Alane and Ramzis, Thats exactly what I used, the RFE trick and was extremely polite with the lady that picked up the phone. Asked her how she was doing etc. I told her that my friend was a lawyer and advised me that if my cased hadn't been looked at in this amount of time I had an RFE, and I was curious what that was so I could prepare the documents. And any help would be great! and after a few minutes and a few holds she told me that they were workin on cases for the 24th of May! BUT dont let this get your hopes up because someone else on VJ was told they were working on cases submitted on a different date so i think this can still vary from 3 to 5 days or so! good luck with the RFE trick and please post what info (if any) you may get!!!!!! thanks! Well.....I just called..... the guy was nice---but not too smart----he read the March date as the current processing times, so I know I did not get a good rep. US Embassy and Consulate Discussion	Police certificate of all places beneficiary has lived since age 16	I was reading some fiance k-1 guidelines at http://travel.state....nts/types/types. Several of the documents that are sent to the beneficiary from the embassy (i.e., the DS-230) has a section which asks for a police certificate and list of all places the beneficiary has lived since age 16. We did no realize until we had already went into the embassy, lucky enough they allowed me to leave and pay...Anyway, after throught the haggle, she is called to the window...so we both go, the lady nicely ask me to have a seat and if she needs anything that she will ask for me. Wow, so anyway my SO is asked a ton of questions about how she met me, my kids, my wife, the amount of money I pay in child support...the consulate was pretty thorough with my life, however my SO answered everyone right away and she finished up. I got called to the window, where I was asked questions about her...know this is the part of the interview that I had not read...anyway, I passed this and we are expecting the Visa by next Friday so that we can get on a plane and come back to the US... It was a pretty unusual experience for me, I think they wanted to be sure due to our large age difference, as they kept pointing that out to me and her. But thank God we passed. Petitioner can call directly the Department of State (202)663-1225 Press 1, press 0, press 0 to inquire if your petition is already in Manila. Be ready with the case number. To get the interview date ahead, call the DOS also. I have been over our documents a hundred times and feel very certain they are complete, but I was still very nervous when I actually mailed them. I want to hear from anyone and everyone who has filed at the Nebraska Svc. Center. I'd like to know how many days it's been taking from receipt of packet to getting in the system.
