SunRay I know that's right I sent in so much info the past 3 years worth and 6 months of past earning statements as well. I just wanted to make sure they had more than enough info to approve my case good.gif Of course I lugged all that info to the interview as well star_smile.gif

Girl,

i had a backpack full of syht...Oops! Did I say that? unsure.gif Anyway, they didn't even ask for most of the documents that I took with us. I just gave them all to the woman anyway. I was like, I gather all this ####### and YOU DON'T WANT IT? KISSTEET.... mad.gif

if we get his tax transcript do we still need all them other things
or will the tax transcript provide everything we need?

Bunz I believe the transcript will suffice for the returns but he may need to still need to submit W2's.

Someone else please chime in, I sent the W2 and Tax Returns and never went the Transcript route so I don't want to pass on no false info to mi gya unsure.gif

I wouldn't worry about the age difference to much. I've been and heard about below with over 20 years in age difference get through. That would be my least worry.

Does anyone know how long it takes after the embassy receives your DS-230 to schedule an interview? And second if you have emailed/mailed the copy lets say about 2 to 3 weeks ago, and the embassy schedules a date for you to come to the embassy to pick up the packet, do you think there is a possibility of getting packets 3 and 4 on the same date?

have you called the 202 number? You might already have an interview date because after they receive the DS-230 it really doesn't take them long to set a date. You should call.

mstee it is 202-663-1225 press 1 and then 0

I believe that once the 202# says the embassy has logged in the receipt of your DS-230, they will normally schedule the interview a week or two after that. Once you confirm that they received it and they have logged it in, I would start e-mailing the Kingston e-mail asking if they have scheduled the interview.

I wouldn't worry about packet 3 because the only thing you need out of that is the DS-230 which you already have. I never got packet 3. Packet 4 is the interview letter and medical information and I've only heard of people picking that up when the embassy has mailed it and the person never gets it.

I hope I said this right... lol

I did, those bastids only could tell me that he has a date scheduled on 9/8 to pick up the packet but no one seems to know which friggin packet!!!!

That is crazy...well thank God 9/8 is Tuesday and the mistery will be over.

Well, sheesh I hope that he's not going to pick-up packet 3.

That e-mail for the ebmassy is: kingstonivinfo@state.gov You may have heard already because I've been away for a bit, but in the subject line of all your e-mails to them put 2nd Request. Seems like they only answer to that. lol

GOOD MORNING YARDIES

I NEED UR HELP A FRIEND OF MINE IS ON THE BRINK OF KILLING HERSELF. HER FAMILY CALLS HER ALL SORTS OF NAMES, ILL TREAT HER ETC.... PLEASE HELP ME HELP HER. I HAVE NEVER BEEN IN A SITUATION LIKE THIS WHERE SOMEONE TELLS ME THEY WANT TO END THEIR LIFE AND ITS SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif helpsmilie.gif

Hi, I want to help- I have been through this... If she is depressed and is planning on ending her life, THERE IS HELP, and she is not alone! This is an extremely serious situation. First off, is she in the US? There are 2 National Suicide Prevention Hotlines either you or she can call.

1-800-784-2433 or 1-800-273-8255.

If her family is mistreating her and not supporting her in any way, SHE NEEDS TO GET AWAY FROM THEM. There is free counseling available for her and support groups as well. (Lots of info online) She may need to be put on anti-depressant medication as well.. (I didn't believe in meds for a long time) but they TRULY help.. I know because they've helped me in more ways than you can imagine. I, myself have had to deal with an unsupportive family... I finally learned that what was best for me was NOT to deal with them AT ALL.. I mean, don't get me wrong, I love them all but they are not my friends and I have learned NOT to go to them with ANY type of issues or problems I may be having. Personally, i was suicidal too at one time in my life... These things take time.. Please let her know THERE IS HELP. If there is anything else I can do.. Do not hesitate... PM me ANYTIME. Just keep on her and do not leave her alone..
Make sure you speak with her EVERY DAY, AT LEAST A FEW TIMES A DAY IF YOU CAN. She will get through this with the right help and support. Good Luck baby girl and know she is in my prayers.

Sincerely,

Tina "SpanglasGirl"

1luv I am just seeing this, and to echo what Splanglas girl said there are plenty of resources out there to assist your friend. Are you close by her, is there any way you can go over and be with her to help her get through this time. I am so sorry this is happening to her, you are right this is serious time is of the essence I hope you are able to reach her rose.gif

Hey 1luv,

Sunray be ready you know that is Urban Beach week so on the 25th is going to be PACKED!!!!! Man I loved Urban Beach week still wish I was young enough to go...

Morning All....

