this is such a sad news...and clearly stated that everything was planned by ur lezbo wifey. I am a Filipina but i strongly believed that u have to do something her to be deported since it's a clear fraud and marry u just for convenienece...a total scammer. Since she still needs to lift her condition months from now..u still have a chance to barge her from getting the permanent residency.

Don't let her ruin ur life again. I guess ur a good guy deserves not to be treated like that.

Goodluck to u my friend and i am so glad that ur still not traumatized upon marrying another filipina.

God bless.

Okay, this is for sure off topic here. but, Made my journey through this room, so I decide I would share what facts my investigative work has brought forth into evidence this week. As most of you know, I was married in the Philippines on December 29, 2005, well my wife arrived here in the USA on February 7, 2007. She had daily problems with homesickness and seemed to never be happy regardless. She left for a bike ride on the moring of April 6 and has never returned since. At first I was worried and heart broken, then I decided to do some investigating last week. Here is a copy of the letter that I sent to someone that I have been talking to by PM on a regular basis. He asked for an update, so here it is:

You won't believe this. I was contacted by a lifelong friend of my wife's that said she felt compelled to tell me what was going on. I seems that my wife is a lesbian. It is a well known fact in the community that she grew up in that she is. The cousin she refers to, is not her cousin, but her lover. Her cousin aka lover is awaiting her interview now, as she is married to a man in Arizona. I whole-heartedly believe this was a 100% scam for the two of them to be together in the USA. I know from what my wife said that her cousin/lover had no intentions of staying with her husband once she received greencard. Little did I know that the same was being done to me. I am almost 100% positive that my wife is in the USA still. Through online research, I found her picture posted on a website looking for other females in my city. The date it was posted was two days after she left, she also said she is single on this site. I found a couple pictures of naked women in her computer as well. This whole thing I believe was pre-meditated by her. I also know for fact that the cousin/lover has been living with her for over 3 years. I also know that my wifes family knows she is lesbian 100%. I never even thought she could be this way, what a con-artist. In fact, the whole family participated in this scam from the Mother to sisters. Now, I am faced with the loss of many thousands of dollars on her, her family, etc. I spent a lot of hard earned money on these people so they could have air-conditioning, new furniture, appliances, electronics, 2 new Honda motorcycles and not to mention home repairs and spending money. It makes me feel like fool, but it also pisses me off. I put my heart on the line and 19 months of my life flying back and forth during the waiting. She even clipped me for a top notch wedding for 500 people. I don't want vengeance, but I don't want her to be allowed to remain in the USA. I had not applied for her AOS and I am glad of that. I sure as hell would like to see her deported! I am even contemplating calling the man in Arizona and telling him these facts. Now, I have to find out how to get a divorce from her and I guess I will never be able to marry another Filipina, as I was married in the Philippines. Can you believe this? Now we see why the Manila embassy is so strict. I am sure this is just one example. Thanks for listening.

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsWrong name on Visa

I had the same situation.  I applied for SS and when the SS employee checked my record in their system, my middle name is included in my first name.  I guess that's how CBP encoded it at POE. rolleyes.gif

Anyway, aside from my passport and visa, he asked to see other proof of identification.  I gave him my original NSO birth certificate and NSO marriage certificate (because I'm already using my married name).  He photocopied the docs and gave the original back.  He said something like DHS should correct my name on the system and it could take a month before I get my SS number/card.

I hope it comes sooner. eb0dfafc.gif

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsMarriage in the Philippines? I-130 petition...

My fiance and I want to get married in the Philippines because of our family there. However, I've heard from a friend that it can take 2-3 years before my fiance will be able to move here (USA). I've been looking at the processing times and I saw it was an average of 171 days, but I'd like to know from your guys experience currently how your petitions have been coming along..are they being processed fairly quick? Could it really take 2-3 years? My husband and I are planning on getting married April-May..and I'm hoping to send in the petition by May-June..

Baring any problems, which hopefully we won't have any..what is the timeline I should expect? For any of you guys that have used the I-130 recently, please help..thank you guys in advance! smile.png

For spouses of US citizens, it will take more or less a year before your spouse can immigrate. good.gif (This is your route!)

For spouses of LPR/green card holders, it will take a year or more depending on the movement of priority dates on the visa bulletin.

You can sign on the scanned/printed copy.  What's important is it has your original hand-written signature.

Double-check the details on the g325a too.  Better to send 2 copies, in case it gets lost in the mail en route to USCIS, at least your husband has another signed g325a on-hand. ;)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress Reports(Original/certified) civil documents not returned at Visa interview

It's highly unlikely that the embassy or CBP will return the original civil documents to you because everything that's in the visa packet will be filed in USCIS/DHS storage someplace.

So before flying to the US make sure you have fresh original copies of your docs like birth certificate, marriage certificate etc just to be sure.

In my experience, my SS card didn't automatically come thru mail although I answered such on the DS230/DS260 so I had to personally go to the SSA office to apply.  The SS officer asked to see my original NSO BC and NSO MC, although they didn't take it, they made photocopies of it.

The IV package consists of the beneficiary's birth certificate, marriage certificate, divorce/annulment decree (if applicable), police certificate, photocopy of passport bio page and visa photos.

The IV package should be mailed to NVC right after paying the immigrant visa fee ($230).

Sorry you are going through this.

Your timeline indicates your embassy is Philippines... also you should have reacted faster in my sense as your case number MNL***** already indicates Manilla I guess.

Maybe I just miss something.

Hopefully by writing to a supervisor you can get that corrected fast. Good luck!

My flag is Philippines on here because that is my citizenship. I have lived in Japan for close to a year now.

Our case number was given just this March 27. This is the "fastest" I could have reacted. There was no indication in our NOA2 that the embassy they would choose for us is Manila.

Everywhere in our application clearly stated that I have nothing whatsoever to return to in Manila. Yes, even my family does not live there anymore.

Please keep on hoping for us. Or else I will have NVC pay my plane tickets and hotel! It is not cheap to fly from Japan!

Where was the beneficiary born?

Definitely send that email. I'd suggest putting 'Supervisor Review' right at the very beginning of that subject line, so the email is looked at pronto next week.

I'd say skip about expressing your disappointment as that really won't do anything.

Philippines. I wonder if that weighted more in their decision to assign my case there. If that's the case, why will they even ask for a list of past and present addresses? Sigh

Just to be very sure, i should put "SUPERVISOR REVIEW - MNL******* - Beneficiary name" as subject?

Is it important that I send it ASAP prior to them sending the bill and packages to us? My case number was apparently just assigned March 27th, the day before I called.

Thank you so much for your expert opinion :)

IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Case Filing and Progress ReportsNVC Filers - March 2013
Hello everyone!

My case was assigned to Manila, Philippines, even when everywhere else in our petition package, it stated we both lived in Japan. :(

I understand AKSinghSingh experienced a similar issue with a wrong consulate assignment. But, mine is the wrong country :(

I called 3x last night and they said It states in the system I don't have evidence of living in Japan. When I never even stated I live in the Philippines! This is truly disappointing.

In the email that I will be sending to request the change, I plan to put in scans of everything we have already sent as proof of my current address (thank you, VJ, for telling me to make copies) and to express my disappointment with this oversight. Is the latter part a wise thing to do?

I received my NOA 2 hard copy a week ago, NoA 2 date was March 11.

I called up NVC today and the rep gave me my case number, said it was assigned March 27.

But, unlucky us... Guess what? They messed up the part about which consulate I should be referrred. I am from the Philippines but it was everywhere (all the forms, copies of my passport pages etc) which CLEARLY stated that my current residence is JAPAN. like seriously, why would NVC think I am still in Manila? I thought they scrutinized every aspect of the forms we send them. Why would they even miss such a blatantly obvious fact???

I e-mailed NVCINQUIRY and requested the change of assigned consulate to my closest consulate. I also enumerated all the various proof we included in the I-130 for proof of my current residence. I would hate to resend the same proof to them. Grr.

Wish us luck that this gets corrected quickly please! :(
