Estoy muy preocupada, porque en todas partes del foro dijeron que el cheque de U$450 que se encia al VSC se debia llenar con el nombre completo de la USCIS pero a mi novio un amigo Congresista le dijo que lo diligenciara como USCIS y los papeles se enviaron el 02/02/2008 y esta es la hora que no han cobrado el cheque. ¿Sera que puedo llamar alla o como puedo hacer?.

Hola Carolina, pues yo creo que si deberia pegarle una llamadita alla la USCIS porque en el formulario claramente esta que se debe hacer el cheque dirigido a U.S.Department of Homeland Security, no en siglas.

Cesar! Felicidades! ya casi mijo, otro poquito y ya estan juntos.

Contestando tu pregunta, la DS230 que enviara tu novia si hay que firmarla y la OF-169 que son las que se enviaran por correo o por fax o por ambas formas. Las que hay que llenar pero no firmar son las DS-156 y DS-156k.

despues al pasar a la aduana no se preocupen yo llegue a miami me dejaron alla casi 4 horas pero no por ningun inconveniente solo estuve demalas y me toco de ultima entonces fue un rato largo, pero despues que miraron los papeles no se tardo mas de 10 minutos, asi que no se preocupen!
eso si tanto en el chequeo del pasaporte como en la aduna me advirtieron que me casara rapido por que hay muchas personas con este proceso y se esta tardando mucho y recuerden solo tenemos 3 meses, yo me voy a casar cuanto antes,
gracias nidya por la informacion de el ajuste de estado eso me preocupa,
bueno mi familia me esta esperando para salir hay tantas cosas nuevas por hacer jajajajja

Si Diana, tanto el co-sponsor como el peticionario (novia o novio) deben mandar una I-134 tambien porque ella o el debe ser el sponsor principal del novio(a) migrante. Se llena otra I-134 por el co-sponsor e igualmente tambien debe notariarla y proveer toda la informacion de sus taxes y demas documentos.

Antes de 2005 solo se requeria que los patrocinadores o sponsor en peticion de visa K1, tuvieran un minimo de limite de pobreza de 100%. Ahora tanto la I-864 como la I-134 las estan revisando en igualdad de condiciones.

PUes mija traigase todo eso para aca, y por lo del pasado judicial no se preocupe, ellos se quedan con eso. Eso si, el registro civil traducido si puede para lo del ajuste. Ahhhhh y pastillas anticonceptivas todas las que pueda mija porque eso si que se necesitan aqui... solo se pueden comprar aqui con prescripcion medica. Asi que se lo recomiendo. Y de pronto pastillas o medicina que usted sepa que va a necesitar.

Y pues si, lamento decirte pero es totalmente necesario un co-sponsor, los anios anteriores estaban tambien bajo el limite de pobreza? el ultimo anio es el que mas miran asi que como dice Diana es mejor ir buscando a alguien quien tiene que llenar a parte de ella, tambien la I-134 y enviar lo mismos taxes y carta de empleo y todo lo demas que el sponsor va a enviar, en este caso tu senora.

Aayy estos hombres... blink.gif miraste abajo la frase que coloque en negrita "ESTE FORMULARIO PUEDE IR AL ENVIAR LA I-129F (QUE ES LO MAS RECOMENDABLE) O QUE EL FIANCE O EL PETICIONARIO LO LLEVE EL DIA DE LA ENTREVISTA EN BOGOTA"?

Se refiere a la I-134 el Affidavit of Support, si no la enviaste tranquilo, lo mas recomendable es enviarla junto con la peticion, pero no hay problema, igual te la piden el dia de la entrevista a tu fiance.

Buenos dias. Si, me refiero al los documentos del paquete 3 que ella a de presentar por fax y por servientrega a la Embajada. Estoy un poco confundido sobre esto. Ella puede llenar y enviar la version en Español? porque no sabe muy bien el Ingles, aunque supongo que puede contestar primero la version en Español y luego transferir las respuestas al documento en Ingles.

Contestando su pregunta, el caso fue enviado por NVC a Bogoata el 22 de Enero del 2008. Gracias por la colaboracion.

