Well tomorrow is the day and me and Marivic are nervous she has her interview, and she is going over her papers as I watch her on cam. I pray all goes well it is good i work at night becoz i won't be able to sleep anyway. This process has gone on longer than we expected. What a rude awakening is waiting here with the cold temps and snow here in Pennsylvannia, I am sure she will stay wraped in a afgan all day. Wish us luck and all who are going through the same.

It does seem that he is trying to rip you off we got married in Queson City hall but we didn't have to pay the judge since he is a friend of my mother in law. But if you want a nice restaurant for reception try Palatofino in Makati on Jupiter St. it is very nice and cozy with very good food. It is where we had our reception and got a good deal. I know alot of the dipolmats from the embassy go there to eat so it is nice.

Philippinescheap way to ship package
I have used the USPS numerous times and have had no problem they arrive in about 10 to 12 days and all is intact and unopened. But it does depend on where it is going the outer areas maybe different mine went to cavite.

Documents I sent USPS Global Priority and it took 6 days and you can tract it the whole way online.
USPS is cheaper then Fedex , DHL, or UPS.

I'm from Manila, and I love to swim a lot and doing scuba diving. My family loves to go out of town, going to the beach to swim and snorkling. When I was a kid I remember when we had a school break, My mother will bring me to her province in Laguna where she was born, she even let my siblings to swim in the river in running water from the Banahaw mountain. Oh my, it was a nature place...that is what I miss in PI. Especially going to Bonito Island in Batangas where I hang every weekend.

I may be a little stupid here but what does the DS-157 have to do with a bank I looked at it 3 times and don't see anything about a bank......SOMEONE PLEASE ENLIGHTEN ME :blink:


It is in the instructions for the K1 Visa sent by the USE/Manila. This particular form has to be taken to a bank that is listed within the instructions. After you have paid the visa fee the bank then validates the DS 157 form and gives you a receipt. This is needed when you go to the interview.