There's an age limit? unsure.gif

Well girl normally at Urban Beach Week its the youngens.. The typical age is 18-25. The under 21 crowd is normally in full force because you can stand out on the street and drink you don’t have to go in the club because the parties are mainly on the street. Its packed street to street and you rent cars and ride up and down the street and well last time I went we were at the club and we were up on the tables and couches dancing all crazy and having a ball. I think now if I get up on the table and danced all crazy I would be looked at like oooooooookkkkkkkk she’s having a mid life crisis!!!!

Those were the days walking up and down and up and down the strip in your swim suit during the day and hottest gear at night.. The guys lined the walls and the girls walked the runway. If a guy was interested in you he would grab your wrist. If you liked him too you moved over to chat (you can stop the runway flow and cause a traffic jam) and if you weren’t interested you pulled your wrist back. It was also the thing to take pictures you would ask anyone can I take a pic with you it was also the going thing... O.k. thanks T now you have me going down memory lane....

I'm too old for all that now. I'll leave that to the kiddies. lol I'll be busy laying out and drinking. I need a tan soooo freakin bad.

I have a question, no sure if anyone can answer...

If you're fiance is in another country can they go through the US embassy in that country for their interview?

We talked about this last week. I don't know the answer...so A is headed back to Jamaica in about two weeks. I am actually a little worried now because my DS-230 beat my paper file to the Embassy. They have the electronic file but the paper file is not registered yet. The DS-230 got signed for yesterday @ the Embassy. I pray that I don't have to mail a 2nd copy (and pay another $40.00 US).

Do you think it will be okay since they do have the electronic file? wacko.gif ohmy.gif ph34r.gif blink.gif helpsmilie.gif

I'm gonna say yes cuz we don't want any bad thoughts about it --- but honestly, you just never know.

Where is the praying smilie??? I didn't think I jumped the gun @ first...now I think I should have waited until say this week to send it. I honestly didn't think DHL would deliver so fast. It should have just gotten there today. Oh well...what is to be...will be.

and take a chance on that love. And it doesn't help to have someone come along and say "I told you so!" That's just plain petty and does nothing to open up someone's eyes to the 'dangers' of involving one's self with a Jamaican.

Yup, a Jamaican can will do anything to get here !

blink.gif ...mi ah guh sit back han si where dis ah guh...before mi start!... mad.gif

my response shoulde have been--- Jamaican that will do anything to get here !

shaun i forgot to tell u..ur ring is beautiful !

That's why I said I was just gonna sit back...but I'm REAL curious as the exactly WHAT 'dangers' their are in dating...not to mention (cluch my pearls) marrying a Jamaican man!

I'm sorry as a Jamaican I found this rather insulting. Do I think what Dwayne did to Wakey was JACKED THE PHOCK-UP? HELL YEAH!!! But do I think that can happen in ANY culture and with ANY man!! My first marriage was to an American and he was a pissashyt MF'er, but I don't think there are any 'dangers' in dating an American man!!!

Gill

I agree Gill.... It happens in every single culture out there. Not just that either. There are women out here that treat men like sh!t to now.

Jawi, thanks for being the best big sister a girl could have but no advice you gave would have stopped me from loving this man and taking a chance on love. He destroyed what we could have had and all of the I told you so’s don’t matter one bit to me.

Each person puts on their shoes each day and has to walk their own walk. No matter what is put on this site, people are going to love who they love until the other person proves themselves unworthy.

I shared my story because it’s good for me to get it off my chest and because the other woman brought it to the site. I’m not one who cares about those of you that may be laughing at my misfortune. Even if you think you can predict the outcome of your own live there are areas that will and do open to another path you didn’t expect. That is life. And when life happens to members on this board (good or bad) it is bound to come back around. You can only keep a secret for so long.

wakey.. i am sooo proud of u mama.. u are handling this all w/ the integrity of a queen..

star_smile.gif Thanks. I'm just putting one foot in front of the other today and tomorrow will be a new day.

Your off to the right start Wakey... It's a process and you"ll survive honey.... Keep your head up!

Hey Kimmy, oh yes there is...(laughing), Come with me to the British Virgin Island next week... There is room, booked a 3 bedroom condo, two people backed out.

Kimmy, I agree. I don't have any travel partners plus I would like to experience other islands with Damien. Some of my friends are going to JA next month so I'm thinking about it. It may not happen cuz I wouldn't feel right being there without him.

I wish you would come to Miami dag it! I'm going need for Ray to call him... innocent.gif

What??? Oh Carmita....I'm so sorry. rose.gif Make sure you get all the facts before you make the decision. She may just be causing trouble. You have lots of shoulders and love on here. heart.gif

Thanks ya'll no when confronted he admitted that he'd done it..here in our home...BAST#####!!!. She didn't know he was married. He told her this was his aunt's home and she described my house in detail. I feel so violated. I don't even want to live here anymore but with the housing slup it ain't worth what I bought it for...
