US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionTemp EAD
hi ya kym
the temp EAD in through JFK...this is valid for your fiance to work to the date of expiry on his I-94..so the thing you will have to do is get married send in your AOS and EAD package asap....way before the temp EAD expires....that way his employer won't fire him because he lacks an EAD or Greencard to keep working..

good luck

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPolice certificate
hi there
you need the national police check..that has name and fingerprinting..you will have to have your fingerprints done on a card and post it over to them...
the last few days there has been discussion on this in the aussie thread..with some pics to show the certificate from various states...

also if you have lived in costa ricca for more than a year you will have to get one from there also...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPackets from Sydney consulate
hi there
depends how long it would take to get your police check in your hands..some take 2 weeks some take longer...
and the same for the medical..depends how busy the doctors are for you to receive an appointment...and this time of year some doctors do take time off...

which state is your fiance in...

we do have an aussie thread on here ..and there are a few in there still that are at the same stage you are at...
i know one of the aussie just got an interview date on 19th dec and her's was sent to syd at the beginning of november approx...

i would ring the doctors and the police department of his state and find out how long it take to get your paperwork in your hands before you go ahead and send in the readiness form...

also did your fiance know he can go to his local doctor and get blood tests done through medicare to find out what he is ammuned to for the vaccination sheet

good luck to you both your on your way to being together soon.. so it's really up to you if you want to send it in and take the chance that you wont have everything by the time you get an interview....

dont forget to include some kind of identification photocopied with the application and you will be all set..
i have included the wedbsite so if you have any other questions you could always email them...

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionVaccination requirements
hi there

what you could also do is get a blood test to state your ammunity to the above..but if your doctor has all your vaccination records get him to write a letter stating what you have..take it with you to your medical examination...also remember to ask the medical examiner to give you a copy of the vaccination sheet he will fill out because it is needed for your AOS..
also dont forget to photocopy all these documents for your own record..
good luck..

hi
i would give USCIS a call to verify the procedure for this particular application is..as to how you can check the status online...

the reply was it a NOA1 on official paper or was it just a letter from the Detroit office..?? if you have a receipt number without the LIN maybe that is the way you can enter it in the online status page..

US Citizenship General DiscussionPergatory!
hi
even though your wife is thinking of becoming a u.s. citzen she has to remove conditions and start that within the 90 day timeframe prior to expiration of her 2 year greencard..

i found this in the guides for removing conditions for you that might explain it better for you

If you fail to properly file the Form I-751 (Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence) within the 90-day period before your second anniversary as a conditional resident, your conditional resident status will automatically be terminated and the USCIS will order removal proceedings against you. You will receive a notice from the USCIS telling you that you have failed to remove the conditions, and you will also receive a Notice to Appear at a hearing. At the hearing you may review and rebut the evidence against you. You are responsible for proving that you complied with the requirements (the USCIS is not responsible for proving that you did not comply with the requirements).

so first you have to remove conditions then apply for naturalisation...

hope that was some help

CanadaACTIVATION OF K1 VISA-CANADA TO USA
hi there

hope you don't mind me asking this question but my fiance and i have been going round and round in circles to which would be the best way ...

in june we want to travel from melbourne australia to toronto canada to go to a room meet then travel from toronto to niagra falls then into the states..scene set...

now the things we cant figure out is this

if we land in toronto do i have to activate my K1 VISA there which will be in my australian passport...or can i enter canada on my british passport so i dont activate it ....

also when we cross the border from niagra falls to new york can i use my australian passport and activate it from that crossing (not sure if the niagra falls bridges do the K1 VISA thing)
also just thought of it ..do i get an EAD stamp in my passport or is that just JFK airport..

would appreciate any help and advise ... robbie is leaving his car in toronto so we will be driving to the falls..i hope i havent confused anyone either...

thanks

yeah i agree either way ..we sent in for our aos stuff a personal cheque but for the I-129f application we went with western union and both were accepted...

if you are doing a personal cheque you can see your receipt number on the back of your cheque which helps in tracking on uscis website to how your application is coming along

i hope you dont have too long to wait till you get it back in your hands....if you have a job would it make much difference to your employer....i hope not ...

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionSSN question (after green card)
Hi
you shouldnt have no problems with obtaining a SSN for your child if your daughter has her greencard already..
that is the best identification stating she can have one..

how come you didnt apply for one when your wife got her SSN...were you rejected...sorry but just curious...

just an added thought for you...take everything along with you anything that would help get the SSN...eg. passport, USCIS correspondence about your daughter, her GC, birth certificate and if you have anything like insurance that lists her that way it will show her address also...
take care
good luck
