We did the same thing. A complete log of chat dates over the last 2 yrs plus a page of chat each, one from each month over that time. We weren't ask for any of it, so don't know what the CO would have thought about it.

From all the IR-CR Interview experience I have been seeing..

The bottom line is..

PICTURES ARE A MUST!!

That's it.. Seems like they don't ask for anymore Documents.. Like CEMAR, NBI, Police Clearance..

Well duh.. :bummer: We already submitted them to NVC..

I agree with roserick!
just have your pictures your web chats thru the option on your keyboard "Printscreen" then paste it on your windows 'Paint' accesory.
that's what i did....
during my interview, all they asked from me are pictures...i thnk all they need to establish is that you have met in person and that you're really a couple...
Some pre-screeners are stricter tho, they ask for some emails and love letters....

I got approved of visa pick-up as well last feb 7 interview. The consul said it will surely be available on tuesday and I should wait for a call before that. I asked my husband to call the embassy tomorrow morning. I planned to have my trip on Feb 14 and I will still arrive in the US on valentine's day.

There was a post here about their visa interview same date that I was and they got a call from the embassy the day after. His fiancee's visa can be pick-up on monday. So I hope ours will be available on monday too.

Yes racquel!
I'm hoping and praying...
I did read the post that u were talking about...i think that was ILOVEJOY...they got a call a day after...shucks it's unfair, just because they have their fiances during their interview means they get to have their visas faster than we did? I mean I was approved on before they were, and the embassy haven't given me a call yet...My fiance already called them last friday and he's calling the embassy again on monday to inquire about the hold up of the visa.... blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif
I really hope they call us on monday...=)

Thank you for all your replies...

I also got one more question though. Will it be fine to have the medical more than a month before your scheduled interview? I read from someone's post that if you are to have your medical more than a month before your scheduled interview, there is a possibility that the Consulate might ask you to have another Medical appointment. SO please help me on this thing, as I got plans on having my early medical appointment on Feb 5&6, while my nterview is March 10.

Any answer will be greatly appreciated...

Maybe..but its not really advisable to take a one-month advance medical exam (in reference to the interview date)..ideal is 2-3 weeks...

y is it not adviseable?

Am planning to have my early medical on Feb 5&6 (my appointment is March 3). And before I will have my medical on Feb 5, I will be attending the CFO seminar on Feb 4...

So the questions that bother my mind are:

1. Will it be ok if I just show up in CFO early monday morning and attend the seminar? Is there no reservation prior to the attendance? what are the things that I need to bring for my CFO seminar? Do they require a passport in the seminar?

2. Will it be fine if I just show up in SLEC on Feb 5&6 without any advance notice? Will they just allow me to have my medical on that day? And also what are the things that I need to bring with me for the medical? I read that I need to present the copy of my NOA2 during the medical. Is this true? blink.gif unsure.gif blink.gif unsure.gif

3. Can I already pay the document verification fee at the metrobank now?

4. As for the picture, is it just a passport sized picture? As far as my knowledge goes, the passport photos are now change from white background to blue. Will this be the case for my pcitures for the remainder of the process?

So far, these are the questions that I have in mind. Please help VJ family.

Ill try to be of help to u:
Question#1:
Im not very familiar with the CFO as i havent yet taken my seminar. i plan on taking it after i recieve my visa and passport from the embassy (God willing i'd be approved). Some of the VJers advised me to just take it after i get the passport with visa so i wont have to go back for my sticker.
Take note: If u have your early medical before your CFO seminar, you wont be able to present your passport to the people at the CFO since SLEC would be the one to send your passport, together with your med exam results to the embassy for your interview.

Question#2:
You can proceed to SLEC as long as you have your appointment letter and a photocopy (either from the packet or printed from the internet), 3 pieces of 2x2 pictures and black pen...Dont go there on Mondays because it's hectice during mondays, preferrably middle of the week to avoid large crowds.

Question#3:
You can actually pay the P650 document verification fee at any metrobank branch..just follow the directions on the website regarding how to pay thru the delbros account.

Question#4:
Just bring a 2x2 picture with you. I had 3 pieces 2x2 visa format photos just to be sure...i didnt want to take any chances of any hassles and they accepted it.

LASTLY, you can visit Beng and Carl's VJ account:
http://www.visajourn...h...=100458&hl=
which documents her experience during her medical last december....

Goodluck!

