My goodness. Did the CO come from the Lagos Consulate? How rude of her to ask those inappropriate questions . She will call me when she leaves the consulate tomorrow night... She is so ready for the interview that I told her to just look at it the same way as if she was going to DHL to pick up a birthday present... no worries just do what they ask and we will be together soon... (our present) 29 hours until the interview... unless there is a problem we don't know about, she will get the pink slip tomorrow night... a week later the visa... I don't know what to expect, don't know how long that AP will last, or when I'm going to be with him... Aya and John, I share your frustrationn. The Lagos Consulate told my fiancee to come back February 22!!! Im just so pissed off!!!! .I dont know which one is worst: waiting for the petition to be approved or waiting for the visa.Im so stressed out!!!! I guess all we can do is pray and wait. I keep emphasizing that it is no big deal in the whole scheme of things... focus on the preparation and forget about the lost $... 7 days from now she will be waiting to get into the consulate... god willing she will be here in 17 days ScottThuy, I cant wait to hear the good new next week when you get the visa approval. In the next 2-3 weeks, contact Department of State and email the Lagos Consulate to find out when your fiancee will be interviewing. Your up against a very very tough consulate. TOUGH. Gather as much evidence of a bonafide relationship. I wish you nothing but the best. Take a peak at the Nigeria portals and go over the interview experiences (almost like the do's and the don'ts) I hope that was helpful. All the Best and Goodluck with the interview.
