K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Philippine Medical Interview at St. Lukes Medical Center??	piece of advice, so long your fiance is not a smoker and she has no family history of TB; she should be okay...   i just had my exam last monday and I was so stressed about this; until the nurse in my work place brief me about it.   It's not only smokers who get "spots" or "haziness" in the lungs.  Even those who doesn't smoke nor have history of TB may get a "suspicious" xray.   I know someone (non-smoker/no TB history) who had a chest xray from a hospital and it shows up "clear" but when she had the xray at SLEC, the result was "hazy" so she was subjected to do the sputum exam. K1 DS-160	Before this K1 application, I have applied for US Tourist Visa twice (Year 2009, for holiday and year 2011 to visit my grandmother who was terminally ill.) Both tourist visa applications were denied. For the question, " Have you ever been refused a US Visa, or been refused admission to the United States, or withdrawn your application for admission at the port of entry?"- should I answer Yes or No? If yes, what details do i need to put in the "explain" box? Thanks for your help! :-) I said yes to having been denied a US visa. Mine was a work visa of sorts. For the details section, I put the month and year I applied only, cause I can't remember the exact date. I wrote one sentence that went like this. "I applied for a (visa type), a requirement to work on a cruise ship off a US port, and was denied the visa February 20** due to not having sufficient ties to return to the Philippines." What will it be like once the US finally allows gays to petition? I know the Phil isn't very pro-gay, but it's a US embassy - do you predict many issues? I'm Filipino but I'm not going to interview in the Philippines because I am living with my husband in Japan and will interview here instead. I read that you said same sex Canadian couples don't have any issues with CFO seminars? That's a very great sign then! The Philippines has quite conservative views on same sex marriage, divorce, contraception, and abortion. However, I believe your only dealings with the Phil government will be with paperwork. Thankfully, documents (like the NBI clearance) don't ask at all about gender, so the likelihood of your fiance being discriminated against seems zero. I don't understand why a Filipino consul is said to be a hindrance to the process. First of all, whether American or Fil-American, these consuls have an allegiance to uphold US immigration policies. If the DOMA repeal will happen and TIm & Keno can apply for K-1, the consulate shouldn't be concerned with what the Filipino opinion is and only making sure that the petitioner & beneficiary meet all the legal requirements.	ivyanddan	Female	Japan	2013-01-07 03:02:00