Ella los puede llenar en espanol, no hay problema. Tratar de no dejar espacios en blanco, contestarlos todos y si no hay respuesta en algunas preguntas puede colocar "ninguna" o "ninguno" segun sea la pregunta.

COMO EMPEZAR A APLICAR PARA LA VISA K1

Debes presentar la Petición de Extranjería Fiancé (e), el Formulario I-129F, con el Departamento de Seguridad Nacional de EE.UU. Ciudadanía y Servicios de Inmigración (USCIS). Esta peticion la puedes bajar por internet o pedirla directamente la oficina que sirve en la zona donde vives. No puedes presentar esta petición en una embajada, consulado u oficina de inmigración EE.UU. en el extranjero.

Los siguientes son los documentos que tu novia(o) (beneficiario) debe proveer:

1. Llenar la forma G-325A en espanol o en ingles. Para una guia mas precisa aqui.
2. Una carta de intento de matrimonio de el o ella, expresando su interes genuino de contraer matrimonio contigo. Una guia para la carta aqui abres el documento que dice "Fiancé Letter of Intent" (en ingles).
3. Copia del certificado de divorcio o viudez, que indique la terminacion legal de su anterior matrimonio.
4. Dos fotos tipo visa americana 5x5, las toman en fotojapon.

Lo que tu como novio(a) (peticionario) debe proveer:

1) I-129F – Petición para prometido extranjero. Es importante leer cuidadosamente las instrucciones, así como no dejar espacios en blanco y en su lugar escribir “N / A” o “NONE”. *No escriban “N /A” en donde la respuesta sea NONE. Las formas pueden ir llenadas a mano con tinta negra o en computador. Bajar el formulario mas reciente aqui. Si usted necesita mas espacio dentro de alguna pregunta, como por ejemplo “how we met?”, entonces necesitara una hoja externa que diga en su encabezado lo siguiente:

2) G-325 A: Información Biografica. Una para el peticionario (ciudadano americano) y otra para el beneficiario (extranjero). Esta forma contiene 4 hojas con igual informacion, lo unico que varia es el pie de pagina, que es para archivos diferentes, pero hay que llenar todas las cuatro.

3) I-134 Affidavit of support: Demuestra que el peticionario o un patrocinador se encargara económicamente del extranjero y no sera carga publica hasta que reciba el permiso de trabajo. Puede existir un co-sponsor si el peticionario no tuviera suficiente ingreso y estuviese debajo de los limites de pobreza que marca la ley. El formulario I-134 tiene que ser notariado y original. Si existe co-sponsor para la peticion, este debe llenar el formulario tambien, igual que notariarlo, ademas de proveer la informacion requerida que se aplica tambien al peticionario:

A. DECLARACIONES DE RENTA EN LOS ESTADOS UNIDOS (Form 1040) y CERTIFICADO DE SALARIO E IMPUESTOS (Form W-2), fotocopias del último año.
B. SALARIOS DEVENGADOS. (Earning Statements, pay slips). Comprobantes originales de la empresa, mostrando el salario devengado en su empleo durante el último año.

4) La Evidencia: Bueno en este punto hay que tener en cuenta que la evidencia es una de las cosas mas importantes antes de la entrevista. Aqui debes proveer todo lo que puedas de la relacion como: pases de abordar, entradas y salidas en el pasaporte o como las provea cada país, recibos de estadías en hotel, recibos de retiro de dinero en los países del beneficiario, Fotografias indicando fecha y lugar en el reverso (pueden mandar desde 3 fotos hasta las que consideren necesarias), sellos del pasaporte mostrando fechas, copia de las facturas de telefono /celular mostrando sus llamadas, copia de tarjetas prepagadas de llamada, copia de emails, cartas o correspondencia entre ustedes, conversaciones de chat.

5) Copia del certificado de nacimiento del peticionario. Si no lo tiene por alguna razon, puede proveer pasaporte expedido con el período de validez de al menos cinco años. Usted debe presentar copias de todas las páginas del pasaporte.

6) Copia del certificado de divorcio o viudez, que indique la terminacion legal de su anterior matrimonio.

7) Una carta de intento de matrimonio del peticionario, expresando su interes genuino de contraer matrimonio contigo. Una guia para la carta aqui (en ingles).

