They don't allow companions because of the limited space at SLEC.

Only small children, elderly and disabled are allowed to have companions.

PhilippinesParental Consent Notarization. Lawyer or Civil Registrars?
Your fiancee can get Parental Consent form from the Local Civil Registrar in her area. It will have to be notarized by a Notarized Public. Usually there are notarial services within the municipal or city hall so it's not hard to find one.

PhilippinesNAIA FEES
What airline are you flying in? Maybe you can double check with their customer care.

My husband and kids flew Manila to LAX via PAL. The ticket was booked and purchased online so the Philippine Travel Tax wasn't included in the amount we paid for the tickets. They paid the travel tax at the airport plus terminal fee.

PhilippinesNAIA FEES
Check your ticket. If the TRAVEL TAX is not yet included in your airline fare, you have to pay for it at the airport, plus the TERMINAL FEE.

But if travel tax is already included in the amount you paid for the plane ticket, then no need to pay for it at the airport. You'll just have to pay for the Terminal Fee.

Philippineshe cancel my interview and visa
Don't mind the people from your province. Who cares what they think? They are not the ones feeding and supporting you. They are just a bunch of nosy, insecure, gossip-whores who feed on other people's misfortune.

If your fiancee doesn't want to push thru with your petition, then you have to accept that. Pick yourself up and move on with your life. You have a child who depends on you. Think of your daughter's welfare instead of moping around. You only have yourself to rely on.

I wish you all the best.

The NVC's instruction specifically says to (snail) MAIL it. Won't she encounter any issues if she sends it via email?

PhilippinesChoice of Agent form
Hi! I'm asking in behalf of a friend.

She received the Choice of Agent (COA) form from NVC via email.

Can she print it out, sign it, scan it, email it to her husband, husband prints it out and send it via USPS (priority mail) to NVC?

We both think the above process would be the faster and cheaper way of sending the COA to NVC rather than mailing it via UPS/2GO/FedEx/LBC from Manila to New Hampshire.

Thanks in advance.

Since you haven't made a report, you have to file one. http://www.philippin...egistry.htm#ROM

PhilippinesWaiting for passport/visa
People are allowed to attend the PDOS even if they don't have their passport/visa.

But I don't really see the point to go back and forth with CFO. Just do it once you have your passport with visa. Well, that's just me.

The Embassy has always been clear that we should NOT make travel arrangements until we have, in our hands, our passports with visa.

Don't worry, you'll receive it soon.

PhilippinesAge Conflict?????
There's NO problem with the age gap.

But there are other things the guy should consider when marrying such a young girl.

IMO, she's way too young to get married. I hope she gets to experience growing up and discovering herself and her potentials as an individual before she commits into the seriousness of marriage. Live life as an independent woman first, unless she has very limited opportunities and may find the guy as the "big fish" and her "ticket" to America.

Just my two cents.

Philippinesgetting my daughter.. any tips please..
Tell your parents to go to the Local Civil Registry of the Municipality where your child's birth certificate is registered.
They will be able to properly advice them on what to do.
Don't take short cuts if the process of correcting the BC will take months. You're already in a deep mess as it is. Good luck.

Philippinesgetting my daughter.. any tips please..

2. You may petition your parents once you become a citizen. Petitioning parents only take about a year to finish. Your parents can then petition your sister(daughter) under F2B if your sister(daughter) is under 21 years of age approximately 13 years from now.

is it possible if she can petition for only 1 parent? her father perhaps (so her mother can still take care of her daughter/sister).
after her father receives his green card, he can file a petition for his wife under F2A category in which the daughter/sister can be a derivative because she's still a minor (unmarried & below 21).
waiting time for F2A is 2-3 years for Philippines.

It is NOT a sin to change beliefs. As I've said its a matter of personal choice. (Which you already know because of your "DUH" reaction.)

Now, Google is your best friend if you want an in-depth look into Ang Dating Daan's doctrines and it's impact on your fiancee's Catholic upbringing. :innocent:

"No Derogatory Record" is acceptable as well without NBI explination. That phrase is used when an applicant renews his/her NBI clearance.

I have an old 2010 NBI under my maiden name that says NO RECORD ON FILE. I got a new one this year 2012 under my married name and it also says the same.

That is a normal notation, what do you want explained?

"No Record on File" is the only notation on an NBI clearance that doesn't need any written explanation.

PhilippinesPOLICE CLEARANCE and NBI CLEARANCE

PhilippinesPOLICE CLEARANCE and NBI CLEARANCE

yes I will get a new one coz mine will expire by december! Should I just bring my previous one (but under my maiden name) and since I'm married now, do you guys think that it will have the "aka" on it with my maiden name? And should I put "us visa" for its purpose? thank you so much guys!

For purpose put "For US Visa Application".

You don't need AKA if you're going to get a new one using your married name. They will just add your husband's surname to your full maiden name. Just bring your old NBI, a photocopy of your NSO marriage certificate and a valid ID.
apple21FemalePhilippines2012-11-25 21:12:00
PhilippinesPOLICE CLEARANCE and NBI CLEARANCE
Get a new NBI clearance (green for travel abroad) before your embassy interview.

Police clearance is only for persons who lived and/or worked in a foreign country for 6 months or more.

If you only resided within the Philippines, you don't need the PC, the NBI clearance would suffice.

PhilippinesHow to Have an Appointment for Medical in SLMC

talaga poh sis?..it means aq lang ang bahala kung when q gusto magpa medical as long as it would be before my interview appointment?..

Yes, you can decide when. Just make sure that you don't have your menstruation when you go to SLEC. Do the medical after your monthly period.

Don't do it too close to your interview date because SLEC will still forward your medical result to USEM. Siguro, sagad na yung magpa-medical ka 2 weeks BEFORE your interview.

PhilippinesFilipina is widow......however.....

Im posting for my co-worker who met a filipina whose husband died 5 yrs ago, hence she is a widow. She has NSO issued death certificate. She also has NSO copy of their marriage certificate. Therein lies the problem. On the marriage certificate it shows the man's year of birth as 1946. But on the death certificate it shows 1956. Will the US embassy require both marriage and death certificate, and since the man's year of birth are not the same what issues/problems will be encountered down the line. I really don't have any definitive answer to this dilemma. Thanks for any input.

She can have the date on the DC corrected at the Local Civil Registrar where it was issued.
