear i asked why an he said im getting a kick out of seeing your reactions to all we have accomplished today..lol hes a dag but i love him... take care kath whoops forgot to add...Kaffykat got her EAD approved the other day...
