Lawny asked me to pray for her in another thread, but of course I had to bring it to the Yardie thread….

We honor you heavenly father! May your perfect will be done in our lives! Thank you Lord for the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind! Please rebuke the enemy for us. Send your angels to watch over us, especially to keep a close watch on sistah Lawny and others who have been patiently waiting for their approval notices. We know they will soon come. Watch over her as she gives the best presentation ever today.

Help us all so that we can make it through another day. Continue to give us good blessings as you have done. Protect, strengthen and do spiritual warfare. Bless me and the Jengles family so that we can heal from our illness quickly. Bless the mothers-to-be with successful pregnancies. Keep our relationships with our families strong and healthy. Protect our fiances in Jamaica and keep them safe so that they arrive to the states in perfect condition to join their new families.

Watch over any persons that enter that Kingston Embassy today, tomorrow and forever and give your blessings as they walk in nervous and anxious to get through the interview process with an approval. Give strength to those who may need to come back for any reason and guide them through the process until they succeed.

Walk with Tonisha (tnw) and LaPrincesa lord because they are next up and we know that only you can make it possible to get them through this process. Take their hands and stand with them as they answer those interview questions with their future husbands. We are all ready to hear that they’ve been approved. Without you Lord, who are we? Thanks for blessing us with so many new friendships. In the precious Name of JESUS! Amen

Yardies:

I'm trying to mail off my packet today, but when I put my pictures in the clear sheet protectors, I typed labels of who was in the picture etc. After reading the instructions, it said to write on the back of the pictures. I used two-sided tape and now the pics are stuck and I can't get them off the plactic. LMAO..

Do you think it's ok to send the pics like this?

Sunny, how u manage to get sick baby girl. You can't do that. Well, do you have some WHITE RUM! If you do, break it out with some TEA or coffee. I think I use rum for everything. My son is 4 and he's only REALLY been sick (thank God) ONCE!...as soon as he gets the sniffiles or a runny nose, I but a little rum in his bath water and I rub some on the top of his head (his soft spot or his baby spot). I'm so old fashion and COUNTRY, but I love it...It's just me. My grannie raised me.

Lawny,

You sound like Ray. He said whenever e feels sick, which isn't often he goes to the Rum Bar and drink plenty of rum to sweat it out. I have some Wray & Nephew here in the house, so I'll try to dink some with my tea... Thanks

Hi Ladies, hope you are all having a wonderful day.

I'm still putting together my K1 application and its definitely taking a toll on me! Anyway 3 questions:

1) Is it one or two passport type photos that should be included with the G325A?

2)For the description of how we met, I have two paragraphs, one long and one short, is this too much information or not enough? I've read on this site that it should not be too specific but then elsewhere on the site I've read I should be very specific.

3) Does it matter if I pay with a personal check or money order? I was thinking of using a personal check.

Thanks for your help!

Mumsie,

Make it short but accurate. Things that your SO will remember...Place, Date, what you were doing. The more info you give them....the more questions they can generate to ask him...Short, but concise!

One to two paragraphs should be good....it's 'War & Peace' novels that I would say NO too!

Bless,
Gill

P.S.- PERSONAL CHECK PERSONAL CHECK PERSONAL CHECK!!! You can track the progress of your application better!

yup what she said.....and photo copy the check as well....just to have another type of record.....you know how they can be with paperwork!!!

Ohhh,

thanks for reminding me Nans....photo copy your Entire application (a PITA...I KNOW, but trust me ...you'll thank us for it in the end!)....especially the 'how you met part' ...send a copy to SO and let him start memorizing it from NOW!!! I can't memba bout deh passport pictura dem...

Bless,Gill

This was on the I-129F checklist

7. G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the US Citizen signed and dated (see example)

8. One passport-type photo (see specification) of the US Citizen. Write the full name of the US citizen on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of <Insert US Citizen's Name>". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.

9. G-325A (all four pages) filled out by the foreign fiance(e) signed and dated (see example)

10. One passport-type photo (see specification) of the foreign fiance(e). Write the full name of the foreign fiance(e) on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag "Photo of (insert foreign fiance(e) name) ". Attach the bag to a sheet of paper and place behind the corresponding G-325a.

