K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	NVC HAS MY NUMBER! IN PROCESS TO CDJ! K-1	Good morning everyone,     I wanted to share some news I just found out.  We were approved and I called the National Visa Center and secured the NVC case number, invoice number, and also beneficiary ID.  We went to the web sites and completed all paperwork and paid the fee.  We have not scheduled the interview or biometric as we have not received the invitation letter.  We fully understand Ciudad Juarez will mail the invitation letter to me (the US citizen) and my fiancee in Mexico City.  Yes we know all about the bad mail service in Mexico and I can email her a copy of the letter when/if I receive it.  We also understand if the letter never comes she can arrive at the consulate's office early one morning and request a copy of the letter.  My fiancee wanted to call the consulate's office just to confirm that fact.  She called yesterday and was told effective last week the consulate will not and does not supply a copy of the invitation letter at their office if you show up.  They told her if the letter never arrives to wait 6 weeks and call their office.  At that point they will mail one more letter to the US citizen and the Mexico citizen's address.  WHAT the blank!  If it does not arrive they will use the same ####### mail service 6 weeks later to mail a new copy.  After waiting for 10 months now this?  I am going to call the consulate's office this morning and will post here what I find.  Stay tuned	JohnE	Male	Mexico	2013-07-03 06:04:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	So my fiance didn't pay her taxes.....	It is always best to contact the IRS and get things correct.  Being an accountant I know all about the IRS and the stories but it looks better if you come clean.  Simply complete your 1040 form (and state return if you live in a state that has state taxes) and call the IRS (and state).  Most times they will work with you to set up a payment plan.  I have seen a number of IRS tax levies in excess of $100,000 and the IRS was going to leave the employee with almost zero net pay.  The employee contacted the IRS and set up a payment plan and a fair amount was deducted from the employee's check which left them with money to live on.  Don't have them come looking for you. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	will CDJ mail K1 visas to US citizen petitioner in US	The only options are DHL locations  in Mexico.  She can wait a few more days in Ciudad Juarez and pick it up at the DHL office there.  It should only take a few days.  Elizabeth had her interview in Ciudad Juarez on Thursday and the sealed package arrived at the DHL office in Mexico City by her house the next Tuesday. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	MY PACKET IS RIPPED A LITTLE!!!!!	I second what Kay said.  You do not want to take the chance to enter the US at your POE and have any problems.  I read a few posts last year where people had the same problem you have and  were able to send the package back to Ciudad Juarez via DHL and received a new sealed package back at their local DHL office within 10 days. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any i-130 approvals lately from NBC	call the usual number. When the rep answers, tell the info she asks and then tell her you need more info and that you need to talk to Tier2. Insists on it and then they will transfer. Bear in mind, the wait time for transfer can be >1 hr. You have an option of call back.   Thanks much. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Any i-130 approvals lately from NBC	HI   I am ew to to visajourney. My husband file i 130 for me in october 2011, and recently he took citizenship (June 2013). We immediately called uscis and upgraded my petition to IR1 category and filed for AOS. I have done the biometrics and waiting for EAD and AP to arrive. My casestatus shows that it is ready for interview scheduling.   My question is how much time it takes for them toschedule a interview. I am looking for jobs and can not even apply since I do not have EAD. I am currently on H1B but I am loosing my current job in september. (Lay off).   Any info is appreciated.
