How many nbi clearance do i need to get? I mean, do i need to have one using my name before i got married? Or i just need the married one?

You need to get the NBI under your married name (if you are using your married name on all your docs/forms). You don't need to get a separate NBI for maiden name because your full maiden name will appear in the clearance together with your husband's last name.

If corrections have been made on your name (as reflected on your NSO BC), you should also get an NBI with AKA.

Kailangan ba ang new AOS sa interview?

Might as well bring a new one, with original signature of the petitioner and joint sponsor (if any). Bring also the petitioner and joint sponsor's most recent ITR and W2. If your joint sponsor is married, bring his/her spouse's most recent ITR and W2 too.

Update your NBI clearance as well.

Buti na yung handa. Kung hanapin, may ipapakita ka.

gud day people sino po nka try or may alam na pwedeing ma expedite interview appointment sa US Embassy for applicant is about to turn 21? http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3219.html

Applicant is about to turn 21: Applicants who are turning 21 years of age must notify the Embassy in a timely manner (at least four to six months before turning 21) about their “aging out” situation. An applicant, if petitioned under a visa category that classifies the applicant as a “child”, becomes ineligible for the visa once he/she turns 21 years old. A new petition will have to be filed on his/her behalf. If the Embassy is alerted of an “aging out” situation and if visa numbers are available for the applicant’s use, the visa processing may be expedited to ensure that the applicant is able to depart before turning 21. The Embassy will not be able to assist in aging out situations when cases have priority dates that are not yet current.

No, expired na yang current passport mo. 6 months before the expiry dapat i-renew mo na. SLEC will not accept that because they would require a valid passport. http://www.slec.ph/u...l#required-docs

REQUIRED DOCUMENTS

Regular Immigrants and K-Visa Applicants
Valid passport
Photocopy of Passport Biographic/Data Page, the page in the passport that contains the applicant's photo and information
3 pieces recent 2x2 visa photos (2 for submission to the U.S. Embassy, 1 for clinic file)

The US Embassy requires you to bring the 2x2 photos for your visa issuance. We regret not to release the medical report until such time that you can provide this requirement.
Appointment letter from the Embassy or Instruction letter from the National Visa Center (NVC), if available,
2 photocopies of your Appointment Letter/ Instruction Letter
Applicants are also required to provide the name, address and contact number of their petitioner in the U.S.A.

hi to all! my case is current but not yet complete .i already submitted the forms and waiting for the case to be complete/documentarily qualified. im so anxious na talaga. we sent the lacking documents around nov. 10 nvc told us to wait for 20 days coz after they will review the papers i will recieve a letter from them for an embassy interview.

What NVC will send you is an email saying that your case is complete and you will have to wait until a visa number is available for you.

When is your priority date? You have to wait for your PD to become current in order to receive an interview letter from NVC.

Thanks for the info apple.
In a month or 2, pwede ka na makakuha ng NSO copy.

Glad to help. :innocent:

apple21FemalePhilippines2012-10-16 21:32:00
PhilippinesF2A from Philippines

Ang pagkakaalam ko as long na anak mo at gc holder yung anak mo, automatic na yan na US citizen. It doesn't matter kung legitimate sya or not. And of course, dapat before the child 18th birthday.

Unfortunately, no.

Kung sa FATHER kukuha ng US citizenship ang bata, the child has to be the father's legitimate/legitimated child. The child should have undergone legitimation before the child's 16th birthday.

Pero kung sa MOTHER kukuha ng US ciizenship ang bata, it doesn't matter kung legitimate o illegitimate yung bata.

My children are illegitimate but they are already in the US with their father (under F2B category sila). We will do their legitimation next year.

Although I heard some people na nagpa-change delivery address sa POE.
apple21FemalePhilippines2012-10-08 23:25:00

With my hubby and our 2 kids, exactly a month after they arrived na-receive nila GC and SSN cards nila (refer to my signature).

Different case with my bunso, she got hers 2 weeks after their arrival.

Sa ds-230 form mo ba you answered YES dun sa portion na "Do you want the Social Security Administration to assign you a SSN and issue a card?", if yes, then you should wait for your SSN card to be delivered to you. Waiting time varies on every state so if naka-1 month na and wala ka pa na-receive that's the time na mag-follow up ka sa SS office.

Good luck.

PhilippinesIMMUNIZATIONS

If you don't have the vaccination records (baby book), it's okay.  SLEC will determine the vaccines that will be given to you and your kids.  Those vaccines are already INCLUSIVE in the medical fee.

You can do the medical exam early as long as you already have your case number.  The latest would be a week before the interview.

PhilippinesGreen Card Holder marrying in the Philippines

So for my BF to be able to obtain a marriage license application, he has to provide a copy for our CENOMAR, and birth cert?

Not really.  As far as I know, he can simply go to the LCR and ask for a form.

But just to be sure, might as well bring the CENOMAR and NSO BC (yours and his) with him.

Regarding the seminar, I don't know if they will waive it.  He has to ask.

PhilippinesGreen Card Holder marrying in the Philippines

Thank you so much.

I have heard other options such as, the groom applying for marriage license, and then shipping the documents to the US, and then the bride provinding all the info needed, and then shipping them back to the Philippines. Has anyone heard of this?

Also, both of my parents are not going to be present on my Wedding Day.. they will be staying in the US. So are there other options for Parental Consent? Thank you!

Yes, that's possible.

-  Your BF sends the application for marriage license and parental consent form to you.

-  You and your consenting parent/s sign it and have it notarized at the Philippine Consulate who has jurisdiction in your area.

-  Mail the docs back to your BF.

-  Once your BF has it, he will bring it to DFA to have the notary authenticated then he brings it to the Local Civil Registry.

PhilippinesGreen Card Holder marrying in the Philippines

Yes, I am. I am also 21 years old.. so if any of you have information about parental consent for under 25's please let me know. Thank you so much.

Once you arrive in the Philippines, go straight to the Local Civil Registry (LCR) of the Municipality where you're getting married.  Both parties (bride & groom) should be physically present to apply for the marriage license.  The LCR will also provide the forms for parental consent so its better to bring the consenting parent/s as well so you could finish in a jiffy.

The marriage license will be released after 10 working days.  You will also be required to attend a seminar.

Other requirements are (it may VARY depending on the LCR of your city/municipality):

-  CENOMAR of bride & groom

-  NSO BC of bride & groom

-  valid ID of bride & groom

-  valid ID of consenting parent/s

PhilippinesTB Sputum culture for 2 months

The sputum culture test really takes 2 months to be completed.

It is a generally a good sign that results are negative when you have completed the 2 months.

But if SLEC will call your mom earlier (before the 2 month period finishes), most likely that sputum result is positive.

So pray that she completes the 2 month waiting period.  Good luck.

Since you're chasing a fiancee visa, your mother's maiden name (or whatever) does not really matter.

But once you start chasing the IR5 visa (parents of USC), that error might become an issue.

PhilippinesCSPA age-out protection

Don't worry, hindi ka mag-a-age out kasi once a USC parent files i130 for their child, the child's age automatically freezes.  So for immigration purposes, 20 pa rin ang age mo.

You only have to stay single/unmarried until you enter the US.

It would be faster if you, as the USC step-parent, would file the i-130.  Your step-daughter will be CR2.

If your LPR wife files for her daughter, she will be F2A.
