October I-130 approvals!!! Onward to NVC!!!

Congratulations to all of us who has been approved this Oct. I called NVC today and spoke with a rep. I got our NVC Case number but accdg to her the Invoice Identification Number is going to be sent to the petitioner and beneficiary by mail and she said something like "it will take 3-4 weeks to process..." i didnt catch it exactly. generally how long should it take (after the approval) for them to generate the DS3032 and AOS? and to get the IIN?

NOA1 - March 6
Transferred to CSC - Aug 26
Touched - Sept 11
Approved - Oct 17

Others might get an RFE for a misspelled BC name that doesn't match passport name. Just make sure your visa is issued to your correct name (as shown in your passport). Later you can have your BC corrected legally. There's a procedure for that.

Hi there! I think you can ask the doctor who gave your daughter a vaccine for a letter saying that she has already had a vaccine of some sort. Or if you have a baby book where the doctor logs in your daughter's monthly vaccine, you can present it to them. =)
Anyway, I also have a question about police clearance. Do you need police clearance for the other places you live in (for ex. in the province) or would the NBI suffice the requirement for police clearance. Thanks a lot for your inputs! An RFE is a "request for evidence". When they want something from you, you'll receive an "RFE"

Read this. Maybe it will shed some light on things for you and answer soem questions for you.

hello everyone!

I just wanna ask if anyone knew what is IR checklist documents?coz i have it likewise with a copy of sheet of paper with my case number and barcode and i needed to return to NH with some documents but no names of document stated.

is this the coversheet of DS-230?what is a RFE?

ps. we did send the feebill back to MO last Dec. 4, 2006.

The documents that are required to be submited with the DS230 varies depending on the country. Some countries it is just the bio page of the passport. I'm not sure about the Phillipines, sorry. I know I have seen this question asked recently, but probably your best bet is to check in with the forum for the Phillipines.

I just wish I could get an answer on my question. But the bad part is that if I need the form that I am unsure on, then I will be delayed an entire month in doing so. I was ready to send our papers tomorrow morning, and we would be done at NVC, but nowhere does it say exactly what papers are needed just because the Philippines are like their own world, and different fdrom every single other country in the world...go figure.

Click on the appropriate link for what is required. If the top link does not apply to the country of the applicant/beneficiary, then you are only required to submit part I along with a photocopy of the biographics page of the passport

I used james short cuts and it worked for me. you can use the downloaded ds 230, but you also need a barcode sheet and others. so go to NVC section of this forum and check the details

Does anyone knows how long i can get that?

as you all know our petition is on its 363 days since filed..so i am pretty much excited with the updates and having my medical exam soon and the interview as well....

Just so you know, My DS-230 was sent and from mailing took 16 days to arrive, so yours should be soon.
In them receiving my instruction Packet (DS-230) They e-mailed me with a reply thru NVCInquiry.
In the Inquiry reply, it say that the packet will be reviewed and a decision made in 2 to 4 weeks.
Today is day 18, and I still don't believe everything they say. So i am giving them atleast till the end of January so as not to be too upset if the date is not sooner.
According to the time lines for those who have chose to update, which I wish more would so we could actually have an idea of actual dates closer to reality.
But for those who choose not to, only result in helping no one.
But as they are as of this month, the average wait for interview in the Phil's is around 110 days from arrival at embassy.
Hope this helps give you an idea and as up to date as we can hope for at the moment.

Hi randynrose! i have received my DS-230 after 19 days it's generated. and i am sending it back on friday and yes i am aware now of 2-4 weeks before its completed.As for me, i just keep my fate that..everything will end accordingly even it's kinda slow when the times comes it arrives in USE manila.
And the processing i believe is for case to case basis depends on the visa category. In my case, i fall to IR1 visa once it's case completed ..it's a priority and would fall to a fast lane processing..i just hope it's all true.

hi BOO. oh im glad to know you are from Pasig. By february we might go there in pasig. Im from cebu. I really hope that i ll get the phacket soon. I have everything prepared,except for my police clearance. I asked louiejane 2903 if she sent NBI only or police clearance and NBI and she said she will send both. What about you? did you already file for your NBI? will you also send both? My problem is: i worked overseas for two years and i know they will ask for my police clearance during those time. I have one, but i got it on 2004. I dont know if they will honor that. If not then ill just get a new one when i go there in manila.

as for the appointment for interview and medical..some get lucky..in less than 2 months they got a letter from the embassy. and some are bound to wait much longer ...i already prepare myself for the worse: (maybe up to six months.. ) its really case to case basis...

during my sister's time(2001) : it took them only 6 months from the submission of the I-130 to the release of the spouse visa. Back then the flow of the processing isnt this slow and complicated.

im praying that everything will really go smoothly with our visa processing guys! Goodluck!

for your police clearance..i think just get your police clearance coz based on the intructional packet

"if the applicant is living in their country of nationality at their current residence for more than 6 months"
or
"lived in a different part of the country of nationality for more than 6 months should get the clearance from the police authorities in that locality"

or

"lived in different country for more than 12 months should get the police clearance in that locality"

In your case, if you're in CEBU for the last 6 months maybe its right to get the clearance in your locality.

