K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Congressman says we're approved but still no NOA2	Have you tried checking your Case Status in the USCIS Website... ? maybe they updated it there already,NOA2 usually comes a week after they put it in the their system....All you need is the Case Number which is indicated in your NOA1. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	can someone please give me some advice?...or at least calm me down :)	Agree completely with other posters. I had several problems scheduling my interview, and I know that sometimes the embassy system is not up-to-date. For instance, when they receive your case, they may have the case but not have it listed in their system. As long as you have proof on paper with a UID number and date, there is no reason for you to question the interview date. You never would have known it wasn't in the system if you haven't called, and most people wouldn't call since they already had the interview letter, so they would have no reason to turn you away either since you have proof. The system is not always reliable for the updates, but for sure yours will appear in the system soon, and I think what important to the embassy is the print out plus the UID No. As long as you click the right one which is the immigrant then k1 , you will be fine, not everyone who have their print out calls for confirmation and yet they go to their appointment day and time... My U.S fiance just called to say that he received a letter (hard copy) from NVC stating that they have just received our I-129F petition and that they'll be forwarding it to the Malaysian embassy within the week. The THING is, we haven't received any form of NOA2 and USCIS not unsurprisingly, hasn't updated itself (it still says that the last time our petition was touched was 01/25/11. What does this meaaaaaaaan?! Are we approved? I hope it means that! I'm seriously giddy with excitement/fear/confusion/everything!!! Hello i think that you are already approved if NVC sent the hard copy stating that the petition papers will be sent to US Embassy in Malaysia.. But then one for thing to be sure, check the USCIS Website and see if your status there has been approved..... Once u see there its approved then he should call the USCIS and inform them that you dont have the NOA2 yet but received the NVC. also Your fiance can check out their Postal Office... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	ds 160 confirmation receipt?	the fiance of my sister just called a while ago to schedule appointment, then he was asked for the passport number of my sister and ds160 confirmation receipt? i just wanna ask,what do they give u from the bpi bank after u pay the visa fee?she only got a receipt i dont know where is that ds 160? K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Age difference question	My fiance' and I have submitted a K1 visa application. She is from the Phillipines and I am from the US. I have been hearing a little about age difference being an issue with approval. I am 51 and she is 31. I realize this is a 20 year spread, but she is no teenager. I would think that it may be more of an issue if she were younger, say 18-25 and I was 38-45. We are almost 60 days into our wait after NOA1. What do you VJ'es think? Will this be an issue? Thanks. Do not be worried, everything will gonna be fine, just relax, you will not be denied, just make sure that u will be able to have all the proofs that ur relationship is genuine, gather each and every single mails, phone calls, pictures, text mesages if you print, as in everything.. And tell her that as soon as she have her interview all she needs to do is to be honest. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	DS-156 form are no longer accepted by US embassy in Manila	This is what i wrote and got back from the US embassy in Manila thru facebook: Me: Hello, My name Is Jenessa Omadlao with case number MNL2011625113. My concerned is that the DS-156 form could be accepted if it filled out out by hand written? I have a problem filling it out, it won't allow me to continue when i answered in question no: 14(National identification Number) was not applicable and question No:15 in my home address has no apartment or house number coz i lived in a sitio only not in subdivision. The system would just said INCORRECT and it won't allow me to continue. Are the Street address line 1 and Street address line 2 can be the same Address? And the DS-156 was expired on May 31,2011,does that date still accepted? or is there DS-156 form, updated?..please write me back. Thanks and God bless! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Police Clearance in Abu Dhabi	Hi glad you replied did you asked US Embassy Philippines if ok lang na wala kang Police Clearance sa Saudi? makakakuha naman ako ng police clearance sa Abu Dhabi pero matatagalan bago ko makuha tapos ang problema pa nga sa NBI Taft super haba ng pila,sa Robinson's Otis na nga ako kumuha ng NBI Clearance ko bukas ko macclaim, pero eto need ko pa rin pumunta sa Taft para naman sa fingerprinting hays! Oo sis kasi sa robinsons is satellite lang din. Bago na kasi ang system ng NBI, actually yung sa police clearance alam ito ng USembassy, sa pre screener pa lang nung tinanong niya ako kung galing ako saudi, sabi opo, then sabi niya okay di na kita hihingan ng Police Clearance since matagal ka na rin naman wala duon, (7 years na ako wala) Also may roon nga under country Reciprocity, but you can still try getting one, if ever di dumating till your interview date,just tell them the truth.. Police clearance in Some GCC cannot be attained if you are no longer in that country... It has been a month since my petition was approved by USCIS. My question is...I was a former expat for 2 years in South Korea. Before I came home in Philippines last May 2011, I already secured a police clearance in South Korea and the date was April 2011. I was born British. in Dubai. and became a Naturalized Filipino in 2002, a few years after I moved here with my family... This means I have a international British birth certificate... do i still need to go to the NSO? I was not registered under the Philippines when i was born. Help? She noticed that on one of the girls visa there is an annotation that says: P/A LAST NAME, FIRST NAME, MIDDLE NAME One one of the visa's the there is a typo in the annotation. Will this cause a problem? I will call and email the embassy, but, was wondering if anyone else her experienced something like this? Hi, i have the same problem, but as per the US Embassy, is should not worry about this, as long as the name of visa holder is correct... K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	preparing financial stuff for embassy interview...	so many questions, so little time... 1) My employer (an internationally recognized giant, think utility) since the events surrounding 9-11 forbids management from signing anything on company letterhead confirming employment, because we are allowed to enter any building we want, by law, to access our facilities. Our HR Dept. does provide an unsigned form giving the basics, my start date, my annual salary, full time status, etc... Will this suffice? Should I write an explanation to the CO regarding why the form is unsigned? 2) My Income, proven thru 3 years Tax returns, ITR Reports, last years W-2 and recent Pay stubs are my strongest proof of financial reliability, however I am old fashioned regarding banks these days, no direct deposit, every other friday I walk in and cash the paycheck, then deposit in cash the minimal amount needed to pay the household expenses. My Bank Statements look weak on paper, for instance last month: High Balance = $3280 Ending Balance = $24.84 (Doesn't that look bad)? Can I leave out my bank statements altogether, or should I submit an explanation that I prefer to hold cash (and the reasons behind it)? Do I really need a statement signed by a Bank Rep, as read in other posts? Do I really need to submit any statements at all, if so, how many months? Or not worry? 3) the annual salary stated on my Employment/ Salary Verification shows only $ 46k per year (I still meet the minimum requirements) as it does not reflect overtime. In reality, last year I was paid $ 64 k according to my W-2. Should I include a note explaining where all the extra money comes from, the over time? Thanks in advance.., Leo Hello Leo and Rea, you should not worry, everything is fine... if your income reached the poverty level of 125% for two people then you are very much fine... Just send W2 and ITR for 2008,2009 and 2010. no need for any bank statement etc.... What the embassy is really looking for is the W2 and ITR, they are very much satisfied with these papers.. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Engagement Ring at Interview	I have read several threads saying that wearing an engagement ring during the interview is not required. In my case, I bought the ring during my visit, my fiancee picked it out. I just submitted the initial I-129F package and I included the engagement ring receipt as proof of ongoing relationship. I never found the right time to give her the ring and brought it back home with me. The first time a stone fell out, then the place I chose, she did not like, etc. Now she is worried about the interview without the ring. I was going to wait until she was approved and came here before I gave it to her. Currently, she wears a promise ring that I gave her when I arrived. Should I just mail her the engagement ring? The ring is not necessary during the interview, they are actually satisfied with the photos and some proof of conversation and most importantly is the income status of the the one petitioning. SO do not worry about it, i think the receipt is more than enough proof, the Consul knew already that engagement sometimes happened in the US as soon as the fiancee arrived. When I do the Fiancee intent again who do I put it out to the Manila Embassy or someone else? Does anyone else have some helpful info to help us out. I know it's a pain in the butt with her getting the nbi and the cenomar and all that stuff. She paid the visa fee and I know I'm waiting to set her interview until she gets most of the stuff so she's prepared. It seems overwhelming and I just don't want to miss anything. So if anyone could help with advice I'd greatly appreciate it.
