Lawny, I am so sorry to hear of your loss - reading your post brings tears to my eyes. I lost one of my nephews at 3 months old - losing a child has to be one of the most painful things a mother can experience - my prayers go out to your sister and your family.

Clairen: I'm glad to hear that things are looking good for you and Mike. I can see Ray getting cold feet too. It's just something that happens, but then you move on past that and you'll be together forever.

I know it's been a while, but I got back from Jamaica safe and sound last night. I had a wonderful time with Ray and friends that went along with me this trip. Ray and I were both so sad that I had to leave and we both asked each other are you going to be ok? Are you going to cry? lol We both did really good only for me to come home to this.

Roxcie,

I would not recommend you doing 2 sided copies. I can't find anything saying you can't, but I've never heard of anyone who has done that. Better be safe than sorry.

You do need to submit a cover letter with your package. It must include what your filing for and list everything that's in your package.

I don't believe your affidavits of proof have to be notorized. I've attached the link to the I-130 guide. This should help out with some of your questions. Doesn't seem like any of the vets are around, but I'm pretty sure my answers are correct.

I'm sorry Wakey for the other folks that feel like this place has changed and I hope you guy's don't leave us. Mich...I know it seems like things take forever at the embassy, but I'm sure you'll here something soon. Sometimes they like to "wait" till they've rec'd a bunch of them for the month and then they email everyone with Interview times. That's how it went for me, Gill and a bunch of others so Hang In There! Dave got lucky cause he dropped his DS230 off at the end of February and they scheduled the Interview only a few days later via email.

I just felt the need to vent today. lol I'm normally patient, but it's getting harder and harder day by day. I TOTALLY understand how Marlita and the rest of the folks that have been waiting much longer than I have feel. It's all good..... lol I'll just stop checking so often. Thanks for the information because I just assumed that they normally document receipt about a week after drop off. I think everythings moving slow at the embassy right now, so I'll just take a chill pill and relax my mind.

I agree with everyone else, I think you need to go knock on the door at USCIS and get some questions answered. I'm glad you came back with a plan. That will help you get through the next few months. I understand what ur saying Claire..My thoughts run wild and the fact that this is the MATTRESS they/you used to share MOMENTS just makes my skin itch...our bed is brand new for both of us...i wouldn't sleep on a mattress that I know used to be THE BED..i told my husband many times he laughs but..i wouldn't be able to sleep..call me crazy...it's a pet peeve (sp)..and this is also a reason why I do not like to stay in hotels...I bring sheets and pillow cases to put over theirs ...smile.gif

Well, look like mi a no di only mad one...I do the same thing. I use to work housekeeping at Marriott and don't even let me tell you....YUCKKKKKKKKKKKKK and don't let me tell you about TOWELS.



Ohhh I remember my work in housekeeping. I think it was the nastiest job too. This one time a woman stayed for about a week. I went to clean the room after her check out she had made the bed and cleaned the room. At first I thought awesome I don't have to do anything but clean the bathroom. Well, my mind wouldn't let it go and I pulled the comforter back and OMG. A BIG POOL OF BLOOD in the center of the bed.

I did this too Sus.... It took over a week for them to verify my information and then it worked perfect. Well, I'll have to try it out... I normally go into DC for happy hour and I hear there are a couple nice places in the Blvd at Cap Centre.


I work by the waterfront in DC, so I do some of the clubs down there for happy hour, but on weekends, especially Fridays, I will meet my GF at CS since we both live in this area. Sunny, you know how bad the traffic is in this area, so once I get home I am not up for going back down town. But the subway is quite close so I could hop on it and travel back down. What's in the Blvd that happening? If you are at the Blvd, look up the store HoneyComb Hideout. Hint HInt.. Family owned.

Verizon phones don't use a chip - they can't be unlocked and used - I know that AT&T ones can - but I have Verizon service, so I researched this out because I had gotten a new phone (won it through work) and was going to bring the old down for a friend -


They can be unlocked, but just not for Digicel. Once unlocked, you can only use them on B-Mobile or Miphone. I had the chocolate phone unlocked in April.
