Hi
I am new here but i've been reading posts for quite sometime already. Would like to ask Lotto if he knows how long will it take for us to get a copy of tax return from IRS once we call them ( actually my husband has a copy of his tax returns but the one who made it was his accountant where he's paying every year just to compute his tax and i'm not sure if NVC will accept that or it should really be coming from IRS). Also i've been reading so many posts coming for Lotto even his EZGuideSpouse, if you don't mind if you can share or give me a sample copy of the "Bar Coded Coversheet of AOS and IV Packet"......
Thanks a lot :)

i ordered mine and it only took about a week and a half

I havent had any movement on my case since the transfer to texas. Hope texas wasnt just used as a shuffeling place to move the cases on to somewhere else to actually work on them. Oh well...good things come to those who wait. Have a Happy Thanksgiving everyone.....

well, it depends how you look at it: for me every day that passes makes me one step closer to the finale, that's why I am positive and cheerful. And when it turns 4 months, it will be even better, it means I am almost at the very end and soon a miracle will happen, every day could be lucky! Posted Image

sky you have the perfect attitude....every day is one day closer to being with by honey forever. like everything with the government there is a process and if you follow it and do as they want things will end up getting done, though i would like them to move faster. i can say because if the position i hold that government employees do there job's they have processes and procedures that they must live by or else they can end up in hot water at their job. LOTO's name is perfect...you need patience for this process, it will finish it just takes time.

I'm thinking that the touches are the cases being assigned to case workers. Looking at thing and the fact that csc slowing down was in danger of messing up the "performance numbers" and immigration is a hot button issue, i smell mass approvals for cases that don't have any glaring issues with them as the interview process can be used to catch any fraud.

public release notice from USCIS:

http://www.uscis.gov...ns_092906PN.pdf

funny thing is it states that VSC transfered 20000 cases to csc that were older than 3 months but no mention of I-130 petitions going from CSC to TSC.

Please follow any instructions provided on the notice. We will notify you by mail when a decision is made. Got some good news, the wife is coming in December to spend Christmas with me...she will bring copies of bank statements lease agreement letter from employer and cell phone bills to prove she will be returning to Australia. but all this got me wondering since we didn't have to give her passport number how will the guy at the gate know she has a visa in process? should she just tell them of if it doesn't come up just keep quiet. she will have a return ticket for jan 10 also and will be using the VWP as she will only be staying 37 days...which is the longest we have actually been in physical presence of each other.....also she will have the tears ready just in-case they try and turn her back...lol
TheSahlisMaleAustralia2010-10-25 13:52:00
IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & ProceduresJuly 2010 CR-1 filers

God, I'm going crazy from the waiting... Not only did our I-130 go to the slowest processing centre, but then I have to wait all those months until I get my interview at the Montreal consulate. So unfair. I feel like I'm never going to be with my husband. :crying:

I know the feeling, the Govt is so illogical. Families should be able to be together as fast as possible, once the process gets out of USCIS the foreign family member should be issued a temp visa and allowed to wait for the rest of the process in the states with there loved one. I think after the election ill write my senator and congressmen on this and see if they might just look at this as part of immigration reform. oh well for right now though we all just have to grin and bare it the process will be over and after will just be a memory......

From what I saw in another thread, it is taking them 3+ months. You think you are done with waiting and then they make you wait all that time for the final part...gotta love it.

I have had one touch back on July 7th lol. That is it.

same here only one touch on july 9th this process shows exactly why the govt is the worst group to run anything, completely inefficient.

Just found some interesting info and thought id share:

Deciphering USCIS Case Receipt Number

Whenever you a file a petition (such as I-485, Adjustment of Status) with USCIS, you get a Receipt Notice[1] (Notice of
Action - Form I797-C) that has a 'Receipt Number'. The characters in the receipt number has significance. Actual meaning of
such characters depends upon the software system by USCIS to process the case.

CLAIMS3 - LAN Version

Example of such receipt number is
EAC 08 015 50023
First three letters represent the service center received the case.
There are four service centers:
EAC - Vermont Service Center[2] (Previous name: Eastern Adjudication Center).
LIN - Nebraska Service Center[3] (LIN refers to Lincoln, Nebraska).
SRC - Texas Service Center[4] (Previous name: Southern Regional Center).
WAC - California Service Center[5] (Previous name: Western Adjudication Center).

08 - Represents the fiscal year in which the case was received. Fiscal year 2008 runs from Oct 1, 2007 to Sep 30, 2008.

015 - Represents the computer workday in the fiscal year on which the fee was taken. 001 is October 1, the first working day
of the fiscal year. 015 represents 15th working day which was actually Oct 19, 2007. Computer work day is really a business
day and it excludes most Saturdays, all Sundays and holidays. Towards the end of the fiscal year in September, the number
goes up to around 265.

50023 - Represents the particular case number. The number always starts with 5 and it has a total of five digits.
Therefore, this receipt number means: this case was the 23rd case received in CLAIMS3 LAN on the 15th computer work day
of fiscal year 2008 at Vermont Service Center.

Most cases filed at USCIS have this type of receipt number, except few as described below.
You can track the status of this type of case online[6].

though this doesnt actually work perfectly and is a few years old it has shed some light ill use my numbers as an example

WAC 10 9 01 42632 = CSC 2010 July 01 42632

WAC 10 9 01 42633 = CSC 2010 July 01 42633

just something to keep us all thinking

loto tried your theory for the receipt numbers, mine is 632 ( last 3 ) i went back to 350 and that was approved though the page has to be reopened to check a different number as it seems to remember what you put in and not update completely....but good news is that csc has approved up to 350 at least which is less than 300 from my numbers

Hello all back from Australia
Had a wonderful time with my wife and step kids, took them on a good family vacation around Victoria.

Departing was torture though and we have a bit of a quandary, she will be essentially homeless in December. I was thinking on having her come over then on a tourist visa which is good for 90 days and when she needs to fly back to Australia for the interview and stay with relatives till last packet arrives then move over here permanently. Id like to get some thoughts on this.

My NOA1 date is June 22nd and my case is with VSC. I wouldn't make a blanket statement saying that Vermont is up to July. I think this is an isolated approval. I know many others that have I-130's pending at the VSC that have May and June NOA1's that are still waiting...

Sorry wasnt trying to make a blanket statement...i was under the impression that things were basiacly taken care of on a first come first serve basis unless you get an request for more info or some other hick up.
