K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	We are May filers	I have learned so much from VJ. I read it everyday. I received electronic confirmation of nebraska receiving our packet. I want to hear from anyone and everyone who has filed at the Nebraska Svc. Center. I'd like to know how many days it's been taking from receipt of packet to getting in the system. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Electronic NOA1?	Nope. Some are able to get their case number from the back of the cancelled check. I don't get checks returned to me, however, so I had to wait for the hard copy to arrive via snail-mail. Once you have the WAC number from the NOA1, you can set up your online portfolio at www.uscis.gov. Of course, then you should promptly forget you set it up for about 80 days, and wait to start obsessively checking it until sometime after that. If you check the timelines, the CSC and the NSC are taking an average of 30 days to issue and send NOA1 in the meantime people who filed at VSC get theirs in 10 days most of the times! ramzis51, VJ creates those timelines with the information each one of us puts in our own timelines, that's why it's very important that we keep our timelines updated. I'm not sure if the link I sent you will update automatically, but you can try to do your own search, to get updated info. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Nebraska Svc. Center Filers	I want to start a thread of Nebraska Service Center filers (mailed my NOA1 May 24, received May 25). I'd like to see and compare the times of touches NOA's, etc. I'm looking at my checking acct. everyday waiting to see a cashed check! The Nebraska Service Center forwards all I-129F K1 petitions to the California Service Center (CSC) for processing. Our petition was submitted to Nebraska on May 2, received by Nebraska on May 5 and then forwarded to California. However, no real contact since then. Our fee check was cashed by the CSC on May 29 (27 days after the petition was originally mailed). We are still waiting to recieve the actual NOA1 from CSC. We hope to receive it in the next few days so that we can confirm our case receipt number which will enable us to track the processing of our petition with USCIS online. The endorsement section of our fee check was actually stamped with our case receipt number (a 13 character number begining with 3 letters - WAC in our case - and 10 numbers). Unfortunately, the endorsement stamp was partially illegible so we still do not know our full case receipt number..... only part of it. We wish you much better luck. Thanks guys---you are right----I'm just trying to compare times----I know we are all anxious. My fiance was with me for 6 weeks and just returned to Russia on May 20. It has been awful. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I am trying to decipher my case number	this is a total guess but maybe remove the letters...and you will get WAC-0370010103...i mean that way it starts with the 3 letters of the service center (WAC=California service center)...and it should end in 10 numbers...hope that works but i would call USCIS 1800-375-5283 to make sure...or wait for the NOA1 in the mail Good luck and take care! Received electronic confirmation of receipt on 5/25 and TODAY my check has been cashed. Alas, I cannot read the case number on the back. USCIS site says it begins with either EAC, WAC, LIN, SRC and 10 numbers. I see the receipt stamp says it's from the California service center. No check has been cashed yet. I am trying to be patient as well, but I sure would like to see that cleared check with the case number on the back. Even if you have an attorney, that person is not allowed at the interview either. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	May Filers?	Hey! Anyone a May filer for their K-1 visa? We sent our I-129F to VSC on May 14th and got out first NOA May 21st (I thought that was pretty good at the time). When we filed, the VSC processing time was at 44 days but now the VSC is at 63 days.... does this mean I need to aim for 63 days now or am I still good with 44 days (which is any day now) since that was my original processing time in May? You definitely learn to have a lot of patience with this visa process. =) There is a May filer thread on this forum where you can read about other May filers----63 days sounds like a dream compared to what some people are waiting. POST HERE...	at the very least they should at least let our fiance's come to visit us in the states while the status is pending- that would make the process much less stressful. I checked again at 09.30 Central US Time and we had our approval email from CRIS. Thanks to all of you for the support, help, and offering the insight into this broken system that we deal with. It says we need to send another letter of intent to marry only dated closer in to the interview. Do we address that to the embassy? Yes we do. I am actually going to draft one for them that is a "mutual" letter with both of our signature blocks just my signature will show a date which is a week earlier than my fiancee's.
