Hi All

Can you please post the time it took for your DS-3032 to be accepted and IV Bill to be Invoiced ?

I Have emailed My DS-3032 Choice of agent for to nvcinquiry at state.gov on Apr 27th(9 Days ago) unsure.gif and once again 2 days ago on May 4th.
Both the times i got the Automated Response.

When i call NVC to find whats going on, they keep saying some one WILL get to it and process it.

Should i have sent it by Post instead of Email ? headbonk.gif

Thank you

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresFilled an I-130 Form
Hey Guys,

I have a few questions that I have been trying to research but not much luck.

First I was told by numerous friends and family that when I file the I-130 - include everything like adjustment of status, I-864, additional money for the other forms fee's etc. Well, I didnt submit the I-864 or the AOS yet, and was wondering what to do?

I have my paycheck stubs printed out, I obtained medical, dental, and vision insurance for my wife and I for this year and also next year(Keep in mind she is still in Pakistan), My life insurance is over 300k, and now I have copies of all the prepaid money I pay for her prepaid phone, and I use calling cards to call her. (I don't save the calling cards. And also send her money through western union constantly.

I have a lawyer but I don't feel he is answering all of the questions I have and need to be answered, but people have told me send them everything at one time so the processing goes smoother and faster.

So I have all the Additional forms I need and ready to be sent out, printed out prepaid phone money confirmations, emails of the other way we communicate, medical coverages, etc.. Also found out that This dude from California (Officer DAO) is the person who assigned my case and also have his fax number. What should I do? And how should I proceed? They gave us a 5 month Processing period (January 2012) is the 5th Month. What would I expect? What should I do? What should I submit to process this smoother, easier and faster?

What other forms can I submit and to where and whom? I don't want to cut in front of the line from anyone (we all miss our significant others) but I need to get her home as quick as possible. Money is no issue but I need proper guidance and direction.

And one last very important thing I want to mention is that, is there any way I can bring her home (USA) while we wait for her I-130 being approved (still in pending status)? There must be some way to bring her home while this process is taking place??? Can I also go through another country say like Canada?

Thanks everyone

Akbar

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresBirth Certificatefrom pakistan

when we sent our package 3.5/DS160 we didn't have Police certificate ready so we just sent rest of the documents without police cert since it is "optional". my fiance just took it with her to the interview but CO didn't ask for it. They say it is optional but you never know, they might ask for it.

ok and what about Police Certificate ?  does it need from Pakistan ?

Some people saying is not required and some saying its required .

If required then what is the procedure to get it ?

Do you have any information about that @@@

jugnooindark

You have to get it. Very simple procedure. You will get form and checklist from city police station and then submit it to District Police Officer. It is valid for only 3 months and you have to appeare before the concerned officer personaly to get it,if you are at abroad your blood relation can appear to get it for you.

Does Birth Certificate required both parents name mention in the form ????

I have a certificate from Pakistan just with father name and both in English and Urdu ?

Is it ok ?

Now a days in Pakistan computerized birth, death and marriage certificates have been issuing. These are registered by NADRA but been issued by union councils. These computerized birth certificates are with mother and father,s name and CNIC numbers. and are in English and Urdu language

Tikbj is a female. She used to be a very active long-time member of another immigration forum (I2US.net). Her story as she posted on here is true to her. I don't think the individual "unique love" is the same person.

Why does it only matter if it's a boy? Female circumcision is also popular in some parts of Africa and it has just as little to recommend it. It's a barbaric, unnecessary procedure for either gender.

I won't even get started on female genital cutting/circumcision.

It's true that in the US there is not so much to recommend male circumcision; however in some countries with high prevalence of HIV there is a marked decrease in infection rate among circumcised men and their partners. Just a thought.

