I think it may be a bit 'easier' for me because I was around when uscis was trying to handle the influx of petitions last year. Both centers were taking 6+ months and longer at times. Those poor folks. sad.gif Then the crazy disparity between the two centers processing. In Jan VSC was taking under a month for many while CSC was still at 6+. If there is one thing this process is... it's unfair.

I have no advice for you but to stay busy. If checking is making you crazy then make a goal not to do it as much. I'm not much for superstition tho. wink.gif I check a few times daily but it doesn't yet make me want to throw my pc out the window. wink.gif

When I am frustrated I daydream about that moment Russell is back in my arms for good and that just lifts me up. I think about all of the people that I knew last year and our Sara (estadia) who has been waiting over a year due to bogus security checks (if you ask me wink.gif ). I think about all of the years that we've already spent together and focus on the fact that it wont be much longer before we are on to the next steps and together for good!

It's hard... but becoming extra frustrated about it is not going to make it go any faster. It's going to take more from me emotionally and physically and I just can't have that. I started working out more... reaching out to my friends and support systems more...

There is no rhyme or reason that people were approved before you. Someone with our Noa1 was approved over a month ago and here we are... waiting. When you read about how our petitions are handled and understand how many they actually receive...it's no wonder there is not more order.

It will come and, as nich stated, once it's here it will be a whirlwind for many of us...do what you can to prepare for it now and spend as much time with your love as you can.

It could very well be you are stuck in security checks or perhaps your lawyer made a mistake you have yet to learn about??? Call and find out what's going on someone shouuld at least be able to tell you why it might be taking so long.

You need to call NVC... press 1 then 5 as K1's are not entered into the automated system. They will tell you when they receive your petition and when they send it out to the Consulate.

Under normal circumstances, the Consulates routinely extend the validity date of the petition when you are not interviewed before the expiry date but you will probably want to call and talk to the folks at the USEM in Manilla just to make them aware that there was a mistake made by the uscis and that your approved petition is to arrive soon and perhaps they can even expedite your interview date. You will need to request that as well.

It should not be a problem. So sorry you got held up. This seems to be almost routine at CSC... sad really.

You need to call NVC 603-334-0700, 1, 5 and talk to a person. K1's are not entered into the automated system. That person will need your EAC number and will give you your new case number. They will most likely tell you that they received it within days of your approval and that it's at the Embassy now.

There were some this past January in about 24 days. Ahhhh those were the days! Don't expect that to happen again anytime soon tho.

Right now the timelines are at about 4-5 months from Noa1 to Noa2 depending on the Center and, as stated above, the remainder of the process depends on the Consulate.

Just so everyone is clear. The processing dates listed on the uscis website are there for reference only. They determine when you can call and complain, therefore they are really not a true representation of processing times.

They claim cases are processed in the order they are received but we know that is not always the case. There are many security checks at each stage of this process that can hold you up for any length of time and delay your approval and/or visa. Every case is different and the timelines for approvals change all the time.

Right now VSC seems to be at about 4+ months from NOA1 to NOA2 without rfe or security hold ups so I would hope for that timeline.

There used to be an optioin for those with RFE but I dont think that's there anymore. Im not sure the people you get to talk to will be able to tell you much but they should be able to at least put you in the right direction to resolve this.

Seems more than 2 weeks is a little long but, like everything else with the USCIS, who knows.

You can contact the USEM or call DOS to see if/when your interview is scheduled. DOS - (202) 663-1225 Press 1, then Press 0. The robot that answers the call talks forever, so just press 0 to bypass him. Same for the second robot that comes on...skip him with a 0 and the next answer is a live person.

The entire packet will be sent to the USEM.

The beneficiary has many forms to fill out. They are all listed and downloadable on London's website I believe, there are also example forms here on VJ. Check with Nich-Nick as her fiance has already gone through London and she can email you P3 to have ready for when London is ready for you. wink.gif

I think London has a little bit of a wait so I have no idea how fast you can get your interview. Best to check with others who have recently ventured through there. wink.gif
