I usually come into my office quite early (about 7:30 a.m.) when I went on the site and rubbed my eyes to see the approval notice I cried and screamed (so it was good nobody was around!) I cannot believe the support we have all given and will continue to give each other. This is the first "chat" room I've ever been involved with, and I am so grateful to know that we are not alone on this UNBELIEVEABLE journey, the ALWAYS PATIENT, NEWLY INVIGORATED, Alane & Ramzis kicking.gif kicking.gif (I'm in my dancing shoes!!)

I called the embassy in Zagreb, Croatia today to see if they received petition from NVC and they did yesterday!!! They sent out both packages with interview date today so I should have them tomorrow. Interview date is November 26, 10am!!! kicking.gif kicking.gif kicking.gif My honey's birthday!!! They also told me to get my medical done asap, emailed me right away the info what doctors I can contact. So I arranged an appointment for tomorrow. It's so nice to be able to get fast and accurate info for a change!

So our case has been smokin since it got to the Embassy in Seoul. It almost took a month to get everything together for Packet 3, but once we did and requested the interview they replied in two days - to tell us the interview date would be in another 6! We're already talking about possibly my fiancee getting here in time for Thanksgiving with the fam smile.gif
It's a little surreal having our reunion go from being this far-off date sometime in the future to roughly two weeks. I can't say how the other embassies perform, but don't be surprised if things start really taking a turn for the better once the NVC forwards your case. Best of luck everyone.

You're not alone, we filed on the same day, same service center, still waiting for NOA2 until now. This is taking us way too long. I called USCIS on October 25, the service rep on the phone told me that I still have to wait for 60 days. Well, I hope we can get our approvals soon. You're under a ridiculous amount of stress, and you need to take it easy elsewhere in your life if you can. You can leave the laundry and the dishes till tomorrow, and sit there and cry and cry for a night, if that's what you need. Call your mom or a close friend and get all those worries and concerns out to them. Get them out of you, at least for a while. They can't help make your file go by faster, but they can listen and be there when you have too much worry inside you.

We're all going to do this! We are! In the meantime, take care of yourselves.

But screwing up my life, seriously screwing it up, waiting for a crate to fill up, for MONTHS? No, I'm sorry. I draw the line there. I'm not stupid enough to think that anyone at USCIS really cares about the people in these files, but that's a little ridiculous. How much more "you're just a number" can you get?

Man I wish I was going to be in Cali any time soon. I'd march right up there and demand all of our files and take them to NVC myself, for everyone. No one deserves this. Hmm...think my boss would let me have paid time to do it? It is causing me emotional distress... wink.gif

Alane and Ramzis, hang in there, I know we've all been waiting long...............it seems like CSC hasn't approved anybody this week, it makes me feel a little relieved that they haven't because somtimes when I see a lot of approvals I feel ignored by them........so maybe that brings a little comfort....


I know every approval situation is unique. Some people get touches, others don't, some get emails, others don't, some just get the hard copy--------all of this has me right to the edge. I am truly pleasured for everyone's success but it stings to see people having June and late June approvals when our are still sitting-----BUT afterall, I'm the patient one, Ugh! I don't think there have been too many due to CSC not sending cases to NVC yet. They seem to behind in that department too sad.gif


I was just about to say the same thing. I have not heard of a May filers packet making it to NVC as of todays date. Would be interested in finding out if anyones has and how long it took.

Just looked at VJ's K1 Visa Timelines and there are a lot of people who have had interviews or are having interviews between September and November. The slowdown for most of us with VSC started around mid-May, so most early May filers are way ahead of us and scheduled for interviews.



The patient one is going down fast----I called----I got a semi-OK person. She informed me that we are allowed to call only 1 time per month and that I better not call anymore. Actually, the more I think about it, she wasn't nice at all!!! I called last Thurs. and was told by someone VERY nice that my case had been assigned to an officer. Today she told me they are processing applications received on June 8. I know that is not entirely true because of the approvals we have been seeing. No unfortunately I am still waiting. Called CSC on 10/17. They told me my case had been signed out to the supervisor on 10/15. I called a second time the same day and they told me the same thing. According to the guys I spoke with, the supervisor is responsible for assigning the cases to their team members. I am really hoping to get approved this week good.gif You can see I am at day 147 since filing. Maybe you can throw some of your mojo my way

It's coming up on 30 days since my NOA2 and the NVC has STILL not received my case. Has anyone else here with NOA2's experienced such a long delay with the NVC? This is not boding well for wanting my fiance to be here by Christmas. crying.gif

Call CSC ASAP the same thing happen with our case, they sent it out the same day we called, good luck. Make sure you talk to someone at California and not customer service.



I read your post and just called, since it's been 4 weeks since our approval too and no NVC receipt yet. The lady said the usual "90 day" script. However, I called the 1-800 number I've seen posted various places on VJ b/c I didn't know of a number directly to California. When I asked the lady if she was at the CSC or just a general call center, she said she couldn't disclose her location and that there was no number to contact CSC directly. In other words---"Yes, we have up to 6 months to process your case. Yes, we have up to 3 months to mail it out after that. Yes, your papers can sit here in Cali for 9 months before you should be alarmed" devil.gif ohmy.gif sad.gif

I expect that the NVC will get our papers soon, along with everyone else's who are waiting.....it's just such a helpless feeling and after going through waiting forever to get the coveted NOA 2, it's hard to hear the heartless answers.