Mawnin Lawny;

What you up to girl? I just booked a trip to JA (Sunset Jamaica Grande) for June for some family and friends. They had a trip for 5 days for $686 per person, so Ray's going to stay there with me and doesn't even know it. I'm going to surprise him if I can keep my big mouth shut that long. lol

My Meez is at the airport a little early, don't you think??? laughing.gif

We booked a trip for November. We're thinking of staying a few days at Sunset JA Grande. Let me know how it is and if it's friendly for locals. You know how some places are!

From the infromation I've received already, it seems as if SJG's a good place for locals and tourists. I did hear about them being strict when it comes to people coming on the property (to the lobby area) that are not guests', but I'll have to see when I get there. I'll let you know.

Girl, they are a TOO damn strict with that. I had to cuss them out in June last year. A friend of mine was getting married and Sandals, so a lot of the guest stayed at Jamaica Grande (most of the guest were Jamaica). I had to tell off the security guard, because we walked into the town and they must of changed shift. He's going to quesition my cousins and I about how long we've been on the property. Now, we all had our wristband on. I asked him if he was damn blind and when he stood in front of us I lost it. I said, you would not treat anyone else like that so step the *&%^ off. He wanted to know when whe checked in and that he had not seen us on the property. Main reason I hate staying at resorts, I think they treat the JAMAICANS differently. At the Riu, I purchased day passes for my cousins and the guard wanted them to stay at the gate then walk up. Now, the walk from the gate to the front desk is a long A$$ walk. I said abosolutely NOT! I told them to call the front desk. Why the hell would I try to sneak people into the property, which was what the guard implied. I was so damn upset. When he checked his log, he had my cousin's names there.

I love Jamaica Grande, because everything is right there. Ochi can be a little crazy at times and I'm sure ya'll already know. Hold on to your HANDBAGS...all they have to see is the WRISTBAND and you're an instant target.

That's a shame... They reason don't have to be that strict. When I stayed at Sandcastles in February, Ray bite off our wristbands. I was like omg, what are you doing. He said we don't need people knowing where we stay. It was fine to do at Sandcastles, but probably not at any of the other resorts. I wonder what he'll do when we stay at SJG together in June...

Does it matter if you owe taxes every year? What exactly is it that they want to see? Also, is there a certain amount of money you should have in your bank account? I only plan on providing information on one of my bank accounts, but was wondering if I need to provide information on all three. This of course is whenever I get to this point. Just curious....

As long as you meet the poverty guidelines, you'll be fine. You don't have to show them any of your bank accounts or assets if you make enough money. They just need proof of your income - pay stubs and a letter from your bank stating your total deposits. As for your tax returns, it's just more proof that you made enough money.

Thanks for the info Rhonda, I'll be ok then.

I feel you on that Gill. Maybe when she was promising, so did not expect him to get through. I can't understand us Jmaicans, we do not take care of our own. Also look at the Hatians them, how so much of them pack up in a small apartment or house until each one makes it on their own and then they turn around and help another. We should really take at look at how they live and take a page out of their book.

I really hope she changes her mind, because it will be less stress on you financially. Just keep praying and we have you in our thoughts and prayers.

Much love
Claire

Claire, I agree with you on this issue. It's the african-american culture period. We just don't want to see the other person succeed. It's really a shame. If we could just stick together like other cultures, life fo us would be awesome. I was thinking the same as you when you said maybe his aunt didn't think they would get through the process. If I were Ken, I would be hurt also. I hope things work out for Gill.

Sorry to hear that Gill, I hope things work out for you. So I take it that he can't just stay at your dads for a few months until you can save enough money to get something else. What are your other options? Is there someone else you can ask? When are you expecting Ken to arrive?

Depends upon how much you make Sunny. One interviewer did take those returns...SERIOUSLY!! She was like your SO OWES ALOT of TAXES EVERY YEAR and is barely able to take care of herself...

Just open an ING account now and start throwing whatever you can into! I get $$ back but my savings was pitiful. That's what I did...but they didn't even ask for the blasted bank statement!!! mad.gif

Thanks Gill,

I'm not too worried... Just because you owe taxes doesn't mean you can't take care of yourself, so I don't know where they got that from. lol For me, I simply prefer to have my money during the year. Went to SJG in Sept last year. I liked it alot especially cause I was getting a break from no electricty and cold showers and sometimy water flow...haha.

Anyway we got a deal of less than $350 for the 2 of us. I thought it was catered to kids alot which was cool but you couldn't have food in your room, so no room service or bringing food up...I didn't like that at all. Also there were no motorized water sports included so that sucked. The food was good though. I ate at the restaurants and buffet. Oh but at the end of the stay...why did we go to check out and had a charge from someone (maid) using our room phone. Yeah I had to settle that quick quick. I thought the location of SJG was cool, but I think I would like to try the RIU cause I feel like SJG was missing alot of amenities. I would have been disappointed had I not paid so little for the stay.

Hey Lita,

I agree with you, I think the reason we liked SJG so much too is because we got a REALLY good rate for the 5 days but ur right about the "no room service" and stuff like that. They make it so u HAVE to eat all your meals at certain times and since i smoke cigarettes...I didn't like how you couldn't smoke in your room or really anywhere on the property but outside. mad.gif

The food was decent and i enjoyed the beach, the pools and some of the entertainment....the bar in the main lobby was my favorite cause u could smoke cigarettes out there and here music 24-7 laughing.gif Overall, the best thing about SJG is the location and the fact that when it goes on sale, ur only paying about $100 a night for 2 people. Otherwise, I heard the RIU is the best all inclusive in Ochi....if you don't mind not being able to really Walk to anything close by.

RIU is the same way. There's no room service, however they do allow you to take food to your room. I love the rooms at the RIU and the fact that they have a mini bar and fridge in each room. The watersports are the same as SJG. Only non-motorized watersports. The speciality restaurants have to be reserved way in advance and you have to get up at the crack of dawn to try to get a reservation.

My Meez is at the airport a little early, don't you think??? laughing.gif

Sunny, where did you get that price?
We're thinking of renewing our wedding vows there in May or early June once I get my AP...

JaEng: That sounds nice.... AirJamaica was running a super special... We booked last week and was able to get that price. But, since if was so cheap, two of us got our rooms for like $800. Me being the person that I am. I always check to see if I could have found the trip cheaper, so I looked and it has gone up to like 772 per person. Check out airjamaicavacations and play with the dates... Even try to book your hotel and air seperate and see what the rates come out to be. They are running what they call a Springtastic Sale" Check cheapcaribbean too... The reason why I like AJ Vacations is beause you can pay on it and your transportation is included....

Sunny that's what I do. Sometimes it comes out be a lot less expensive. People think they're getting a better deal with a PACKAGE, but sometimes you end up paying A LOT more. Girl Ray is going to be so happy. When Marcel and I were at the Riu, people thought he worked there. We in the dining hall and he's coming to the table, lady says, excuse me can you get me a bottle of water. He just kiss his teet***. The Riu in Negril is ohhhhhhhh lord so beautiful. We're going there again next month. The Riu messed up on my reservation back in May of last year and when I stayed in November they were suppose to give me a credit and did not. So, I get to say for 3 days in Negril and I can't wait.

If you want to gain about 20lbs in 3 days...stay at a Riu property. I've never seen so much food and liquor. If when we was on the beach they kept filling up our glasses.

The Club RIU Negril is my favorite. I've stayed there about 4 or 5 times. I stayed at RIU Tropical Bay once and it was ok. Back in 2005, the RIU overbooked their reservations and so I got a call from a rep at Air Jamaica Vacations asking if I mined switching to Grand Lido and getting a free 2 night stay to come back later at the RIU. I was so upset, but that was because I had no idea about The Grand Lido. it was the best decision. I loved that place.

yes very good decsion, the grand lido is mad expensive...how was it, i want details....it looks very stush...was there a lot to do?

The Grand Lido in Negril was really nice. It's located directly across the road from Hedo. As far a the property itself, I think I prefer RIU. The rooms were really nice and had a step down into the living room that then lead the the balcony. The bathroom I loved. It had the shower with a bench and about 6 or 7 shower heads just shooting in every direction. The restaurants were great. I loved their pasta restaurant and the japanese stak house where they prepared your food at the table. It was delicious. You can also get room service just about all night.

The bar was stocked with premiun brands like Remy Martin, Hennessy and all the good stuff. The pool was a bit small, so I didn't get in. The property has a yacht that sails daily and that was really fun and it's no additional charge. There's a nude side that my girlfriend and I went to see. Yuck no0pb.gif Don't do that if you ever stay there. A bunch of old folks nude..... Not a pretty site. People were laid out with their legs cocked open reading books and some were walking up to the bar to get patties and drinks. Butts sagging. Ok,hold on and let me get myself together. You took me back. lol Overall it's a very nice place to stay, but only if you can get it at a good price...

