Good morning ladies,

Hope everyone has a good Friday. I'm so on this board and totally didn't realize there was a bombing here. i think it happened yesterday morning?? Ugh

I'm so glad I work closer to home now, it would still be a hike,, but i think i would just have to walk over one of the bridges and then I'd be good. and it is sad that i even have to think about stuff like this, but when looking for work, this is what i thought about, how long would it talk me to walk home... On 9/11 it took me three hours to wa;k home. but then i had no kids, now it's different.

I watch GMA every morning and saw about the bombing. I guy on a bike through a pipe bomb at the recruiting center in Times Square... It was yesterday morning at like 4am.

It is different with kids for sure.

I was pregnant and a mile from the Pentagon on 9/11 ... I was bawling all day. And then kept having crazy dreams where fighter jets and tanks were all over Alexandria VA! I am emotional as it is .. but pregant too... I was a mess!!!

After the NVC sends info to Barbados... Barbados sends package to Louis?? Right?? Then he fills out stuff and sends back and then they send him the interview date?

I am sorry you all must think I am crazy ... BUT THIS IS MY LIFE and I wanna get it right.

i am really not sure how it works with Barbados..they should send him a "packet 3" with the paperwork...and he sould have to somehow give them a ds-230 to schedule the interview....but i really am not sure if that is how it works for them....

I don't know how it works in Barbados but I followed everything Gill (DEYOUNGTING) and JALove told me to do for me and Dave and everything went pretty smooth.

It took me awhile to catch on that all they "Really" need to schedule this interview was that DS230 Part I cause I just figured there had to be a catch but that's EXACTLY what happened. Soon as Barbados gets his case I would say try to get him a date and time to drop off the DS230 in person.....if they allow that there.

You can download it and fill it out now and have him sign it etc.

My experience with my ex was not difficult - they were easy to deal with. I would email the embassy - they were very responsive. If I am not mistaken, once I had NOA2 my ex went into the embassy with it and picked up the packet - I would try sending them an email and asking - they always replied quickly.

If you do decide to go down, I can give you some hints for really inexpensive places to stay -

When Marcel went to get his shot records from the clinic, the damn brite nurse ask him if he smoke GANJA and telling him, "you know they're going to test you for it". He told her NO! A just so im MAGAH and his eyes look red...she was like u SURE!

No sneaking... he is a good man and I trust him for sure. He knows that if we go this far and he gets denied for something so stupid. Ill kick his a##! :-)

Thanks! He is a "preppy" Rasta.. with his salon dreds LOL. He dresses well, carries himself well... I am sure he will wear the "doughnut" for the interview. (dreds all wrapped in a bun).

OMG - don't ask about driving! He is terrible and I don't have the patience to teach him. I would rather drive anywhere he needs to go rather than stress about him being on the road!

I think he is getting lessons for Christmas.

Louis is fine. My family LOVES him so he feels welcomed for sure. I am sending in AOS in the next couple weeks (late - I know) - I had to scrape up the money- it has been tight lately.
Louis likes the fall leaves - asked me if they all fall off! My aunt wants to throw him a "first snow" party! We take drives, visit friends all that good stuff. I swear it isnt a HUGE adjustment. Seems like we have been doing this forever. He feels a little out of place sometimes. People are always looking at him becuase he is "different". I told him at least people don't yell things as they drive by and make cat calls etc... (like me being in St Lucia).

All in all - it has been wonderful!

Dr came in room. Said ok lets check ur cervix...Said uhhh ok it aint nowhere near open, then said umm let me go think ill be back, so leaves the room comes back n says. Does not look like she tryin come on her own so, Wed 22nd we will induce u, made me appointment for 6am. Then says it still may not come so what we will do is if she doesnt come by certain time wed then we stop, feed u let u rest, start over thursday! And i dont even get him to deliver it! that sucks

says hes rarely in the delivery room unless things go WRONG.

do you use anything special on her hair? i know kaila i still a little one but her hair is soft but just frizzes out....

I use whatever I have. I have not found the perfect solution. She gets a bath at night and I put wet hair up in a knot and in the am just take it down. Somtimes I put a little light oil in it. Could be baby oil or I have some African oil ... whatever is handy! LOL. She is hooked on the Ponytail and wont let me do anything else lately. I slick down the frizzies with oil. Ponytail makes that easy.

yeah I am not sure I want to do this. He would be staying at a hotel. He works for a local TV station in St Lucia and they have been invited to the US to cover the election but needs a US address to obtain the visa. I would think DBS should take care of this for him but I also have experienced 1st hand how things work down there and it boggles the mind sometimes!?

If his job is sending him - then they should be handling the visa issue, and I wouldn't get involved in it - he should be able to use the hotel address for where he'll be staying

I mean the owner of the station lives in the States.. use his address. Doesnt make sense. He would be able to cover any election from my little apartment in MAINE!!!

Yes, she was my flower girl, brides maid ... whatever! :-) Louis, Tierra and I all walked together.

Hello Everyone! I hope you ALL are doing wonderful! There is no way I could read all the way back and catch up... I need a quick review! :-)

Well Louis got here - we got married on August 23rd ... it was a beautiful day, a WONDERFUL day! Everyone got along (my mom and dad LOL).

Things have been going well, it seems like we have been married for years, not just a couple months. We are moving into a bigger apartment November 1st and it is right next door so that will be the easiest move ever! YAY! It will be more space and I am so happy about that.
Louis is already wearing his winter coat so I hate to see him in a few months!!??? The fall has been sunny and actually warmer than usual this year.

Now... I have a question. I am like one of those friends that only calls when they need something!!

Is there any issues involved with someone (that you trust) using your address to obtain a visa to come visit the states? He would only be coming for the time around the election and is one of Louis' former co-workers at the TV station he worked at. They would like him to come cover the election but needs a US Residence to use in order to get his visitors visa. What do you all think about that?

Oh and happy belated SONSHYNE... Libras are awesome!!! :-)