Well, regarding the slow processing its because of the 9/11 incidents..everything changes after that...we just have to admit the aftermath and face the worst effect...anywho..hardwork and patience always pay off. :thumbs:

PS. validity of Police clearance is just 6 months here in the PHILS in any locality. :huh:

hi louiejane2903.im happy for you. im waiting for my DS-230. I called the NVC and they said that they already sent the said Phacket . in my calculation i should be getting it by now but i guess there is delay in the delivery of mails because of the holidays. I also have the same question as yours. As what ive observed in other's cases , after the submission of the DS-230 it usually takes like a month or two for them to review and check everything , before they will forward the case to the US embassy in the country you are in. as in our case ( as we live in the philippines), it will be in the US embassy in manila. when the case is already in manila they will send an appointment letter as to when is the medical and interview gonna be. Some got appointment letter within 2 months some even up to 4 months or even longer than that ...and that i wonder how they will assess each case ....

Hello there! in my case it took 19 days for us before we get the actual packet ...when we called NVC they said they'd sent it DEC. 22 but we received it JAN. 5 and it's stamped JAN. 3 ..meaning the packet passed through a certain process before it reaches the post office. Since my agent is just next to NH so that's a lot of delay.But it's ok at least we got it. don't worry it will arrive soon. Let's just pray that we can have our medical and interview as early as possible.

I am just happy to share my good news of receiving the DS-230(Instructional packet)after 19 days of waiting...i'll send this back to NVC on MONDAY thru special courier.

Does anyone knows how long will take before the case is completed?I'm so excited for my medical and so as the interview but also tensed.

My husband still going to call NVC for a concrete answer about the box on the upper left corner of the first page of DS-230 part I..what's this box for? My hubbie believes that it's for a certain stamp that NVC would marked as they finished it and case completed but still he needs to call for confirmation.

I'll keep you guys updated about this thing. :rolleyes:

PS. I misuderstood that box..so i came of an idea that it's for a space designated for VISA photo ID..sorry about that... :lol:

what to expect during interview?

hi everyone! does anyone here has a IR visa interview experience ? i hope you don't mind sharing coz it would be a great help to us and to me as well.....

by the way, i have here my list of supporting evidences..i'm just wondering if there's still missing...i am open with comments ang opinions too.

Supporting evidences:

1. wedding pictures.
- i printed out 5 copies each from the ceremony to the reception.
2. Hubby's bday celebration here in the PHILS. (first time as a couple).
3. Some pictures from our vacation.
- taken over a period of time from local and internation travel.
4. Money transfer receipts.
- complete each month of the year from 2003- present.
5. airline and bus tickets.
6. hotel vouchers and receipts.
7. Hubby's flights iteneraries.
- last 3 visits.
8. greeting cards.
- cards from online gifts delivered and some like valentine's card etc.
9. 3 copies of emails and chat logs.
- i printed out chat logs a copy each month of the year from 2005- till present.
10. phonecards- but that's alot so i might bring some of it.

woah....i guess these are all enough to establish my relationship and these are only stuff i can present as well...

Ps. i organiized everything in a clearbook accordingly. :dance:

it happened to us as well. when we called the NVC, the operator said that they sent the packet on dec 24, 2006. My agent didn't get the packet till january 16.. almost 1 month. I was beginning to think that it might have been lost along the way.But thank God my agent finally got it.

Urgent need neld! checklist Letter Response?

hi boo! we had the same reaction as i received that checklist letter response, you're gonna received it once your DS-230 has been delayed..i mean you haven't received it yet. I just ignore it..until now have my copy of it.. but i just keep it. anywho, i have submitted all the required docs wid the DS-230 forms part I & II.

but to be sure..u can call NVC..and i did also before but they said ignore it and the application is on its way..

PS. when you receive your DS-230 packet..there's a separate barcode sheet attachment as a frontpage when submitting all the required docs.

My wife's interview in Manila is March 28th and as of now STLL nothing, no letter, no packet, absolutely NOTHING has been received by her, me or our attorney.

Just letting you know what to expect. My wife has been to the embassy and was told if it gets to within one week and still no letter then she can come back and they will get it for her then.

In my case i am the choice of agent so im the one,,,, it usually takes 15 days before i get it (snail mail) always works that way for me.. Well just in case in that period of time and havent receive the packet yet.. they said just let them informed if that happens they will re send it again but this time with husband address and he will mail to me overnight..Goodluck to all of us.. Just letting you know what to expect. My wife has been to the embassy and was told if it gets to within one week and still no letter then she can come back and they will get it for her then.

Boo and Filipinawife,

When my husband called NVC last thursday...he was told that the letter or Packet 4 was sent 2 days ago it means march 13, 2007...my hubby is my agent so i guess he will be the one that's going to receive it..i just need the case completion letter and i'm good to go for medical w/o the packet yet. I can call SLEC that i am going to pick up my packet either.

i hope i'll receive it soon...and i'll ask you guys to please update me with your packet thing since i am scheduled a little early than your both interview dates.

ok louiejane and filipinawife let us just hope that we will receive our packet4 next week? did you try call nvc ask when did they sent your packet4? said mine was mailed feb28 so by next week it will be here... Ok we will meet in slec..Goodluck and Godbless us all!!!
