K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Possible denials - curious	Hah,   We know about the """FIASCO""" at St. Luke's Medical.,.,.,,.called a "suspicious"  X-Ray,  it is just a scam.,.,.,.as "I know for a fact that the doctors are told on certain weeks, to find X-rays, "suspicious" and for what reason, I have no idea.  I cannot reveal my source as it  is a "visa company" very familiar with there tactics.   My wife was caught up in this.,.,.,BUT the week before her medical, I sent her to the largest, most competent X-ray clinic in Cebu city for a chest X-ray.,,..,.,.,IT WAS TOTALLY CLEAR.,.,.,.,.,.and one week later the last of 3 doctors viewing her film, ruled suspicious, causing us nearly 3 months, delay.,.,.,.,.,.and OF COURSE.,.,the sputum specimen came back totally normal!!!   One thing I will say, is they know when you have been delayed by this ""FIASCO"".,.,.,and her interview was scheduled at her convenience and her interview was "show me some pictures!!!   Great people, but such a corrupt government.,.,.no one nicer than the Filipino people!.	raven52	Male	Philippines	2014-10-11 01:19:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	US immigration when entering the US	There are two lines for immigrants, one for K-1 visa's.,.,.and about 10-12 in Atlanta, for other foreign travelers.   I brought my wife here with her K-1 as I got lucky and timed her visa arrival on time.,.,.we even had a chance to go to Mindanao, to see her family before we flew to Atlanta, from Cebu.    We were treated about as badly as you can think of, getting through US Immigration with her un-opened envelope in perfect shape, and there was only two ladies there my now wife.,,.,...,.,and 1 other.,..,and we were there over an hour.,.,,..,almost missed out connecting flight to Columbia, SC.,.,.,.,.,our luggage was the only ones left on the carousel, and the two agents were just having a good time..,..,laughing and talking.,.,.,could not hear what was said.,..,.,but you can tell when you are being.,.,.,.,detained unnecessarily .,.,,., it was really bad..,.,.and maybe every 15-20 minutes they would call my wife for something.,.,.,other times it was "fun and games".,.,.,.hope no one gets these agents, was no doubt deliberate.   Ning had an excellent answer.,..,.,.but be ready for anything, until you are on the final flight to your destination, or are leaving the airport in a car!   Anything!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2014-10-09 00:40:00

He was married July or August of 2012.  He will not file K-1 before Sept. 2014, for the 2nd wife.  The wife he is divorcing, did get her 2 yr. GC..,,,.she has gone back to the Phils..,.,.,and she signed all necessary paperwork for the divorce to be ended, especially, ADMITTING ADULTRY.,.,,.,this is a huge deal in South Carolina.  I see no way she could ever come back to the US. Zedayn and Steve and Song Sang,   I would like to thank both of you for your fair, and honest posts!  I know you read some of the others who just did not understand my friend has been separated nearly a year from his to be ex-wife.    He has had time to heal, think of his life, and what he wants to do, and he wants a Filipino wife, just as I have and both our our friends, Steve has.   This is far from a rebound situation, far from it,..,.,.and he is really taking his time with this new lady.,.,.,.,but a visit is necessary ""to see"".,..,is there any "connection".,.,.,without spending time together.,.,.,.no one would know.   He WAS married to an immature "airhead for sure!  She thought she was the next American Idol, or the next model on the cover of a magazine.,,..,you whould know what he put up with!  It was awful.   So, his friends support his efforts 100%.   WHAT KIND OF WAIVER,.,.,.,.,might be needed to file a   I-129, after a divorce is final.   South Carolina laws, you must be totally separated one year, and she has admitted to adulty in the divorce petition.,.,.,,.so they will have been separated by a year.,.,.and has admitted adultry, and signed the sworn statement, what more could USCIS ask for!  A cover letter will be on the divorce decree, written by probably me.,..,to explain why a new filing so quick after the divorce.,.,.,.,.but it is not quick in times of them being separated, and the signed, documented reason for ddivorce!   Again, thanks a bunch for you kind, thoughtful comments, and very accurate ones!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2014-05-31 23:02:00

