Middle East and North Africa	Wedding attire for men	Ladies and Gents, I was just talking to my fiance and he mentioned that he went to the craftsman to get a price on his wedding dress needless to say I was taken back about this. When I was in Marrakesh, I attened 2 weddings and both men were wearing suits. What is the man's wedding dress that he talks about? Does anyone have a picture? What is really scaring me is that he said it looks like my wedding dress he got made for me , I surely hope not. If someone could please help me out here I would greatly appreciate it. Middle East and North Africa	Interviews	Jenn do you really think that if they would say it take 6 months to get your husband over here and it will take a year for the fiance, that the faudulent marriages would be at a very high rate. I think shov hit the nail on the head. But I do think they need to clean up their processes and follow them. I am finding these immigrations laws to be really crazy. You can have people that come here on a visitor or student visa and become out of status for years and all they have to do is marry a USC and all is forgiving, this is totally a piece of ######. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Visa denied!	How did you get a second interview? What can I do? He was issued a 221-g. I have already called my congressman and they say they will e-mail the Consulate. What else can I do to get this looked at again? We had so much evidence and they didn't care and he was so nervous. Tracyandnabil, Your guess is as good as mine. I want to say GOD. But on a serious note my fiancee was flat out denied. NO AP NO AR. Denied. I called my senators office that same day. She said that she can only inquiry about our case but we were not guaranteed a second interview. Im dealing with a tough consulate: Lagos Consulate. What so funny is that they sent my senators office a later dated december 31 that they already gave us a second interview for January 14. I want to say goodluck that I inherited from my mom. We all know that in a perfect world, the applications would be processed in order. Of course you need to know that some of the files expedited may be more than justified. Medical conditions, military personnel, etc...... The waiting definitely SUCKS none the less. I look at some timelines where couples have been waiting since August! Sorry to hear that your application was actually transferred to Vermont. It would be nice if Vermont would send out a very brief report every once in awhile to say "Hey, we are a little swamped with ????????". They should be able to tell us something! I see California has a few October approvals today. Have you heard the reason for the increase of approvals during Jan and Feb with little or no movement for the Nov & Dec filers? Wish you the best of luck with your approval! I realize that we (VJers) are just a fraction of the cases at the VSC, but there are no cases approved yet today! Where are you Vermont!? Show us a sign! On a good note, one of my case workers (with a senators office) called Washington today to complain about the false processing times the USCIS is giving out. She said she got frustrated enough after so many calls that she called and yelled at someone about it. Hopefully they will at least update the site to reflect the 6 month reality. Good luck y'all! I know some posts can stir the pot, but it is takes less energy to close the post rather than telling someone they do not have the right to comment because they have not waited as long. Who decides what is long enough? You, me? The only thing I am saying is that no one should bring grief to someone for venting to people who understand about being apart. For some people, 24 hours seems like a month and others are much more patient. The bottem line is we are all playing this waiting game together. I hope all filers receive their NOA2's as fast as possible. I feel bad for the cases that have been waiting for 5,6 or even 7 months without so much as a touch. Just because new filers haven't waited as long does not mean they do not feel the same frustration as those who have waited longer. No matter when you filed, you should be able to post your thoughts or frustrations without some jerk telling you that you have no right to be frustrated because you have not been waiting as long as he has. This is no competition and I am sure all of us are prepared to wait as long as we need to. Unfortunately we are all at the mercy of our assigned service centers. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Process from NOA2 to Interview	Was hoping to gain a little knowledge from those who have already went through the interview process or going through the process now. Call it jumping the gun, having zero patience or simply being very cautious. I would like to know how the process is handled after the NOA2 is received. I do not want to read some informational document, been there done that. I have heard that geographical area plays a big part in the process, is this true? What can we expect after receiving our NOA2? My fiance is in Brazil. All input is greatly appriciated, I definitely want to be more than prepared! Any thoughts or warnings would be helpful as well. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Calling Senator or Congressman	Hello, So I am just over the 4 month mark which is not even close to a surprise. Have accepted the fact that this approval will take 6-8 months before my fiance will have visa in hand. My fiance is almost 4 months pregnant and I had some extra time on my hands so I decided to give my senator a call--first I filled out the informational form which you need to fax in before making the call. Once on the phone, I received alot of attention, no recorded messages, no being placed on hold and no call screener. I explained my situation and told her that I am familiar with the expected wait time for the 129f. I explained that I was just testing the water and wanted a better understanding of the process since some cases-(non military and no expedites) are getting approved in 2 months. She laughingly remarked "Sometimes it is who you know". Anyway, She said that there are about 14 million visas processed annually--this consist of every type. She said that most days, more visa's are filed than they can process and the wait could very well be increasing. So until they hire more processor's or come up with a more efficient system, the best thing to do is to fully expect a 5-6 month wait and keep your expectations very flexible. Post Decision Activity On May 23, 2011, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I129F PETITION FOR FIANCE(E). After sending the outdated I-29F and getting our package rejected by USCIS, then after waiting 5 months and 3 days we got our RFE because my fiancé forgot to answer a question on the form. Anyway, after all this pain we got our approval today, May 23th 2011! Thank you for all the help provided so far. I have made great friends, and got support from many people, thank you! The process is not over, I know, but I just want to say thanks for everything. Hope you guys that are still waiting that you get approved soon. God bless you all! Tacia & Ryan Congratulations. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	I Am so fudging mad	so i had my interview on june 6th,all things peachy and ######, i come home on june 12th,got AP,they update the website on june 13th, i check it out on june 14th,GUESS WHAT,MY NAME HAS CLEARED can you believe how stupid i felt?dude,this has got to be the most stupid case of AP ever reported in MENA region.not even 2 days after i came back they cleared me Kind of like hitting the lottery then complaining when you have to pay taxes on the money. Congrats none the less. I am happy for you and hope it all comes together a little faster than you had planned. I'm sure there are alot of people here who would like to be in your shoes .