8) Dos fotos tipo passaporte. Te las toman en Wallgreens.


INFORMACION SOBRE EL COSTO DE LA APLICACION

La aplicacion actual de la peticion es de $455.00. Verifique que su pago sea de la siguiente manera:

1. El cheque o money order debe ser de un banco dentro de los Estados Unidos y se paga en dolares.
2. El cheque o money order se debe hacer a nombre de: U.S.Department of Homeland Security (no se debe utilizar abreviaturas como "USDHS" o "DHS"), a menos que:
a. Si usted reside en Guam, debe ir anombre de Treasurer, Guam.
b. Si usted reside en las islas virgenes, debe ir a nombre de Commissioner of Finance of the Virgin Islands.
c. Si usted reside fuera de Guam y de las Islas Virgenes, pongase en contacto con el consulado de EE.UU. más cercano para obtener instrucciones sobre la forma de pago.
3. Los cheques emitidos para pagos, su transaccion se efectua en 24 horas y se vera reflejado en su extracto bancario.

Pues ya mi novia gestiono la reseña judicial y movimiento migratorio la semana pasada en Bogota y tiene los documentos en mano. Pronto enviamos el paquete 3 por fax y servientrega. Solo estoy en espera de una contesta del abogado que nos lleva el caso porque me parece que en una parte del folmulario preguntan si alguien lo ayudo a llenar el documento y quiero saber si se requiere la firma del abogado en ese espacio.

Gracias por la informacion y el telefono!! Me evita tener que pagar aprox 17 dolares de la llamda a la embajada en Bogota.

Hola Jimmy buen dia. Bueno te dire que si estan con abogado y el lleno los documentos pues debe ir la firma y los datos de quien los lleno. pero... a que formularios te refieres? A los que ella presentara para enviar por fax? si son esos logicamente que no, porque alli no hubo mano del abogado. Solo ella los lleno y ese espacio se deja en blanco.

Otra cosita, ya tienes la fecha en que el NVC envio los documentos a Bogota? Si es asi dejamela saber para ayudartee en tu rastreo.

Creo que eso es para cuando llega el paquete 3 a Bogota. El unico error que creo que cometimos fue que las fotos no eran de 5cm x 5cm sino de tamaño 'cedula'. Sera que por eso me van a pedir un RFE?

Respondiendo a tu inquietud, una pregunta... tu enviaste el registro civil tuyo a tu novio? O solo los formularios G-325A y las fotos... Cuentanos que enviaste. Es posible un RFE por ese olvido porque ellos necesitan verificar que tu pasaporte este vigente por lo menos de 6 meses de vencimiento, ademas que tambien necesitan verificar tu nacionalidad. No quiero ser negativa, pero igual un RFE si se envia rapido, la contestacion es mas o menos de 20 a 30 dias maximo, y luego te lo aprueban.

Vamos a ver que pasa... pero no te desanimes por eso, son olvidos que en si no afectan el proceso.

Hola Jenifer buenos dias. La I-129F debe ir acompanada por una copia de tu registro de nacimiento y de tu pasaporte, no necesitas la de bautismo, ni tampoco deben ser notariados. Los unicos documentos que deben ser notariados son la I-134 osea el Affidavid of SUpport.

Aqui te cito un muy buen dato que nos suministro Dianita:

"La fecha límite para completar los impuestos en EE.UU. del 2007 es abril 15 del 2008. Sería bueno que pudiera llevar copias de los impuestos pagados del 2007, 2006 y 2005 si los tienen.

Lo que tiene que mostrar son los formularions W-2s (que son enviados por el empleador para poder pagar los impuestos) CON los "tax returns". Los W-2s y los tax returns solos no tienen ninguna validez, tiene que llevar copias juntas de los dos... Llamar al IRS directamente y pedir tax transcripts para los años 2005 & 2006, que son resúmenes de los impuestos de cada año y así no tiene que enviar copias de los W2s ni los tax returns.

HOy hemos llorado como nunca los dos porque no es justo... ahora entre a un chat de inmigracion de telemundo y le pregunte al abogado irving, me dijo que era grave el problema, que de todas maneras nos casaramos y aplicaramos el estatus y en la entrevista explicaramos la situacion.

