"T" I agree with you 100% ... I thought of this also in our situation I hate to pull the race card but this is crazy how they were approved! I don't see how that would not raise some eyebrows! I just got a letter from my senetor a few days ago asking about our case but it's too late now it's closed! I called his office back but got the message service ... I can"t wait to talk with them!!! Why now after the fact they are checking? :angry:

I really don't think the age factor is as big a deal with the consulate as other factors. I am 9 years older than my husband and I know of one case in which the woman was 60 and her fiance was almost 30! Several here, which the age gap is larger than mine and also my own case got quick approvals recently....I had two vists of which was 2 weeks at a time over a three year relationship and was approved....both cases including my own made enough income to support the significant other.....one case the man has family in the USA and the consulate was aware and was not a big issue for them....both the other cases the ladies had traveled to Morocco 5-7 times and filed the
K-1 all three of us ladies had been married before.....and all three have children from our past marriages, but all 3 are white and my husbnad too agreed that most Arabic especially Moroccans are not attracted to black women and the consulate may be passing this very same judgement against you both.....I would mention the other siblings and the relationships cause this may be your problem and I am sure they are aware of info on these other siblings.....I know you both have fought hard to be together and I wish you the best. Can you go there and talk to the consulate?Arrange fora private meeting and air it all out and let them see how much you love one another?

I did all of that even contacted my senator still all I got was that our petition required further review then told it had been administratively closed because the dates had expired :(

Thank you all. I am so glad I became a member. So since I didn't send the I-129 it looks like it's not K3 like I thought, so that gives me an extra 1% of hope. Will the yahoo calls cost 29cents a min if I call his cell phone as well? and do you guys think that sending videos of the wedding is acceptable? If his interview is after December, which it could be since we only filed in May. I am making another trip to see him During Christmas Breack because I am a sub-teacher and I'll have 2 weeks off plus some personal days, that way we could gather some more pics and hotel receits as we're planning to travel a little bit. And I'll get to see him since I already miss him so much.

You can use yahoo voice to call him and you will be able to print a record. with yahoo voice you call his phone from you pc. I use it all the time I think it's like 28 cents per minute to call Morocco Your hubby should know as much info as possible because you never know what he will be asked. Some people only get asked a few questions some get asked lots some get asked none.... It really is just a ####### shoot.... So he should know everything... Insha'allah all will go well for you :0)

It was sent back for further review.... They may look at it they may not. It happen to us and they didn't.... They just let it expire... And sent us a nice letter letting us know we could file again....

Sending papers back can take a while.... When ours were sent back it took about 3 months.....

Your petition was approved not your visa.... Your profile gives very little information so it may be difficult for others to assist you... If you petitioned for the K-1 visa and you were told your case was being sent back you should have been given a 221g which may/or may not state why it was sent back. In our case "Other" was checked and we had no idea why our case was sent back. We are currently going through the CR-1 process and have not yet had our interview so we can not advise on this.... I suggest you update your profile giving as much info as possible and when asking questions give more detail so other are able to assist you better....

Hello VJ..

Well, we had the interview only to have my man turned away with NO ANSWER!!!! The Moroccan U.S. Consulate in Casablanca spent 30 minutes with him and then handed him his passport and said he would be contacted. That is it. I know the outcome is unpredictable. But the endless wait is torturous. Does anyone have any positive stories to share after this scenario? I have contacted my congresswoman and will also contact the Consulate itself after a week or so. There was no indication of flaws in my fiance's performance. I just do not understand!

Any feedback would be appreciated.

The same thing happened to me and my husband in 2010. I was there in Morocco when he went for his interview. He got a paper with "OTHER" checked as the reason. Tried contactig the conluate while I was there and was told I had to wait until the case got back to the states. I contacted my congressman and got nothing. When our case got back to the states I got a letter saying our case had been closed because the dates had expired....... This whole process will drive you to the brink of insanity...... We were married last year in Morocco and are now waiting to hear when his interview will be for the CR-1...

I wish I had advice to give...

I don't understand what packet you are talking about? The documents you sent to process gets sent from USCIS to NVC and then unto Casablanca or wherever you are to be interviewed. He should have received an email or some kind of letter stating his interview date and time which he needs to take with him as proof he has an interview. He also needs to take his police record and medical examination paperwork. If you look at the Morocco consulate web page it tells you exactly what you need to bring to the interview. I hope this helps.

We did get an email.... Ad it told us what he needs to take with him to the interview.... But I thought he was supposed to get a packet with the papers for medical... But we have not received it... The email said they had all the doc's needed and he just needed to bring a a copy of my 2011 tax return...

If you submitted your petition last year your income tax return must show that that you are at or above the guide lines.... I got a job 3 1/2 months before my husbands interview and I still needed a sponsor and my income was above my sponsors....

How can one give more proof of relationship and have a better interview with the Spousal Visa when the first time around was not found Bona Fide yet...an actual reason for denial was avoided.

I did the emotional emails right after, I called, I emailed and emailed...to no avail. I had received the first reply to my email indicating Madame, it was not denied just "sent back for further review" and to contact USCIS. Then they replied to another email that it was sent back on a certain date and and they cannot help me...By the time it was back in the U.S. I eventually received a letter indicating it was denied and they will not further continue with my case. No reason given...So with all the info on VJ I can assume we were just naive going into the visa interview that it would be handled with impartial professionalism....

So now that I had the opportunity to visit Morocco for the 3rd time...to marry my love..and have filed for the spousal Visa...does anyone wish to share their experience at Casa after the K1 being denied and the interview for the Spousal Visa???

It would help me to know if they still want photos and same type of evidence, if anything more is requested? Thank you to everyone on here. I come here often not to feel completely helpless...if that makes sense to anyone :)



Your letter actually said you were denied????? This happen to us as well but the letter I receiced once our case was back in the states said our case had been closed because the dates had expired and that we could file again..... From what I have seen here if you were trully denied it would be good to find out why your were denied because just getting married does not always fix the issue.

With a household of 3, then you're about $5000 over. You should be fine with NVC.

I did the I-864ez the first time... They said we did the wrong one... So I sent in the longer one. My income from my new job is $2000 per month after taxes and deductions plus I get $400 child support each month...

Shout out to my girl Saylin...... Hey what's been up with ya???? I haven't been on in a very, very, very long while.... But as usual when get on here I have a question for you :0)

So about a week and a half ago I got our final papers sent out to NVC, I thought I was finished before but they sent me a letter stating myself and our sponsor sent in the wrong AOS form and I needed an additional background check for my husband. So I got the 2nd background check but the AOS form we needed was much longer requiring more info my sister in laws husband did not want to give.... So we had to wait until I started working again.

Now I started working for about a month now. Sent in 2 pay stubs and a letter of employment from my job..... So my question is will this be sufficiant???? Will we still require a sponsor?????

They may ask for you to get a co-sponsor due to 2011's low income, but I say it's worth a shot with your current income (that'll be over the poverty line).

So, your co-sponsor doesn't want to help anymore. Now, you'll obviously have to wait until next month to send in the correct AOS form with your new job details. You're going to need an employment letter that'll show how much you're making per year. And a pay stub or two would also be a very good idea.

Now, NVC generally looks at current income, but they do also factor in previous years. If you met poverty levels in 2009 and 2010, it'll most likely play in your favor. How low was 2011?

Yep sponsor backing out. my last year income was 13,000 something. but both 2009 and 2010 were above the required amount.

Hey Saylin, It's me again with another question for ya.... So I thought I was finished sending paperwork in but I was wrong :0/ I used the wrong affidavit of support form so I have to send them again.... But now my sister inlaws husband no longer is willing to be a sponsor. so ofcourse since he doesn't want to she can't/won't....

Now my question is..... I start a new job on the 30th. That income plus my child support puts me well over the proverty line for a household ($32,880 to be exact) Do you have ay Idea how this works with a new income and my last year income on tax return is below the required amount, but 2010 and 2009 are at and a little above the required amount.

GEEEZ.... Did any of that make sense?????

I only have 1 copy of our Moroccan marriage contract (certificate)..... I want to know if I can have a copy noterized and send it rather than sending my only original???? I did have our marriage registered with the state of maryland where they made a copy of it and put a seal on it Woukd it be ok to send that instead????

Thanks everyone for your kind words.... I really appreciate it...... We will never give up :0) As far as we are concerned we are husband and wife in the sight of Allah ( the so called "engagement party" which is done in Morocco is a modification of a wedding just without the "certificate") Had I known we would be going through this we would have just done the CR-1 in the first place.... If it weren't for my daughter I would move to Morocco to be with him..... Insha'allah I will be able to go to Morocco in December and we will "LEGALLY" marry and file the CR-1....

Honestly I don't think there really was a reason.... We had everything in order.... His interveiwer was jus being a butt... Maybe she was having a bad day..... Maybe she didn't like the fact that I am black and muslim and wear hijab..... She only asked a couple of questions about my parents and my siblings only asked 1 question about me and that was why did he want to marry me.....Kept our photo album for 3 days.... Didn't even ask for any of the other evidence.... I don't know maybe she was just having a bad day :blink:
