IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Approval notice has arrived. To God be the glory!	Yes, God is a gracious God, without doubt.  HE rewards our prayers, I have no doubt.  To me, you are through the very hard part, but "pitfalls" loom ahead, and just pray you do not fall into any of them, I will give you some of the things me and my wife from Cebu had to overcome, just to give you a "heads up" on what to look for. -  Yes, you need that passport ASAP. -  It will vary on how long it takes NVC to get your case, but start calling next week, to get your MNL number - When you get that number the next thing you want is your ""hard copy"" which is required to schedule the interview. - Medical is first come first serve at St/ Luke's, (my wife was in line at 2:00 a.m.) - Hope and pray to God you do not fall into the "Sputum Fiasco"" in which they will delay you nearly 3 months, because ""THEY, DOCTORS"" do not like your chest x-ray, at least for my wife, it happened, and we had already had a chest x-ray from an independent clinic.,.,.,before she went to St. Luke's..,.., NO reason at all. - The CFO, at least for us was not 4 hours, but almost 9 and 1/2 hours, and she went to the CFO in Cebu, and was in line at 3:00 a.m., as they only take the first 20-30 in line for CFO.  They will install  CFO in your passport. - The CFO DOES NOT take copies of anything, such as NSO birth certificates, baptismal etc.,,,must be originals.   I am sure I missed a few things, but the experts here(not me) can give you the info. you need.  I am just trying to give you an idea of what to expect.   Our NOA 2 was Dec. 31, (yes New Years Eve) and her POE was not until April 24, I hope you keep you hopes high, try not to make any mistakes, do you research, and be prepared for the un-expected, but by God's will within a few weeks, to maybe a month or 2 you will arrive where you want to go, God be with you and your loved one!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2013-12-05 00:39:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Filed i-130 Been 2 months 21 days	I agree, always try to keep your timeline filled in so members can help you with more information.   I would suggest you log onto this site several times a week, and read and learn, all you can!   These people are experts!   My "humble opinion" is that you will not be finished this time next year, give or take a month or so!  Your NOA 2 will take 10-12 months, then NVC.,.,.,just read, learn all you can about the process, on this site!   IF, I may ask.,.,.,.,why did you go the I-130, instead of the K-1 visa, which is "usually done in less than 8 months.,.,..,.,.?????????????????   I see so many people on this site going through the I-130, because they do  not know that an K-1 visa is sometimes, 1/2 the time!!!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2013-12-22 01:45:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Filled for I-130 . Wondering about some stuff . Plz enter(k3-cr1)	Forget K-3.,..it is obselete.   This is not 2013, but for one more day, and the "path" you have chosen, the I-130 will be at least 10-16 months, unless you would get extremely lucky.   There are members here that disagree with me, but why in the world did you not go the K-1 visa, and be done in about 6 months, then  do the AOS, which is not bad, and not go through this long difficult process of the I-130..,....,.,   What happened to you friend is ancient history as far as USCIS, but I can read the approval rates here for I-130.,..,.,and it seems to get longer, and longer.,.,.,   WHY NOT,.,.., a K-1 visa, and marry here, in 1/2 the time?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????	raven52	Male	Philippines	2013-12-31 02:41:00

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Inhumane	I feel the pain I felt almost one year ago today, of being told that she had failed her chest x-ray at St. Luke's in Manila, and had to undego go 9 weeks of the "sputum" fiasco.,.,.I know the pain.,.but we got through it, and 10 months and 4 days she P.O.E.,.,., Alanta. Did any of the the members on this site consider K-1 visa, as in ""general"" it is 1/2 the time. Just a thought. Circumstances prevail, and you each have to do what is best for you, at your time, to file a visa. When this gets fixed is when the USA adopts term limits on both branches of congress, so that after two terms we have fresh minds in congress, this thing of ""carear"" politions in Washington, is sickening, as we do elect a president every 4 years! Why are we stuck with the same ""fat cats"" and law makers that are allowed to be "rubber stamped" there for 20, 30, even 40 years.,.,.,.,until WE the people, make change in Washington, and stop this madness going on in USCIS.,.,.,.it is what it is! I talked to a friend that brought his wife from Cebu, Philippines like I did, and as little as 7 years ago, it was a 2-3 month process.,.,.,no traps, little to no paperwork.,.., but we have let our politicians build this, that we have to deal with! I just wonnder if the USCIS was in this big of a mess, before 2008, I have talked to so many people approved with all kinds of visa, K-1, I-130 etc..,...,in 2-4 months, some even less, has the ""gridlock"" in congress caused this? I assume you have passed the medical, and if so..,.way to go!  Would not want to see anybody get caught up in the "Sputum fiasco" that St. Luke's is famous for, as on certain weeks the doctors seem to find "suspicious" on 30 to 50% of X-rays.  My wife is from Cebu, she was "suspicious" and I  had sent her to an indepenent clinic, for a chest X-ray, a few weeks before, and was read as "clear"..,.,then St. Luke's.,.,.,saw,.,.,.  draw your own conclusions.,.,..,   Anyway, a big congrats to a job well done.,,..Filipino wives are great!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2014-05-06 00:27:00
