As long as you have your passport and your AP and the approval was when you were out of the country the officer at POE should not have a problem as you will show up as approved on their system... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	POE that gives Temp EAD stamp	The stamp they give at JFK is only valid for 90 days... as you have to wait about 2 weeks to apply for SSN and that takes about 5 - 10 days to come it does not leave long to work before the 90 days runs out... you will have to stop working when the 90 days are up and wait until you have your EAD that you apply for at the same time as AOS.. most people are having to wait 90 days+ from receipt of NOA to get this.. If it is a U.S. consulate in Paris, France, they should be able to read the words Date of Birth in freaking French!!!!!!!!!! This is annoying and frustrating ! Well the forms themselves are mostly in french. Telling me to "get a grip" was a bit out of line, this is a place to ask questions and I believe it is a valid one. You were the one complaining that everything had to be translated in to english and that they should be able to read French.... Supr of the moment means just that... up to that point in time you had never thought about getting married.... never asked each other about marriage... not posted on a marriage based forum about how it would work..... Sounds very much like you should spend your time looking into K1 or K3 visas.... I came here and yes I got married on the spur of the moment... my husband was just a friend of my family nothing more... we had know eachother for many years but never in any other way but friends... I came to recover from major surgery staying with his parents... we then fell in love... Doing AOS from within the states on a VWP/Tourist visa is not what I would recommend to anyone.... I could not leave the country until I had a greencard (even in an emergancy) or I would be refused re-entry... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	marriage on a tourist visa	You can not enter on a tourist visa with the intention of doing AOS.... nothing to stop you getting married and returning to UK then file for K3 visa..... Only way you can do AOS from a tourist visa is if you entered the US and then on the spur of the moment got married... but as you are already planning your wedding that would not be the case.... and of course if you did get married on the spur of the moment you would have to have evidence that you did not intend to remain in US when you entered.... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	we cancelled	Sorry to hear you canceled your K1... as far as him visiting the States... there is no guarentee of his entry it is up to the officer at POE... all he can do is make sure he has as much evidence to show ties to France and hope that they allow him entry.... One thing you may want to consider is taking a flight via Dublin... as Dublin has its own POE and if he was denied it would only be a short flight back to France.... The fact that you have canceled your K1 will have no effect if you later re-file and then do AOS.... you may be asked why you cancelled but it will not causse you problems..... They may well question why she is returning so soon and if she cant show strong ties to the UK... is lease on a apartment, letter from employer stating she has to return by a set date... she may well get denied entry... The VWP was intended to be used as a way to get round having a visa... it was intended for tourists to allow them easy entry for short vacations.... She should leave before that date or she will accrue overstay time as she did not complete the K1 by getting married within 90 days of arrival...