Randomized controlled trials. After the failure of observational studies to show a clear protective effect, circumcision advocates obtained funding from the United States National Institutes of Health to conduct randomized controlled trials (RCTs) in Africa. Three RCTs to study the value of male circumcision in reducing HIV infection have been conducted in Africa since the publication of the Cochrane Review. The studies were intended to find out if circumcision is an effective intervention to prevent female-to-male HIV infection. A RCT under the supervision of Bertran Auvert, French circumcision proponent, was carried out in Orange Farm, South Africa;11 a RCT was carried out in Kenya under the supervision of North American circumcision proponent Robert C. Bailey and Stephen Moses;12 and a RCT was carried out in Uganda under the supervision of North American circumcision proponent Ronald H. Gray.13 Dr. Auvert has been a circumcision proponent since at least 2003.14 Professor Moses has been an advocate of circumcision at least since 1994.9 Professor Bailey has been a circumcision advocate since at least 1998.15

All three studies found that non-circumcised males contract HIV infection more quickly than circumcised males.11-13 This may be because the circumcised males required a period of abstinence after their circumcision. All three studies were terminated early, before the incidence of infection in circumcised males caught up with the incidence of infection in the non-circumcised males. If the studies had continued for their scheduled time, it is probable that there would have been little difference between the circumcised group and the non-circumcised group. Mills & Siegfried point out that early termination of such studies cause the benefits to be exaggerated.16 Dowsett & Couch (2007), even after publication of the RCTs, found insufficient evidence exists to support a program of circumcision to prevent HIV infection.

some one please fill us in on what the heck is going on. we would like to know too.

Here's the soap:

A Moroccan man originally posted as his fiancee, using his real name and real pic (presumably with his current fiancee) and other real details. He/she said he had known his current fiancee as a friend since sometime last year and became serious with her in April. He said that he was originally engaged to another USC who petitioned him and that he was scheduled for an interview in January of this year, which was canceled at the last minute. He wanted to know how likely he was to get the visa through the second fiancee, considering she was now pregnant. All this he posted as the female USC fiancee, but his grammar raised suspicions about his identity.

Even though he immediately changed his profile pic to that of another couple and changed the name on his account from his real first name to another one, some of us know his ex and recognized his original picture and name. We know his ex was with him again in March/April of this year, the same time he says he finally got "serious" with his new fiancee. There are other details that his ex has shared in confidence with some people, which is why the story is confusing, but long and short of it is some of us believe that this man's intentions are not honorable, and there are compelling reasons for this. Some of us are not convinced the second financee knows the whole story, though he says she does.

He finally did "come clean" and admit that he was not the female USC fiancee but the male Moroccan. He said the originally fiancee essentially pursued him and talked him into entering the K-1 process with her. He said he has put the past behind him and pleaded for visa information, privacy, and respect. Some of us do not buy it and think he's just after the visa. There are also more serious allegations that have been shared in confidence. The mea culpas came only after he got busted and too many people recognized him, and that's a little too late.

My take on it anyway.

AMEN

My husband had to quit his job a few months ago because of this process. His job is 9 hrs away from home so we figured that would be too hard for him to keep in case of run arounds (which we got). I've never sent him money, he's never asked. He doesn't ask if I have enough money to get by so why should I worry about him getting by? Maybe that sounds selfish but that's how I feel. He's a grown man who is very capable. If he can't find a job closer to home that's not my problem. He does find the occasional odd job here and there. It's not much but at least it's enough for cigarettes or whatever. It's not my responsibility to support a grown, healthy, capable man.

Hello VJ Family,
The last time I posted a topic here, my fiancee was denied December 30 got a second interview January 14 and after the interview he was given a 221g to provide documentation on when I last visited Nigeria (Because we were addressing each other as husband and wife on emails, the CO believes that we secretly got married, so she insisted the he make photocopies of all the pages on all of my passports issued to me. I last visited Nigeria 1985 when i was 2 years old.)My fiancee was given an appointment date of February 22. So the question is providing that he presents the additional ddocuments requested will he be issued the visa or is there a chance that they may deny him? Im so scared. Please Help.

