And it's worth calling before 15 business days like they say. We lost about a month with the slow down at VSC. CSC honestly looks to be in better shape right now than Vermont. If you look at the number of unapproved petitions. Most importantly, they seem to have approved in a more consistent way. Really hope the next 2 weeks won't disappoint us. I can't imagine how much of a backlog will grow if they don't start moving with adjudications. It needs to stay consistent. THe london Embassy is slowing down in processing the non immigrant visa's during the olympics period. :-( Kittylondon, I think you you try to get your interview as soon as you can, before it slows down. Just for the record, our petition was at CALIFORNIA, our NOA1 date was January 20, so we were ONE WEEK away from the 5 month mark. So, CSC people, it's good news! All your NOA2's are coming!!! I really don't see how they'll have any other option because if they don't speed this up, god help everyone who filed after us. I can't imagine how backlogged they'll become. There was a pretty significant number of petitions submitted in the Spring and the summer will only get worse for them. Yeah! VSC really needs to pick up the pace. I didn't have a single document notarized during the whole process. no need to notarize the forms. Just go over all ur answers and include as many proof of meeting and ongoing relationship that you can put in a box :-) Then the wait begins... Goodluck! K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	K-1 Visa - Don't Lose Hope	Against the odds, my fiance just received his visa yesterday from the New Delhi Embassy. We were told, and I had read, that this embassy is one of the most difficult to obtain a K-1 Visa from, especially with the types of red flags we had in our case. I am significantly older than my fiance, and his family does not know about our relationship at this time because they are very traditional and likely would not approve...at least not now. Also, although my fiance had been to the U.S., I had never been to India. In addition, I was unable to attend the interview with my fiance because he never received the 4th packet and by the time the interview appointments were posted I did not have time to get a visa or make travel arrangements. I thought for sure this would have a large impact on a successful outcome. But I sent an affidavit for my fiance to give to the consular officer to explain why I was not there which my fiance said the officer read. We had a lot of documentation of our relationship and even though my fiance handled the interview very well, and the rest of the documentation was complete, he was not approved after the interview but instead was given a white slip because the copy of my passport was not notarized. My fiance explained to the consular officer that since my passport copy was attached to the affidavit which was notarized, the documents were complete. The officer advised that he would need more time to review the documents but that they "looked good". He kept the passport and all documents, including photos. He did not officially approve the visa but did advise that the passport/visa would be sent within 2-3 days after the interview. I should mention that most of the documents including photos, were submitted at the time of the interview, so the officer did not have much time to review during the interview although he did look at the photos. My fiance and I were extremely nervous because we knew that until the visa was in hand, anything could happen. But, with a lot of patience, and a LOT of prayer and optimism, we prevailed. I just found out last night about the visa when my fiance called to say it had been delivered (YAY!!!!) so it's still sinking in that we were successful. I wanted to post our experience in order to give hope to those who need it - I was always looking on forums for whatever reason to hope that I could find. I have read many times before, that if your relationship is genuine and you have documentation to prove it, and you are sincere and honest during the interview, your odds of getting the visa approved are excellent no matter what you read or anyone tells you. If u have an RFE they usually try to let u know that around the 3/4 month mark. I'm about 3 weeks away from the 5 months mark myself. fingers crossed for all of us! hugs! And if USCIS doesn't have enough money to hire more people (which I highly doubt) then raise the fee ...