US Embassy and Consulate DiscussionPACKET 4 QUESTION.....
aloha,

i was wondering where does the respective consulate send the packet 4? do they send it to the beneficiary in the usa (as they did with the packet 3) or do they send it to the petitioner in his or her foriegn country?

this is of a bit of concern for 2 reasons, firstly that my fiance lives in a very rural part of cambodia, and second, i know that the local post office likes to rifle through her incoming parcels.

can anyone tell me where they received the packet 4?

aloha,

The petitioner is the USC, the beneficiary is the person who does not live in the U.S.
Packet 3 and 4 are sent to the beneficiary, since that is the person who needs the information.

are you sure...i thought i was the petitioner of the 129-f application on the us side. and she in turn is the petitioner of the k-1 fiance visa ....at least that it how she was addressed on the packet 3 that i received from the bangkok-usa consulate.

just wondering if by chance anyone in the usa received the packet 4, as i did the packet 3.

and another thing, can packet 4 status be checked on line or at the least, the interview date?

we have received packet 3. we have done the medicle and gotten together all the required doc's. we have sent back to bangkok what they have asked for, now then.....

do we just wait for a packet 4 and an interview date? or do we make our interview date ourselves by way of the bangkok consular web service or phone service? i am a bit confused at this because when looking at the bangkok embassy website, it seems as the our only choice is either to make the interview is by way of the web service or the phone service (both at a cost)

US Embassy and Consulate Discussionbankok embassy - packet 4 question..
aloha all,

my fiance is cambodian, we are working thru the thai embassy in bangkok.

i see on the website that out interview is scheduled for december 1, 2006 ( hooray !! ) however, we, or i have not yet received our packet 4 telling us of our interview. because my brother did not receive his packet 4 untill 2 weeks before the actual interview date i would like to prepare for this potential eventuality.

could anyone please tell me what is contained in the packet 4?
could you please tell me what documents that the packet 4 will ask me to bring to the interview?
my brother told me that there is an exact order and exact method of presenting said documents, is this so? and, is there some link around here that i have missed that perhaps points this out?

i am very thankful for anyone that could share any information or advice that could help with our upcoming culmination of our visa journey.

US Embassy and Consulate Discussioncambodia - ir-1 interview -how long til visa???
aloha all,

i know this is a very hypothetical question with no exact answer possible, but because my work is not being very flexable with my time-off allowed- i will ask it anyways.....and i do appreciate your answers!

we have an interview on july 13th, its a monday. i feel real good about our chances of success as we have been married for 2 years and have a very well documented history of nearly six years (i have been back to see her probably 25 times, and we have traveled to about 10 different countries together)

the crux of the problem is my work will only give me 1 week off. ideally, i would like to be there with her for the medicle exam, the interview, and the reception of visa and flight back to my home together in maui. obviously, the exam she can do herself, and probably the interview as well. but the travel part by herself i feel i should be with her (not alot of direct flights from phnompenh to maui!) she is pretty much a country bumpkin, and she would have to fly to a 3rd country (thai, viet, singapore, malay, etc.) overnight there (as well as have the correct visa for said country) then fly to japan, onward to honolulu, clear customs, then arrange interisland travel onward to maui. not an easy task, and we have not even discussed purchasing the air tickets.

should i -

1) go to the interview on monday, hope that we can get the visa by friday, then hop on a plane and start the journey home on saturday. (if that didnt work, i would probably have to fly back the next week or so and make a long weekend to fly her back - expensive, and a pain in da butt)

2) or, send her to the interview by herself, then when she receives her visa, fly over and bring her back (i feel very strongly about being at the interview)

oh, did i point out that my boss is a total jerkoff....he could easily cut me the time off - i even have an abundance of vacation time to use !!!!!

whaddaya think??

anyone with experience with the phnompenh us embassy care to tell me what you think based on your time there?

K-3 Spouse Visa Process & Procedurescan smell the finish line, then emergency sends wife back..
aloha,

i will get right to the point - we follow the process to the tee (thankyou visajourney), then we receive our apointment date for biometrics and then 2 weeks following biometrics our appointment for aos. (btw, we were k1 fiance visa, then married after her arrival in usa).

so after a very quick and painless biometrics appointment in honolulu, we return to our home on maui. the next day my wife gets a call and a family emergency requires her immediate return to her home country. we rush back to her country, miss our aos appointment, thus forfieting our aos application.

so now my wife is stuck back in her country, and i guess now my only option is to start all over, but this time by way of k3 visa as we are now married.

is this in fact our only option? my wife is devastated, but she'll be coming back, right?