Happy New Year all,
My fiancee visa was denied December 30, 2009 at the Lagos Consulate in Nigeria. On the rejection letter it stated that it was denied because of immigration purposes. I contacted my senator in Washington DC, and luckily for us my fianee was invited for a second interview January 14, 2010 at 1pm. I sent him everything. I dont know what else they want from us. Very frustrating. Besides the lease to our apartment that i am sending with both our names on it, what can I use to prove a bonafide relationship.Help!!!!!!!!!!!1

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresI-864 Question
Hello
I have filed a I-130 for my wife and a second one for my step-son. Both cases are now at NVC and I am filling out the I-864. My question's are:

1) do I file a I-864 for each as I have filed a I-130 for each, when I paid the AOS fee for my wife it took care of the fee for my step-son also, both show paid, and though I was able to print the cover sheet for my wife there was never one available for step-son, I called NVC and they just kept saying to wait and it will show up, they also told me I have to file two seperate I-864's and if cover letter never became available to just write a cover letter with his case number on it and put case number on all of the documents.

2) In part 3 question 9 it states " I am sponsoring the following family members...... Do not include any relatives listed on a seperate visa petition". So should I just list wife on her I-864 and not list step-son and answer 1 to question 10 and do the same on step-sons I-864.

part of what makes this confusing is that when I get to part 5 question 21, on my wifes it would be:

a-1
b-1
c-0
d-1 --- I have a son that I have to list
e-0
f-0
g-0

with h = 3

while on my step-sons it would look like this

a-1
b-1
c-1
d-1
e-0
f-0
g-0

with h = 4

this doesnt make sense, I would think that both I-864's need to have same number for household size. any help would be greatly appreaciated.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCSC to TSC to NVC: the Saga continues

Sweet!!! The "case complete" phone calling campaign begins tonight

for us it went like this

sif on web page
2 days later case closed phone message
3 days later email with interview date
1 week later (aprox) phone message changes to case mailed to consulate
start tracking on dhl using these directions from this wiki --

http://www.visajourn...The_NVC_Process

How to track your valuable originals?

Listen to NVC's AVR message, it will clearly say “Your case is completed and forwarded to the embassy or consulate in XXX on MM/DD/YYYY…” Once you hear this message, immediately go to DHL Tracking by Reference and track your shipment.

For example, if NVC's AVR says your shipment date is 06/05/2008, NVC actually called DHL one day before this date to pick up the shipment. So your reference date is 06/04/2008 ( though mine was same date as AVR message ). Then enter EXP 04 JUN 2008A as your reference in the above DHL website. Then scroll down to your consulate link.

To be sure you can try a date range between 06/03/2008 to 06/06/2008 in the date range

once its delivered give them a few days then you can contact the consulate about case....we are asking for faster interview date as sydney isnt that busy..

Hello everyone, have been reading posts but just couldnt bring myself to participate while I was still in uscis hell, but good news is both my cases are now at NVC my wifes and stepsons. I now have case and invoice numbers for both. I was able to log in and pay the $88 fee for my wife but could not chose the IV fee to pay for her, while my step son i get a login failure for his case. Does this mean that I just have to wait a few more days or should I call about my step sons case. I got his numbers by calling and talking to a rep his numbers were generated on the 12th.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresCalifornia to Texas & Texas to California - Part 2

Ok guys...latest update on our situation.....Gary got a call from the consulate today. They want him to come in and bring his notorized Divorce certificate ib June 22nd at 9a. They did not say this was another interview, they seem to just want this document so they can process to conclusion. They said his medical was just entered today and all is perfect on it. Any ideas on why he can't just send this document in instead of coming in person? At his initial interview they kept his passport and were just waiting for a clear medical. Do you think he just needs to sign some paperwork to finalize the process? I"m an absolute nervous wreck again. They AGAIN said they realize the urgency of our case and we are on expedite. I feel everything wil be OK but after Texas California I am so gun shy.....Peace and love to all.....Posted Image

this has to be the end for you guys......maybe ( fingers crossed for you ) they will look at it and hand him his passport and visa :D

Im sending an email to all the candidats for president telling how messed up this process is, gonna tell our story from start to finish...election year is the time when all the right ears are open.... :bonk:
