This is Poonwattie, I am so glad that u actually got to talk to someone,well I dont think that it is true, that all K1 are being revoked, cause I never heard that, but there is a couple that we know off,Can you please tell which number you used to call the embassy and got someone to talk to?? I really want to call and get someone to talk to,,That will b greatly appreciated.ty

Unfortunately I didn't make a call to them. They made the call to me. It was very late in the night at 11PM. The number that came across my cell phone was the same generic on that is listed on here for the Embassy. I wish I could be more help.

Thanks everyone. I spent an hour on the phone with the CO who interviewed my fiance and it seemed to calm my nerves a little bit. My fiance is very confident in his interview and I am also confident with my interview. The hardest part is that there was absolutely NO Decision made. He showed empathy that he wasn't able to give a time line because he said he even has no idea how long the name checks will take. He asked me to please be patient. He said they do it as fast as they possibly can. This made me feel better too knowing that he could understand the frustration that goes along with not knowing. He is really trying his best to do the job that he has been charged with.

As far as the documents and my fiance leaving the token with them. He said not to worry everything will be returned to him once they make their decision.

And MOHSIN I wanted to be sure to tell you that I asked him specifically if all K-1s were being revoked and he was shocked at my question and wondered where I had heard it. He said that it was absolutely not true.

So now we also begin our wait. I still believe that my fiance is worth every second that we have to wait. I love him with all my heart and continue to put my faith in Allah that there is a plan for us and soon he will make clear the path.

And thanks to all of you for your support and kind words. I know we all have different situations going on but it is helpful to know there is a group of people here who I can talk to about this that can completely understand me. Shukriya!

Did they issue a 221g of any form? OR just simply say they will call or email him?

No, my fiance left with nothing but a promise for them to get in touch with them after they make a decision. He is going to call in the morning regarding the token issue. Poor guy was exhausted.

Thanks everyone for your support. It is appreciated. Overall, Usman seemed to think that (using his own words) he did and AWESOME job in answering an hours worth of questions. I think that the hardest part for him was sitting for so long with no idea how much longer and being sooo very hungry. He only had juice and peanuts all day long.

I pray we hear something soon. INSHALLAH.

So I guess I can neither confirm or deny, but I THINK we are on AP for now.

Those are the words that my fiance felt the entire day that he spent at the Islamabad Embassy. I don't have the full details yet. What I do know is so very confusing that I write it here hoping someone can help me make sense out of what just happened.

He arrived at 6:45AM to catch the shuttle to the Embassy as directed in his Interview letter. Once at the Embassy I would assume that they did the normal finger printing, etc. that they usually do to check the people in and he did receive a token from them to which he could use to pick up his passport from American Express Office.

So then he waited his turn. Eventually he was called and they pulled him into an office. There were two American men there who conducted the interview. I don't know the questions yet and will post them later when I find out, but it sounded like they were very intense and lasted for some time. Then they took his entire folder of information from him that included our entire I-129F application, all the correspondence we received from USCIS, all proof of our relationship, pages upon pages of text message logs, call logs and chat history. Some receipts of postage mail I had sent to him, the Affidavit of support, 3 years worth of tax transcripts and the last about 8 pay stubs from my work. This also included his original school documents, police report, birth certificate and proof of my trip I took to visit him in December. Letters from some of my family members stating that they knew about him and supported our relationship despite not having met him yet. Last but not least they took the picture book I created him from Shutterfly that included all of our pictures we had taken together. Everything, all originals, the entire folder they took it. They asked him to wait. He waited over 5 hours. He finally asked the security guard if he could make a call to the man to find out what was going on. The man came out and told my fiance that they were still discussing our case and hadn't reached a final decision but that they would call or email him to inform him. So then my fiance left. He was just on his way back home at 4:30PM. He was starving, so very confused and also very concerned about them taking all the documents, even the originals. He also accidentally left his token inside the folder that they took from him and is very worried about getting his documents back. We could care less that they took the information, the concern is that they also took the originals and we want to be sure we get them back. Also, why was he treated so differently from everyone else I have read about on here? What could possibly be going on that they aren't telling us? Does anyone have any idea? I feel so blind in all of this.

I tried calling to try to find out more but the lady who answered the phone was very rude and hung up on me after I asked if I could talk to someone.

What the heck? Does anyone here have any idea what just happened to my poor, sweet fiance. I am soo upset with how they treated him.

You REALLY need to call and check on your case. In my personal experience, I received notification from them that they had recieved my petition within a week of my having sent it to them. Then it took about a month to be able to check my case status online.

they said the reason its being sent back due to tax papers

So it sounds like it perhaps was missing some of the documents that were needed to fulfil the Affidavit of Support?

Please help.... Case with adjudicator

Hello VJers, please could someone assist me? I called USCIS because my case is past five months. The agent stated on the 16th, they mailed a letter to me stating that an adjudicator has my file for review....????? OMG!!!!! I knew that a would get an RFE, because I had no enclosed any proof.

I filed my petition in Iraq, but did not enclose proof or the fee. So when i return home,.the sent package back due to no fees. Anyway i paid the 340.00, and i recieve confirmation that my I129-f was recieved. Now 5 months later,... They are telling me, it would be another 60 days. Please advise me on this. God bless.

It isn't clear why they would give you a 60 day timeframe. If I were you I would call back since it is past the 5 month window and open a service request and ask specifically for the case status. They are then required to respond to you in 5 business days.

If you do recieve an RFE for additional evidence, then you should recieve a letter stating that with specific information on what they require to continue processing your petition. For example, I received an RFE because I sent my divorce petition not my final divorce decree so my RFE specifically requested the Final Divorce Decree and they took the entire 6 weeks to adjudicate my case after they received my response.

So 1st, call and open a service request to get details on your status
2nd wait for RFE (if you did indeed get one) and see what the letter specifically states.

Congrats!! Also, just be aware that my fiance NEVER got a call or email from the Embassy. He actually recieved a call from the American Express office to come and pick it up.

You make a great point! There are always helpful, knowledgeable people at airports that can help him find his way and great idea about finding the maps on the internet. I pulled them down and looked at them and the airport doesn't appear to be one of the more massive ones I have been to. Pretty straight forward. I am thankful that his English is very good.

Thanks again to all for your responses! Just trying to find things to make his trip more easy and ways to give him tips to mentally prepare. Thank goodness he is one of the most easy going men I know!.

I am curious about when they arrive to the airport in Istanbul from Islamabad. He will be checking his luggage and I am wondering if he will be required to gather it after his plane lands in Istanbul and then recheck it before he get on his connecting flight. This is what I have to do when I go thru Abu Dhabi and it is a big pain. If they actually transfer it to his connecting flight for him that will be much simplier. Anyone have experience with baggage from Islamabad to Istanbul and connecting flights?

Hi All!

I am trying to get my fiance (who has never flown before) ready for his upcoming trip on the 21st.

First of all he is flying Trukist Airlines. Has anyone flown with them before? Can you share your experience? When I flew from Islamabad to Abu Dhabi I had to gather my luggage and go thru security and check them again in Abu Dhabi. How big is the airport in Istanbul?

Also has anyone had their POE be Dulles Airport in Washington DC? If so I'd love to hear your thoughts on how that went.

k-1 visa Islamabad process HELP!

How do you check if they have recieved it? You can and should call them. They can give you the date that they sent it to the Embassy as well as your Case # which is what you will need to track your Visa case from this point forward.

Then, they email you some packet, does that packet need original signatures from the applicant (me) and the beneficiary? They will email you with instructions on what to bring with you as well as information about the medical. There are also some forms online at the Embassy website that you will need to fill out and send back to them. These forms are only for the applicant's signature.

Then we mail something back to the embassy and they send us back an interview date and a date we need to get the medical exam done by? Once they recieve the forms (mentioned in previous question) they will send you a letter with the interview date and time. You will need to print this out and carry it with you to your interview in order to get access to the Embassy.

Also, how do you pay for the fee when you go to the consulate? in PKR? In dollars? If in dollars does anyone know a place in pakistan that gives out dollars? They take both PKR and Dollars, so no worries about exchanging to dollars if you don't have them.

I hope this information is helpful for you. My fiance was going for his interview this time last year, so if you have any specific question please don't hesistate to ask and I will share with you our expereience.

Administrative Review?

Keep the faith and have hope. Each day that passes is one day closer to the prize of your family being together! I wish this process was easy to understand too but it seems each case is so very different that I think it must also be difficult for Embassy to say EXACTLY what is happening because they can't be sure what they will find.

If you have done all that you can and all documents, questions and information has been provided then I think you should rest assured that you have done all you can and now is in Allah's hands.

I do know these facts: 1) summer time makes the most busy time for Visa's all around the world 2) August is the most busiest travel month of the year. So it seems to me that nothing is wrong with your case at all, just that there are sooo many names being checked across all embassys and consulates that they are doing their very best to keep up.

As I am approaching an interview date, your story and also Carolyn's story scares me to death when I try to think of what will happen next. The feeling of not knowing what will happen next is so very stressful for especially when you have looked your entire life for the person whom you have found only to discover that because of Government protocol and other people's mistakes being together could take much longer than ever dreamed.

My fiance also had an issue with his birth certificate. They gave it to him with the wrong birthdate. You should go to them and get it corrected. It took about 3 weeks for them to fix my fiance's.
