Yardie, hang in there. I had to care for my grandmother and it takes a lot of patience, but they would rather you help them vs the caretakers in the assisted living places.

Incredibly sad and actually pretty scary.

The story was in the Gleaner one day last week.

Good question! I'll have to ask her. I know she went to the one in Trinidad last year and said it was great.

Hey Sunny,...did you get HAIL on your side of town. It was droping like crazy outside. It made it look like it was snowing and that stuff hurts when it hits your skin. You cannever go wrong with a TRINI carnival. I went to Brazil twice for their carnival and it was a little too crazy for me. It remined me of SPRING BREAK in Cancun . Oh, man do I have some spring break stories. You know when you had no kids and no real responsibilities. Do any of ya'll remeber FREAK NIC or however it's spelled and black college weekend. Lord of mercy. I'm glad I behaved. I'm seeing alot of those videos show up on you tube.

Hey Lawny,

Girl it was crazy today. Didn't get any hail today, but It was raining like crazy and now the wind is blowing so hard that it's almost scary...

I remember Freak-nik and girl even though I never went, I remember all the wild stories that were told. Just like Bike Week in Myrtle Beach. When I think about some of the crazy things I use to do, I just shake my head. I was bad....

I discovered the WE channel last weekend. I watched "Women on Death Row" parts 1, 2, 3. The last case was a lady who raped and murdered a 6 year-old little girl. She also sexually assualted her daughter when she was an infant. Her daughter was taken away from her but she was never charged. Two years later she killed the 6 year-old. It was so sad....can't get it out of my mind.

I always watch murder shows...especially women like "Snapped" on the Oxygen channel. The shows on the WE channel are worst by far.

I don't think I'd be able to watch that. Going through enough already with just watching the local news and I wouldn't be able to take that. My mom watches all those shows and she doesn't understand why she's scared to stay in the house alone.....

Mawnin Sunny, I just got some. It's pouring rain outside and the line was going out the door. So, my mom and I drove to the one in Gaitherburg and went through the drive-thru. Well, I have 4 weeks to go before I go home and I can't wait. He has no clue I'm coming, but his best friend does. That's who will pick me up at the airport. I'm still trying to figure out what his parents and family is up to. We shall see. I'm just homesick in the worse way. Now my ALLEGRIES are starting to kick in. I hope I make it through this year. Last year I wanted to rip out my eyes.

I'm jealous... I'm going to stop and get coffee on my way to IKEA with my mom and sister. Lanwy, you'll have the best time in JA. At least you have a countdown because I have no idea of when I'll get back to see Ray. I told him that I might use my Spirit ticket and come for a long weekend. Everything will be fine when you get to JA, just enjoy every minute of it. Start taking your allergy meds early so that you have them well into your system when the time hits....

Do you feel the same way as I do about JA? When you get there you feel like you have all the time in the world to spend time with your fiance and then you turn around and it's time to go. Where does the time go? Damn.... I cried all the way to the airport last month. I told Ray that I can't allow him to drive me to the airport again. It's just real hard for me.....

Not here, other than to his daughter..who we send $300 a month. No!! When everyone else come begging he usually say no, unless they make him feel really bad, then he'll send 20 bucks here and there.

Can I be nosy and ask how he sends $20?

I hate to send anything less then $100 cause of the fees associated with Western Union.

You have an easier way?

Money Gram is much cheaper than Western Union. I think it's $9.99 up to $300.

If you send Western Union via the web, it is only $9.99.

Okay. I used to pay more at the store...it was almost $20 until I found Money Gram.

I went through with my hubby. I don't remember two diffrent lines in Ja

They do have 2 lines. Last year I went home 6 times and each time I went it was something different at the airport (renovations). I know in September we had a long rass walk to get to customs and it was HOT as hell were we got our luggage. When I went in December I only remember one line and peopole all over the damn place. It was the day after Thanksgiving and it was a MESS!

I was there the day after Thanksgiving!!! I was probably in the thick of that mess but so excited to be out of the cold I didn't even notice it.

I was there the day after Thanksgiving!!! I was probably in the thick of that mess but so excited to be out of the cold I didn't even notice it.

I was there last month and only remember one line. It's all new now... I know when you get back to the states there's two lines.

Nothing exciting here this weekend and work is slow today.

