What you need to submit is your mom's document showing her change of name, a copy of her naturalization certificate.

Unfortunately, the cenomar is really only valid within 6 months of issuance. You can expect a few days or weeks of delay because most likely you'll get 221g for it.

PhilippinesHow do i the Petitioner file for my Wife and Daughter 1yr old on a i-130 immigrant visa to the U.S?

Update: My Wife mentioned that her Daughter's birth cert and baptismal both don not have my name listed as the Father. She had it changed. I will be asking her if the birth cert is late registered, which i do think it could be.

If she has the NSO BC its indicated there if the BC is late registered or not.

Looks like all is well.

PhilippinesHow do i the Petitioner file for my Wife and Daughter 1yr old on a i-130 immigrant visa to the U.S?

Check the NSO birth certificate first because it is the primary requirement for USCIS.  If it has your name as father = big problem, if not = safe.

The baptismal certificate is NOT a major requirement in the process UNLESS the birth certificate is LATE REGISTERED.  It is the embassy who might request for the baptismal certificate as secondary evidence during the interview.  If your name appears there, you should have it corrected at the archdiocese who has jurisdiction over the parish where the child was baptized.

PhilippinesHow do i the Petitioner file for my Wife and Daughter 1yr old on a i-130 immigrant visa to the U.S?

You are the STEP-father.  Your name should NOT be on the child's birth and baptismal certificate unless you legally adopted her.  Who told you that you can put your name on the child's documents?  Big mistake.

A step-parent to step-child relationship will be bound by the MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE between you and the child's biological mother.

As proof of relationship to your step-daughter, you only need to submit a copy of her NSO birth certificate together with a copy of your NSO marriage certificate.

When did she do the medical?

PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

THUS MY POINT!!!!    If they ARE NOT her marriages then they should be removed from her CENOMAR, if they are her marriages she has  every right to see the marriage certificates... and at this point NSO is staying the are HER marriages.....

I realized that too  , though late.

apple21FemalePhilippines2014-07-04 13:11:00
PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

Same name, yes.  But what about the other details in the MC like birth date, birth place, parents' names?  People having the same name is common but those other details separates one from the other.  When you request for an MC those other details will be asked.

apple21FemalePhilippines2014-07-04 12:00:00
PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

I need to ask my wife if there are any marriage cert. with these fake marriages. As for the NSO most likely they will do nothing to correct this problem. You need to go though the court system. When I get some info I will post here.

I wish there is someone here in this forum that can guide us on the process or procedures to get this info removed.

You'll need a lawyer to gain access to those marriage certificates.  I doubt NSO will give you a copy or a look at those MC given they are owned by "someone" else.

If the marriages were reflected on the CENOMAR, 100% its registered so an NSO MC exists.

PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

Unless you can get a copy of the actual marriage certificates to prove she's not the same person, there's no telling how to separate their identities.

PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

She said she remembered one name but haven't seen or heard from that person in over 3 years.

They have the same full maiden name?  (The CENOMAR puts the full maiden name of the bride.)

apple21FemalePhilippines2014-07-01 15:29:00
PhilippinesCENOMAR Problem

Are the 2 marriages hers OR just namesakes (other person with the same name as hers)?

You have until the validity of the medical to comply, get the visa and fly to the US otherwise if her medical expires, she will have to re-do it and resubmit all expired docs like NBI clearance.

Medical is valid within 6 months.

NBI is valid within 1 year.

CENOMAR is valid within 6 months.

PhilippinesDFA required documents to get passport for K2 son

Quote

The red ones are enough requirements for the son.

Fiancee is taking her 4 yr old daughter to get passport next week. Since child is only 4 does that mean we need everything listed in red EXCEPT "document of identity with photo, if minor is 8-17...?" Or do we still need something here?

Thank you!!

Yes.  Her baptismal certificate may be presented, in place of that photo ID.

That's all we submitted when we applied for our 3 kids' passports.  I was with them at DFA.  They are illegitimate too because my BF was petitioned by his dad as "unmarried son over 21".  He had to maintain his single status in order to immigrate.  We got married after he got his green card.

They don't need that because the mother is present with her child during the passport application. The only time you will need that is if the child is applying without the mother (since the child is illegitimate).

For Minors (below 18 years old)

General Requirements:

Confirmed appointment (except for 1 year old and below)
Personal appearance of the minor applicant

Personal appearance of either parent (if minor is a legitimate child) / of mother (if minor is an illegitimate child)
Original Birth Certificate of minor in Security Paper issued by NSO or Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate issued by the Local Civil Registrar and duly authenticated by NSO. Transcribed Birth Certificate from the LCR is required when entries in NSO Birth Certificate are blurred or unreadable. Report of Birth duly authenticated by NSO is required if minor was born abroad.
Document of identity with photo, if minor is 8-17 years old (for first time and
renewal applicant) such as School ID or Form 137 with readable dry seal

For minor applicants who never attended school, a Notarized Affidavit of Explanation executed by either parent (if minor is a legitimate child) / by mother (if minor is an illegitimate child) detailing the reasons why the child is not in school, is required
Marriage Certificate of minor's parents duly authenticated by NSO
Notarized Affidavit of Support and Consent to travel from either parent (if minor is a legitimate child) / from mother (if minor is an illegitimate child)
Original and photocopy of valid passport of the person traveling with the minor
Photocopy of valid passport of either parent (if minor is a legitimate child) / of mother (if minor is an illegitimate child) or identification documents (Please refer to List of Acceptable IDs)

The red ones are enough requirements for the son.

