Had my Biometrics in Seattle yesterday. Sat in a chair for 90 mins :bonk:

As I was leaving they were just about to start an Oath Ceremony in the auditorium. I asked one of the guards about bringing family & friends and he said go for it! From what I saw it looked kinda cool :)

oops sorry I didn't see. I saw it now. Honestly, I have no idea. If you see my timeline and compare it to others here, my priority date is earlier than many, but my interview is probably last (of the people who have posted the date so far). I don't know what goes into scheduling interview. I don't have any theory explaining the USCIS madness. But one thing for sure, you need to have lot of patience. And in that line, I would say you will definitely hear about your interview this month. But when exactly...I have no idea.


Oh okay...my priority date was mar 16

But yeah patience is all it is i guess

To UMUC: I don't see your timeline. Can you see a comparable timeline within same/similar local office? I get my interview 15 days from my 5yrs mark.


my local office is Baltimore MD

My 5 year is June as well

All I have gotten, thank God, is I am in line for interview. It hasnt been scheduled yet.

Please I need advice

It has been 22 days since my biometric appointment.

I dont know if I am even suppose to whine about it given that some people in some of these forums have waited longer than I have.

At what point do I start inquiring about my case updates since it has been that long?

I am more calm now than before(still have my GC so it is all good) but just curious at this point.

I drove 3 hour for my Early Bio to Memphis-TN. Security guy wan't let me enter inside caz my date was 05/18/12. I ask to talk to supervisor and explain I am going out of town on my appt date n I came from long distance. She Let me in but I waited 30 min inside. They first finished who had appoitment on that time and then in last they took me. Any ways after all my trip worth it.

I had my fingerprint done early on 05/03/2012.

I am eligible under 319(b) and would have been eligible next year for 3 years of GC due to marriage. I've given up stressing over it, I was upset over the whole mess, now I just don't care, what happens happens I guess.


I know right...I use to look everyday for updates on the USCIS.GOV but I barely do so now and just go by the mail box!

There is no oath ceremony scheduled for the day of my interview, but I am in email contact with my immigration officer and she stated that since there is no oath ceremony scheduled, an officer can administer the oath and present me with a naturalization certificate, if I pass the test and have met all other requirements due to the lengthy travel (I live 5 1/2 hours away from the ATL office). Anyone heard of this being done?


I havent but shiitt if thats the case better start cracking the 100 questions booklet and read hail Mary 11 times...

I actually would prefer that option!

I'm great, how about you? Whats going on your end, any news at all for you?

Nothing new my end, Senators are involved and trying to find out what is going on, but they're getting the same answer we did, that although our case is serious, its not serious enough, so I guess I wait to next year and try again.

It is great to see others on the March Forum doing so well, There's even an interview for one on Tuesday next week, that is fantastic!

not all people are filing based on a 5 yr mark..
some people are filing based on a 3 yr mark, like me..
my 3rd yr was last feb 2012 and now my status says in line for interview..
hopefully, i get my IL this month because we're going to move.. :unsure:
also, it's normal for them to wait for your 3rd or 5th anniversary before they pay attention to your case..

What really makes me angry is :angry: than why give that 90 days prior to 5Y anniversary option...and also why give out priority date when you are obviously not going to work as per priority date. Call the priority date as some other name like "Date we don't care about" or "Date that we put your application in a file"

Yes, they said they have sent it back to USCIS..but the guy who told me that seem like not checking anything..he just asked me my A number and in less than half a second he said its been sent back to USCIS.


Thats exactly what I was told too!

My local office is processing stuff from August 2011!

I am starting to freak out now. I still have not seen any activities since getting a finger print notice on Mar 22nd. Just to check, I checked status of 20 cases around my number..(my NBC number +10 and -10), all but 2 (including mine) is now scheduled for interview. I can't say it is because of slow DO, because Kansas DO is sending out the interview letter to priority date after mine (e.g. Daruma07 here). I know all cases are not same and it takes its own course, but still I started to feel like my file is lost or my fingerprint was not proper (since I did EB, I am worried they may not have submitted it under my name). Just too much things going on in my mind about my n400...I really wish I see some activity before the weekend.


Have you tried calling the FBI customer service dept?

Relax, USCIS is known for strange behavior.

My ROC (I-751) is STILL in the works, 10-months into it's usually 6 months processing time and I'm still waiting while my N-400 has already done the bio.