I am doing laundry now and cleaned the kitchen, mopped the floor.
Even made a Louis MEEZ ...

At least the snow they said we were going to have turned to rain!!

Irie.... Does Louis have his shoes on the wrong feet?????

laughing.gif

They do make his feet look extra big!

I agree.....it does look like he has them on the wrong feet. Thanks to ole' eagle eye for catching that. Next time I can't find my car keys, can I call you Shell?

LMAO laughing.gif Well, I'm sorry but that's one of the first things I look at when I see men.... Now with the keys thing, you might be on your own. There's no excitement for me in looking for keys. lol

I guess I don't really pick it up cause I know you are really light.

What do you think of the JA tattoo? Do you think it looks different then one he would get here? Andre's from JA are so raised. The one he got here is what I picture a tattoo looking like....flush to the skin. Probably not describing it as I am thinking; but hopefully, you get the gist. I was watching "House" one day and this prison inmate had an issue with a MRI and his prison-issued tattoo. Apparently, they used lots of lead in the ink and the MRI pretty much pulled the lead up towards it. It was a crazy scene. I think about that every time I look at Andre's tattoos.

It wasn't what I expected and he'll need to have it done over when he gets to the states. He said he wants another one and I asked him to wait....

People in prison get bored and do almost anything. lol

My point in that scenario was that I thought I read somewhere that JA tattoos have a high lead content.

Why have it done over?

His isn't raised and actually wasn't that dark either. That concerned me. Looks like somebody used him as a ginny pig did it....

I think we are going to the bar across the street from our house tonight to listen to a friend of a friend play some music.

Anyone know any unusual drink I can order that I probably havent' tried before?

Hmm, what kind of drinks do you normally like?

Beer, fruity... martinis?

I love a good espresso martini! Oh I want one now! :-)

Very, very, VERY light beer. AB has one called Beach Blonde---only one I truly like.

I like hot chocolate with a shot of butterscotch Schnapps and topped with whip cream.

Rum Cream, Banana Rum Cream, Amerula.

Very dry white wine.

straight shots of Tequila.

Margarita's are fine. Shell got me hooked on Mojitos too.

Amerula & Tequila are my drinks of choice.

I think I'd like to try some interesting concoction tonight.

Oh Mojitos are gooooood!!!

I think you would like the espresso martini.
Martini glass with cocoa on the rim. Shot of espresso with Tia maria and baileys and absolut. (they make it different all over)
With a chocolate covered espresso bean or hershy's kiss in the bottom.

Straight shots of tequila... your a bad girl!! LOL

Good morning all! Happy Friday... more snow on the way here!! YUCK!!!

I e-mailed Barbados before I went to bed last night and they already answered. I hope it is this easy the whole way through!

Irie Irie Irie...

I've never been to St. Lucia..but your man look so fam. You all eva been to JA.

I have been to JA, but not Louis. He has never been off his little island. Barbados will be an adventure.

I aready mentioned...he has a BTful smile....not as nice as my husband, but nice. lol

Aww thanks! He has a devious smile. Well he has a bunch of different smiles. They give him away though.

Come up with a better concoction that does not include anything to do with coffee. I absolutely cannot stand the taste of coffee.

What about this one?

Tequila Mockingbird

1 ounces Tequila
ounce Triple Sec
ounce Blue Curaçao
2 ounces Orange Juice
1 ounce Cranberry Juice
Fill highball glass or tumbler with ice. Add tequila and Triple Sec, followed by orange juice and cranberry. Add blue Curacao. Do not mix. Garnish with a lemon or a cherry if desired and serve in a highball glass.

Thanks Lawny,

I love your pics too!!

He's the love of my life... Ray shocked the heck out of me and got a tattoo on his chest with my name on it. What am I to think??? lol It was actually there the last time I was there, but because he's so dark I didn't even notice it.

Pay attention!

Ha ha on the STROKER comment.

Stroker would be a good name for Ray too!!

Pay Attention to what JG?

Your man's chest. How did you miss a new tatoo?

lol... Do you see how dark Ray is? He couldn't even see his tattoo's. LMAO I just so happen to be looking really hard my last trip and saw it. He never told me. I had to find out on my own. All I remember is him telling me he was going to get a tattoo because he didn't have any and has alway's wanted one.