Hello, fellow VJers, and I will try to explain this in as few words as possible, as I am a mere novie on this site, but I retain all the knowledge I can, reading the site.   My very good friend, who took me to the Philippines the first time, has had his marriage to a Filipino come to an end.  Thankfully, my wife and I have a wonderful marriage, so I feel I owe him so much that I would try to get the correct answers, so here goes!   - Married about 1 year here in the USA, she left him and went back to Cebu last week of August 2013.   - She stayed gone and did not come back to the USA until April 30th 2014, at which time they did not co-habitate under one roof, or spend a night together, as it was widely know she took her maiden name back, left the Phils. to go to China with a man from Austria.  All of this has been admitted.   - She signed a no-contest divorce in front of witneses, (notarized) and before a respected attorney here in South Carolina.  That date was May 10 of this year.   - In the legal paperwork in the divorce, she admitted to multiple acts of adultry, and leaving her husband for an extended period of time.   - In the state of South Carolina you must be living apart 1 year and agree to all terms between the two parties, and the judge will sign the divorce.  If adultry can be proved (in this case, was sworn to by the to be ex-wife) a divorce can be granted in 90 days, that is being pursued at this time.   - So, she left her husband last week of August 2013, came back, picked up remaining belongs, and left again, May 2014.   - Now the questions, I know the number 1 thing for a K-1 is "Free to marry".,.,.,so when can my friend put dates on his application?  Probably the day the divorce is signed by the judge.  Or, can a different date be used, due to the circumstances.   - My friend has been communicating with another woman in Cebu, for a few weeks, and he plans to travel there the first week of August for the ""face to face meeting"".,.,meeting the family, pictures, and just proving a strong relationship.    - The same visa company that did my paper work in Cebu will prepare his K-1 visa packet, just as they did mine.  CAN THEY DATE IT, or will he have to bring the packet back to the USA and wait until he has a final divorce decree?    - This is the biggest concern, when can he date the K-1 if he travels there in early August, and returns mid-to late August, which will be time for his divorce to be final, AFTER he establishes his relationship with the lady that both of them seem to be ready to do?   Please, I owe this man so much, and advice would be so much appreciated!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2014-05-29 23:15:00

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	Leaving US temporarily	Yes, K-1 is the way to go!  NO DOUBT!   But after marriage my wife was 70 days until she got EAD/AP.,..,.,.AP allows you to travel outside   the US.,.,.,but.,.it "guarentees no return.,.,though most of time you can get back in.,.,..,but wait a month or so and you will have a 2 yr. You are so lucky on your waiting, my wife came from Cebu, Philippines.  I traveled there 6 times after we met and were engaged, because I could not stay away from her.  It took 10 months and 4 days from NOA1 to P.O.E. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	sent to window 70 FDU on K1 interveiw	Good luck OP, I think you are a straight up guy, and has admitted the wrongs of his life and corrected them, and my thoughts and prayers are with you.     As for age, I am 36 years older than my Filipino wife, and a friend of mine who took me to the Phils. with him to see if I had any interests there, and I did.   By the way he is about 58-59 and his wife is 19, they do fine, no problems.,.,.who knows what the future holds for any of us, but right now it is great, best of luck to you.   I agree with other posts, it is probably the SECOND Filipino wife that is holding you up!  Explore that for sure, again, good luck, let us all know how things come out, my wife came from Cebu, I went there 8 times before I got her to the USA!   Persistence! But NEVER, EVER buy an airline ticket until you have your visa ""IN YOUR HANDS"" I am afraid you have made a terrible mistake, but in my opinion, you will have to re-book your flight, no way to get a visa that quick after approval! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	After 10 months and no NOA 2 *Lost Files*	I have talked to friends who married Filipino's as I did, this K-1 visa used to be a 2-4 month process, with little to no problems.   But, now.,., just look what is going on in this country, ""IF YOU WANT YOUR HEALTH CARE PLAN, YOU CAN KEEP IT!""  IF YOU LIKE YOUR DOCTOR, YOU CAN KEEP IT""!  As we know now, this was totally incorrect, and mis-leading!   This is just an example of what we are dealing with in the USA government.  I am not advocating politics here, it IS THE GOVERNMENT WE ARE LIVNG UNDER, WE ARE BEING LIED TO, DECEIVED, TREATED UN-FAIRLY, AND PETITIONS ARE NOT BEING PROCESSED IN THE ORDER THEY ARE RECEIVED!   This is not a political statement, it is how un-fair and inept the federal government is, with way too many regulations!   Just one man's opinion!	raven52	Male	Philippines	2013-11-28 01:55:00
K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	dont want to wait another 4 or 5 months	PLEASE DO NOT GIVE UP!  Me and my Filipino wife thought we were "home free" then the physical at St. Luke's and two doctors say X-ray fine and last say 'suspicious' so she failed  and had to endure the 10 weeks of "Sputum" exam,..,., but we remained strong, and got through it, and it was worth it, STAY STRONG, AND DREAM OF THE FUTURE, I was ready to give up but loved my wife too much, so we made it, """HANG IN THERE, YOU CAN DO IT!!!!  WE lost almost 3 months, with the whim of one probably, paid off doctor!  They fail so many a week at St. Luke's each week, (mandatory?????)	raven52	Male	Philippines	2013-10-03 00:08:00