Decidimos casarnos el lunes y ya despues ajustar. Tenemos todo listo, solo es esperar que llegue el dichoso papel de matrimonio.

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers and best wishes as AW went for a tourist visa on Monday. He didn't get it and was really down about it... we both were. But we prayed together that night before that we would leave the whole process in God's hands so I keep reminding us that we have to be patient and obedient (two things I've never really mastered, but am working on).

Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. It's so great to read about everyone's anniversary's - confirms to me that this process in all it's craziness is worth it and can actually bring you closer together! I need a likkle favor today... AW is headed to Kingston today for an interview for a tourist visa. We started the tourist visa process since we are still new in our relationship and before we learned all of the other visa options (and before I found this wonderful site), so we decided to follow it through and then assess our next step after that. So after months of waiting just for an interview date, we finally got a date last week to go to Kingston for AW to interview. His interview is today (Monday) at 1pm -- he's so nervous. And I've quizzed him so much to make sure he knows what to say, but most importantly what NOT to say that I think his eyes are probably crossed wacko.gif But I know he will do well regardless and whatever the outcome happens to be is God's will.

So if you have the time to send us some good vibes and lift AW in prayer it would be greatly appreciated today.

on the cr1 filing is it true that u don't have to adjust status cuz they enter as a permanent residence.. the AOS is the $1000 fee right?? so are there any fees to lift conditions which I think everybody has to do right (k1, k3, cr1) k3 still have the AOS just like K!??

also anybody know people that have traveled w/ a b2 visa while waiting on a Cr1 or any other visa to be approved.. just reading stuff and trying to make sure I understand.. I know these questions have been posed 100 times..sorry..



As CR1 you don't need to file the AOS of $1010. The AOS fee includes EAD, AP and AOS. As a CR1 you already have those things. Yes after 2 years we all have to lift conditions which is around $550 or so.

Also once you get a K visa or other immigrant visa you have to surrender your B2. Correct me anyone if I am wrong....but this is what I thought I heard cause you are essentially adjusting from one visa to another...cant have two different ones.



thanks!!!.. what is a good estimate for CR1 fees??? on the B2, I am good w/ surrendering once the visa is approved, I was just wondering would immigration try to do it b4 simply becuz of the marriage? it would excellent if the spouse could still travel to the US while the process is pending.


You can still travel while your CR1 is pending. I know Trulo and Cief not to mention MANY other Vj'rs did it. They take it at the interview. The fees are
$355 for I-130
$70 for AOS fee(Avidavit of Support)
$400 for IV fee.

Other fees are your medical,certificates, deliveries, etc...but everybody has these and they change all the time.


So is a CR1 visa less expensive to file than a K1 visa when you add up all the fees?

Girl, it is truly Friday the 13th here. I live in DC and we had two fires in the Metro system that shut down a few stations for a few hours; a downtown power outage that knocked out traffic lights and traffic was a mess; three people were struck by cars because the traffic patterns were all messed up. All of this during morning rush hour. I was so tempted to turn back around and head home to curl up under the covers.




I work downtown and it has been a living nightmare today. All I want to do is go home, lock my door, have a bottle of wine, and not speak, see, or hear from anyone today. Tomorrow might be a better day.

Have you ever heard of making he cake with diet soda? You take the regular powdered cake mix and mix in one bottle of diet soda of your choice and bake it -- that's it. I tried it after a co-worker told me about it and it was pretty good.

Thanks my VJ family. The hardest thing that I had to do was take the baby from her. The nursing staff, social workers, chaplin, doctors and her husband tried for 2 hours. When I got up on the floor I thought something happened to my sister and they were all like "THANK GOD YOU'RE HERE"...I had to force and take the baby. That's what I'm having a hard time dealing with. My sister if fine, she's the stronger one in the family. I jokinly told her this is 2nd pregnancy where she beat me up...with her daughter she had a reaction to the STADOL meds and became combative, she busted my lip and nose when I went to rub vaseline on her lips...we joke about that all the time. I still love her.


Lawny, I'm so sorry for your loss and what your family, especially your sister, had to go through. Y'all are in my prayers.