PhilippinesNBI or Police clearance

Thank you, Hank! Aren't we suppose to send NVC right now a Police certificate as one of the Civil documents requirements, aside from AOS and its supporting documents?

If you already paid the IV fees, then you should submit the civil documents ASAP.  Don't forget to attach the IV barcoded cover sheet for each case.

For children 18 years old and above, submit a CENOMAR as well.

Philippinesdocumentation to establish that you have received vaccinations

Its a like a trick question, really.  Some people answered "yes" and some answered "no" without issues.

Personally, I answered "NO" and explained that I haven't completed the required medical examination yet.  I didn't encounter any problem because at the time of interview, the result of my medical exam is already at the embassy.

But if not and will still apply, plus she has a pending sputum culture, I would say chances are slim.

PhilippinesPHOTOS REQUIRED F2B CATEGORY

Hello everyone, I am aware of the specifications of how the 2x2 photos should be taken and printed but what I am confused of is the NUMBER of photographs to be submitted.

In the email from NVC it said to submit 2 photos.  Requirements vary on the embassy and so somewhere in the USEM Manila website, I've read that says something about submitting 3 photos.

Kindly enlighten me please.

http://manila.usemba...v/wwwh3217.html

THank you.

We submitted 3 visa pics to NVC, no issues.  Write the beneficiary's name and case number at the back.

3 visa pics are also required for SLEC.

Philippinesfilipina wifes

We are getting married December 26th. Let me first say I am suffering chronic panic attacks but no matter what she is there wanting to take care of me. Its my choice to live there or here. I choose the USA because of the life style and the health care. Anyway anyone else wife wants to take care of you. FYI We are only 2 years age difference

I hear a little boy wanting his mama or yaya.

I'm Filipina but I never took care of my Filipino husband unless he has the colds.  My bad.  :energy:

PhilippinesF2B - PHILIPPINES

EXPIRY DATE.

From the time NVC sent a letter saying beneficiary can NOW start the processing, does it have 1 year expiration from the date the notice was given?

I kknow AOS fee doesnt have an expiry but VISA fee does and that's one year.

I hope somebody will make this clear for me as I havent submitted the civil docs and it's been a year and a few days from the moment I received a notice from NVC to start processing.  visa fee was paid 9 months ago.

All  I need to submit are the civil docs then I'm good and just wait for medical unless they'll require additional docs right?

If you didn't correspond to NVC with NVC for one year, they will assume you're no longer interested in pursuing the visa process.

But you said you paid the IV fee 9 months ago, so that's still within the one year allowable time so it'll be better to send the civil docs ASAP.

What is your priority date?  You will only get an interview schedule if you're already case complete AND your PD is current.

apple21FemalePhilippines2014-08-06 12:27:00
PhilippinesF2B - PHILIPPINES

F2B. I myself is having a hard time getting the facts as I think she is not that knowledgeable when it comes to her petition. I told her what I know and she looked confused. She said she got a "confirmation letter" ahead of her brother (her PD is 2004 and brother's is 2003 and he did not receive any yet).

Isn't it supposed to be like this ... pay & submit AOS. pay visa fees. submit forms. then documents. then wait for medical. get medical. if you happen to finish it all early, you STILL have to wait for your PD to be current before you can get an interview appointment... AM I RIGHT?

If she doesn't know the facts about her own petition, then most likely she's giving you wrong info.

To get an interview letter, the principal applicant must meet 2 conditions:

1.  Case complete at NVC  and

2.  Priority date is current in the Visa Bulletin

A neighbor told me that her friend received "approval" from NVC last march and in a span of 3 months, she is good to fly. an agency helped her process and she submitted all requirements. how could that be possible?  isn't INTERVIEW is set WHEN priority date is current?

Just wondering since I got a letter from NVC saying I can start processing last year and comparing PD's, it was approx a year before my PD will be current. so i did not rush with the forms and documents.

Anyone here who did not rush just like what i'm doing?

What visa did your neighbor chase?

You will need updated CENOMAR, NBI Clearance, petitioner and joint sponsor's latest ITR and W2.

I would recommend bringing a new AOS with original signature/s of the the petitioner and joint sponsor (if applicable).

Philippineswhat to do?

Good Morning Guys,

Here's a recap of my fiancé's K1 Application... don't know what it means????

case creation date was Feb 28, 2014

case updated dates changed from July 7, July 8 and then July 15 .... showing "READY" the entire time (ready for interview)

now it shows

case creation date to July 28, 2014??

and

case updated date same July 28, 2014 but now it shows still "READY"....

Your case is open. Please check your status after two business days via the CEAC launch page at https://ceac.state.gov/CEAC

It seems that is just a "generic" status.  It could jump from ready > AP > ready > to whatever until it says issued.   :innocent:

apple21FemalePhilippines2014-07-28 11:32:00
Philippineswhat to do?

Well, its a long story but there was a confusion with his conversation with NSO and since he is already in the province, they could not contact him on his cell phone so they sent him an email instead.. Email sat there for a couple of weeks.

Now my questions is, how much longer US Embassy will process his application? from the date they received the NSO Re verification on July 7

A few more weeks from July 7.  Keep monitoring CEAC.
