Removing Conditions on Residency General Discussionrescheduling a biometrics
Has anyone ever done that. I just got my biometrics appointment and i will be in new york. Do they frown apon you if you reschedule? This trip has been booked for months. We are going down to meet my parents whom i havent seen in 8 months. They will be in new york for a few days before heading back to ireland. Do i just check the box and sent the biometrics appointment back to uscis in vermont.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionQuestion on rescheduling my biometrics
In my biometrics letter there us an area to check the box to reschedule" upon receipt of your request you will be provided with a new apointment notice. Make of a copy of this notice for your records, then mail the original to my local service centre located in boston.

Then underneath that it also says mail a copy to the service center where you filed your i-751, peteition to remove conditions on residence,

So from the above where do i send the request, the local service center here in boston or the vermont uscis. There seems to be conflicting views on other forums that i have research on here so now i am confused. Please help.

When i check the box to reschedule to do i send it back to Vermont or my local usis in Boston? Should i arrange an infopass?

If a scheduling conflict - most offices will accept walk-ins if you can go earlier (as long as you have your appointment letter).

Thanks, My apointment is on december 2nd, i wont be able to make it that day. Do i send the reschuling request back to USCIS in vermont or to my local uscis in boston. Would an infopass help? The earliest they can do an infopass is the 24th but that is cutting it a bit tight with my biomatrics schduled for a week later. Does anyone know if they accept walkins in boston as i could easily pop in during my luch hoour or before i start work as the office is only a 5 minute walk from my office?

Congrats!
This is a bit off topic, but did you have any 'touches' online?Or did you just receive a letter in the mail?
My timing is almost identical to yours and I was transfered to CSC on the same day as you...I haven't had any touches.Getting a bit antsy...
Thanks.

I'm sure you'll get your card within 2 week. When you move, request a mail forwarding service.I have done it many times and have always received every important documents.Hopefully you won't need it...

I received no updates from CRIS. Still shows that i was transferred to CSV. I hope you get something soon. Thanks for the replies.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApproved - Query about getting card on time

I was transferred to CSV from VSC on the 10th of March. I did my biometrics in boston in the first week of december after i had to reschedule. I was approved last week. I was kinda suprised but they must have thought my case was full proof. Now here is the potential problem. We are due to move into a new place in 4-5 weeks. Even though the letter said the card will be mailed within the next 60 days does it really take that long.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTravelling next week - Quick Question

I had an infopass this morning and got my passport stamped for 30 days as my gc has been printed and is been sent to me. Initially i was told it was my risk if i left the country considering the incorrect first name spelling in the form. The proper immigration officer i talked to was outstanding. She stampted my password, adding a seal with a note as well. I double checked everything with her when i was there, i.ie my address as i recently changed addresses.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTravelling next week - Quick Question

I received an email saying the card has been ordered. My extension form has my first name spelt wrong. There is a u instead of an n in the middle of my name. Just incase i have an issue i have scheduled an infopass before work in the morning as we are travelling on Monday and i want to be able to get back into this country.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionTravelling next week - Quick Question

My case was approved on April but i haven't received my card. Fair enough. I am traveling to Ireland next week with my wife and baby. Will the letter that i received extending my residency for another year while my case is pending when i started the process in October be enough for immigration or am i better getting my passport stamped by my local office here in boston.

Removing Conditions on Residency General DiscussionApproved but no green card thread.
The gc will eventually come, it just takes time. In my case i was approved on the 10th of April. I received an email on the 12th of May saying that my card has been sent for processed. Then on May 14th i received another email saying my card is been sent out. So it looks like it takes an initial month after approval to get the ball rolling. Good luck everyone.

Congratulations! to those who got the physical card smile.gif. Those who haven't hang tight.

I'm still waiting since my approval letter dated March 30th 2009. I called the 1800 number again today and this time I asked if I could log a problem ticket. According to their system they have no record of my card being produced or mailed. The helpful operator gave me a reference number and said he would forward the ticket directly to my local office. I was never given this option before until I asked for it. I'd recommend trying this approach. With the reference number you at least know that something is being done and you can also quote it on future occasions. All USCIS representatives are different. They're usually very friendly but some are more helpful than others. If first you don't succeed then call back again and ask someone else. To get directly through hit 1, 2 and 3 on the options to go directly to a representative. Good luck! good.gif

I was approved around the 10th of april. I received an email 2 days ago to say that the card has been ordered. You should receive something similar soon. I was hoping to have my shiny new GC before our trip back to ireland next but that wasnt to be:(

I was transferred from VSC to CSV on the 10th of March. My wife just called. I received a letter from them saying that my 10 year GC has been aproved. This is fast. I was expecting it in 5-6 more months. I did my biometrics in the first week of december after i had to reschedule. How long does the card take to get?

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresI-134 document question
I gave everything from bank statments, wage slips, mortgage details as we bought a house in ireland 7 months ago. They just want to make sure he can support himself when in the states. Does he own any property? If so include any documents supporting this.

I gave Claudeth 3 years of my tax returns and the lady that did the pre-interview stuff made copies of them

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow long did your K1 visa take?
We started our process in the first week of october 05, i got my interview on january 11th and the visa the same day. We went through the vermont service centre. Would have been a month earlier only for i had a problem obtaining the police certificate. It varied from the different service centers. I had the interview in dublin, ireland where we both live.

