Middle East and North AfricaAbu Dhabi Embassy Interview

Hi noboundaries,

Sorry for the late reply. My fiance received an email from NVC stating that the petition was approved on April 30, 2013. He received the hard copy of the confirmation 3 days after I think. Then on June 3, 2013, he received an email from the US Embassy in Abu dhabi informing him of my appointment details... we thought I will be receiving a packet/package the way I read about the blogs, but that email was already the appointment letter stating all the instructions that we have to prepare and bring to the Embassy during the interview smile.png

Thanks! I'm really nervous! I hope everything will turn out well and approve smile.png

Good luck to you too & God bless!

thank you. no worries, all will be fine.

Good luck :)

keep updating and share with us. ;)

God is great.   God bless!

Middle East and North AfricaAbu Dhabi Embassy Interview

Hi guys!

I'm a new member of this site & I still don't know how to post a topic no0pb.gif

I have a question for recent Abu Dhabi applicants, I am scheduled for interview on 4th Sept. 2013... I just would like to ask, once visa is approved, how many days did it take before you received your passport with visa? I'm thinking of submitting my resignation letter immediately right after my visa is approved(im just attracting positive energy wink.png ) because I need to give my employer 30days notice before effectivity of resignation... I just hope that if ever, I will receive my passport few before last day here in UAE.

Thanks a lot!

will have to learn more about this site smile.png

wait for your packet 3 and 4 emailed by US Embassy Abu-dhabi.

we got our packet 3 and 4 (instructions and appointment) took 4 days after embassy received our case.

no worries soon you'll get it too if not on Sunday maybe in the next few more days.

K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & ProceduresK-1 visa flowchart

No, those people are wrong....but if you wait too long to near the expiration of the I-94 visa then they'll have to wait for the CG.

After you are married up to two weeks before your I-94 expiration you are able to change your name on your SSN.  If you miss that deadline you do not need your AOS (GC) to be completed.  You can use the combination of your marriage license and your EAD (usually received before GC during the AOS process) to change the last name on your SSN to your married name.  Sometimes an EAD is approved and delivered months before your GC as is the case with my wife.  She is not yet approved for her GC but received her EAD and new SSN over a month ago.