That sounds nice. I would love to go there minus the naked side, ewwwww! I need to be on the beach with a nice drink. good.gif

ranting33va.gif Okay I need to vent! OK first the background story or none of the rest of the story will make sense. I dumped my kids father May of 06 for cheating. 2 weeks later the new chic got pregnant. And had a girl. Mean while she's psycho and has stalked me, sent the police to my house numerous times (lookin 4 the ex), and many, many other things. Why in the F*#$ did the heffer just call inviting us (the kids & I) to Brianna's 1st birthday party next Saturday. Mind you we NEVER have been on good terms (her doing) and if I ever see chic in public she will get beat down. My ex and her are not even together anymore. Of course they didn't last long. Oh I could go on and on! I can not believe this chic had the nerve to even call my flippin house! And unlike a normal sane adult I know damn well her motive is not so the children can have a relationship.

It's hard to say whether the invitation is because she wants her daughter to know your children or if she wants to get you there and start picking you for information about your ex. Whatever you do, try to make the best decision for the sake of your children and yourself. Be careful and don't fall into any traps. Good luck!!!

Mawnin Jengles!

I plan to make the tons of fun... I stayed at the RIU in Ochi, but the resort wa just too big for the amount of staff they have. It was just ok, so I hope things are better at SJG....

I'm on my way to Starbucks Jengles to get a Viente extra hot caramel macchiato and if you lived closer I would get it for you... I have to go get my Intent to Marry letter notarized at the credit union. I'll be back in a bit.

MAWNIN JENGS...u welcome to my daddy house at any time.

Sunny,

We loved the Riu. I loved the room. They upgraded us to a suite (not sure why, but I didn't question it). We just got a little bored with all the Europeans. So, me with my slight INTOXICATED self and MAD RASS'self (got on stage) with my big BAXIDE showing the Europeans how to drop it like it's HOT. Girl mi mash up the place. Had all these men throwing money on the stage. Money from different countries at that. I gave it to the performers that was up there. Then I brought some of the ladies on stage to show them how it's done (girl can you imagine). Their husband went crazy. Girl, the amount of noise in that place that night. The men in the audience told Marcel YOU BETTER HURRY UP AND MARRY HER (he told them I was his fiancee). The men were like (man she is full of life, what a handful and you'll never be bored). He just laughed and shook his head. He's like no more DRINKS for you.

Girl you should have seen me showing these ladies how to do the DUTTY WHINE. I wish I had recorded it. It was a site to see. So, you know I was a bigtime CELIBERTIY by the 2nd day. So, the third night, they were like aren't you going to start it off. Now, why did they ask me that. So, OH YES! I had them on the stage doing the CHICKEN noodle soup and SOILDER boy.

So, you know by the time we left the Riu, Marcel thought that I was insane, but he says that just makes him love me more. I'm a down-to-earth person. I love to have fun; and I the amount of money I paid to stay at the Riu (I was not about to be bored).

Lawny, your a mess....... That is too darn funny!! You know, they upgraded us too. We stayed on the side that was close to that little bar/restaurant that was next to the hotel. (It was yellow) We had a jacuzzi tube and sitting area. It was nice, but our key kept giving us trouble and we went back to the front desk about 10 times.... I've stayed at all three RIU's in JA and I like the RIU Negril the best. Now that they ae buliding on in Mobay, I guess I'll have to try that one out. lol I've never stayed in Mobay, so that might be cool. The RIU can get boring at times, so that's why I selected SJG. If we get bored, we can walk into town.

really where?? I have to log off, or else i will never start my day...plus breakfast is ready...pancakes, bacon, sausgese (sp)

Ok, I remember seeing it last month, it's about 5 mins from the airport heading towards Ochi. It's near where they are building those expensive a-- condos call Palmyra... Most of the structure was up and I think it opens in Sept.

My cousin got married at Grand Lido. Absolutely beautiful, but EXPENSIVE. The Holiday Inn is nice, especially if you have kids that are under the age of 12. They stay free. And they have a lot for them to do. The few times I've stayed there with my son, he didn't want to leave the kids activities and I didn't want to leave him, so I had to sit there and be bored out my mind.