Best of luck with the process.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProof of having met
* I had pictues,
* pre wedding course documentation as we had to do one as we are getting married in a catholic church.
* Any document that proves that ye are together ie insurance forms, mortgage forms, loan aggreements etc
* Copied of emails sent

Alltogether we have about 60+ pages of documents to prove i could support myself and that i had met kristina. Prob a bit excessive but we didnt want to take any chances.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresProof Of Relationship

I just read on here somewhere that in packet 3 you have to provide proof of your ongoing relationship. Is that true?! I'm just wondering because if so, that stuff takes me so long to get together and I'd rather start now. Can you just do the same types of things? Also, Patrick sent me roses on Valentines day. I still have the packaging slip, which also has the message from him on it, would that count as evidence?!

Thanks for putting up with my endless questions.

Your on the right track, if you have any emails from him, letters etc include them also.
Oh yeh and pictures of ye both if you have them.Make sure you include as much as possible and finally dont worry your fiance will get his K1 im sure.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresgot bad news

I just read this thread this morning and my heart goes out to you pet. Don't let the immigration process get to you and doubt your relationship...then they really have won.

One thing I would advise against is Galwayman's advice (sorry Galway) about contacting an Irish local politician. Don't do this - they could mess it up a lot more than you realise, as they really have no proper knowledge of this process, and have no real authority over it either. This process does not need someone meddling around in it who has no clue...leave the Irish politician idea out of it please!

I do hope this gets resolved sooner than what they have said to expect, but hang in there and take comfort that IT WILL eventually be resolved for you guys!! (F)

Sorry bad advice on my part.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Proceduresgot bad news

I just called my Congressman-his office said they could place another call today but he recommended I wait a few more weeks. As he said-if we are being scrutinized this much-he doesn't want to bring any unecessary attention on us.

I completely agree & I am going to ring him back in a month. He did tell me that it may very well take the full 6 months, so I shouldn't get my hopes up.

Oh well just wanted to give you an update.

Thanks again for everyone's kind words..........they do mean a lot to me (L)

Irishgirl im soo sorry to heart your story. I dont understand why they rejected the application. When i was having my interview there was an irish guy having his K1 interview. They asked him if he ever overstayed and he said no.In the end they informed him that he had actually overstayed by 7 days a few years ago. To the best of my knowledge he got the K1 visa stamp. The dublin embassy seem to be very wishy washy. That day another womans case was rejected as she didnt have the right documentation, no fault of her own as she wasnt sent the right forms in the first place. In your situation your bf only oversatyed by 2 days.

Get your boyfriend in ireland to contact his local politican or try and contact the office of the american ambassader to ireland James C. Kenny. Its worth a shot. The number for the american embassy in dublin is 01 668-8777. Leave it a few weeks to settle and then try again.

I still cant believe your application was upheld. My heart goes out to ye guys. If your bf wants any advice my email address is in my profile. I hate to say it but why not contact an immigration attourney. My own journey only took 3 months or more so its heartbraken to hear many of the stories on VJ.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresHow did you meet your fiance?

Keith and I met in Japan. We both came here to teach english on the JET programme. We met briefly in Tokyo (where I distinctly remember thinking--ooooo, cute Irish guy...) :luv: We didn`t hit it off until a year later in Kobe for a JET conference. We realized we only lived an hour away from each other and just started hanging out every weekend...which turned into every day. (L)

I met kristina in a pub in dublin. Not very romantic i know :P As she was living in ireland the first time i got to meet her parents was feb 14th our first valentines day when they came over to visit her. That was fun !!!!

Anyways only 12 days to go now before the big move to the states.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresJust Starting on K1

Hi Folks...I'm new here. Just joined today, and I have so many questions, and the embassy is not being to friendly, and can only direct me to Guangzhou Immigration...but that's more difficult to get questions answered when they are thousands of miles away.

Pretty much, I'm filing for a Fiancee Visa (K1)...I'm using this to get my fiancee Grace to the US in May, so that we can get married in Los Angeles. We plan to come back to live in China for the next few years still. But want the K1 visa so that we can get her to come U.S. (for the first time).

We were going to apply for the tourist visa, but they said that was out of the question if they knew we were planning to get married.

I'm pretty much lost out here...I'm supposed to file to Los Angeles, and just worried cause we're both out here in China...and no guidance. I'm so worried about all these forms, and they seem to be not so clear, or it might be me as well.

I have both the G325A and I129F filled out...and should I be sending a whole package of evidence now or later? What should I include when filing? I see they only ask for 2 photos of each of us within 3 months, and also my Naturalization photocopy. Am I missing anything? I don't have time to waste and can't miss anything in the processing...

I also see people's timeline about NOA1, and Touch...what is all this?

Looking for help...thanks beforehand...Tig.

Dont stress, help is at hand. Just click on the FAQ section of this site.It will have most of the answers for you.
I dont know how the chinese consolate works but i would file with the american embassy in china first. There is a china section in one of the forums below. http://www.visajourn...hp?showforum=94 Best of luck.

I got my k1 visa and my fiance lives with me here in ireland. I cant see why you cant.
