IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	CR-1 Visa	The "condition" is that it is a temporary 2 year green card. 2 years after entry you can remove the conditional status and you will get a 10 year green card. Other than that there is really no limitation. Basically it is saying that since you have been married less than 2 years Immigrations wants to check up on you after a couple of years to make sure everything is on the up and up. But as a Panamanian registered ship crimes aboard ship are subject to Panamanian laws. Since she lived aboard ship she could be viewed as residing in Panama. IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures	Plice Clearance for ship based employment	We are planning to apply for CR1 this fall. I'm getting my ducks in order and got to wondering about police clearance. My wife worked on a cruise ship based with home port in the U.K. for several months. She was not allowed to leave the ship in the U.K. because they wouldn't give her a proper visa. To confuse the matter the ship is registered in Panama which she has never visited. Your green card holder-GF can file an F2A petition for you after you get married. Waiting time is atleast 2 YEARS. This beats having to wait for her to qualify for citizenship. I've heard different answers to this...but I'd like to know for sure. Will I have to return to DR to be with my fiancé when he gets his cita? No, its not mandatory for the US citizen petitioner to be present at the K1 embassy interview. Majority of applicants get approved on their own, regardless of category. K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports	Questions about timing of Fee Payment and Interview - Manila Embassy	Surely, you can choose your interview date.   SLEC is on a first come, first served basis.  They don't schedule the medical exam (you don't need to make an appointment with them), however, a passport is required when doing the medical exam.