I know the felling. One of the times I stayed at RIU in Negril, I took my neice (14) and nephew (16) and I just let them roam around the property. There were coming in around 3am eveerynight after hanging out and going to the Pacha. The had a great time and keep asking Aunt Michelle "When are we going back" lol I'm like one day soon. The other nephew (10) at the time wants to go now. I didn't take him because he needed to be watched at all times, so I owe him a trip. lol

Trelawny and Marlita - I hope your NOA2s soon come ClockWatch2.gif

We're still waiting for Damien's NOA1...he went to his biometrics appointment this morning. His CG expires April 10th.

Thanks. I hope it comes soon also. Because, I don't know if I can stand to be in HEAT again this month. KIMMY no baddah open u mout innocent.gif

I understand the In Heat part Lawny. Dang it! I may need a trip before June...lol cool.gif

HHHHHHHaaaaaa my girl that is so true. That's a good price for Jamaica Grande. I like it their it's really nice. If you're going to be there check out Magarita Ville on Wednesday night. I can't remember what nights I use to go to Amesia and there's another club. I know Ray is going to be surprise. Poor Marcel, he thinks I'm coming to Jamaica in June. His friend is picking me up at the airport next month April 9th and I can't wait. I'll also be in Jamaica in June, so maybe we can link up. I stay at my dad's house in Trelawny. So, if you don't mind the COUNTRY you're more than welcome. Hopefully the renovations will be done by then. AND please make sure Ray is with you, because all I have is MALE cousins and all they have to see is a women with a tiny bit of MEAT on their body and they lose their ever loving minds.

Lawny,

We pass Trelawny on our way to Ochi, so it's not that far away. I go to Margaritaville a lot when I go to Ochi since I normally stay in town and I love it. last Month Ray wanted to go to Amnesia and I got dressed and we walked to him mom's house, but I was so tired that I layed down and went to sleep. We never made it, so I'll be sure to go this time. We are going 6/2-6/6, but I may stay a little longer. I'll have to see.

I would love to meet up if our travel dates are the same. Hmmmm, your guy cousins will be there huh? I'm thinking if I should I bring Ray or not???? I think I'll bring him...

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Yes, males dominate my family.

Why you just telling me now Lawny..... laughing.gif Just kidding, my whole heart.gif belongs to Ray. He's my everything.

Mawnin Lawny;

Sunny, where did you get that price?
We're thinking of renewing our wedding vows there in May or early June once I get my AP...

Sunny,

I hear you, I think the food at the Grande is better, but there is just more of everything at the RIU. I wish the Grande would upgrade their rooms a bit and have them include fridges like at the RIU, something in me can't justify paying more at the Grande when i'm actually getting less.

I agree Jengles.... I loved having the fridge in the rooms, but I rarely used the liquor. The RIU was about $5 more than SJG, but I wanted us to be within walking distance of the grocery stores, markets and clubs and that's the only reason I picked SJG. I love the RIU rooms as pools and in Ochi, I think the beach is a lot better near the RIU.

Sunnyja - I like Jamaica Grande a lot...you guys are going to have a blast

Mawnin Jengles!

I plan to make the tons of fun... I stayed at the RIU in Ochi, but the resort wa just too big for the amount of staff they have. It was just ok, so I hope things are better at SJG....

I'm on my way to Starbucks Jengles to get a Viente extra hot caramel macchiato and if you lived closer I would get it for you... I have to go get my Intent to Marry letter notarized at the credit union. I'll be back in a bit.

Sunny, I'm surprise I kept my mouth shut this long. I try so hard not to laugh when we on the phone and he sound all SAD (I can't wait to see my baby). I be cracking up. He's like you sure you can't come sooner and I'm like (no baby my work scheduled is too demanding right now). Then he sounds so pitiful. Mi ago dead. His brother asked me what size my ring finger is, so maybe I'll get a ring on this visit (who knows). No biggie to me.

Ray is the same way. Last night he said "Honey, I need you here NOW" I was like and I want to be there NOW. lol He sounds so sad that it makes me sick.... Marcel is going to go crazy when he looks up and your there. It's going to be a blast! That would be so nice if you get your ring this trip, because just the little things help to make the waiting process a little better. Ray said we talk on the phone so much, it's like we live next door to each other.. It really does....
