ok ladies i have a question if you are friends a guy and then he introduces you to his future wife because he wants her to know his friends . you become friends with her .... and have remained neutral through there ups and downs through the marriage now that they decide to break up with you continue the friendship with both parties ...( i have remained friends with both parties just looking to see what you guys think)

I think remaining friends with both is fine. Have they put you in a bad position?
One of my best friends is going through a divorce. They are Tierra's godparents. I may personaly be on her "side" but will remain friends with both. I like them both.

im on her side ... as far as the divorce he did her wrong ... however i do plan to remain friends with both of them and they both know it... the thing is i dont give info about the other and they sometimes expect me to do that .. they always ask have you talked to so and so and i say nothing more then not lately or yeah . they try to pry but i change the subject and get off the phone ..

Yeah, that would make me uncomfortable. My friends dont try to get any info from me. They talk to each other, have weekly "meetings".

How about this for messed up relationship story? One of my friends called me last night for advice - He left on a business trip - came home to find the house cleared out, his wife gave away his dogs (pure bred Rottis, from Germany, mega $), and filed for divorce - He loves those dogs - bad enough to leave him and do all that - You had to give away his dogs?

Oh that is terrible! Why not just put the dogs in a kennel and tell him where to pick them up?
Is she feeling that burned? Did he do something awful to her??? WOW

That's a hard call - I think you can remain friends with both, but you have to be careful not to take sides - I have friends that I met at the same time who are now split - my female friend constantly wants me to be angry at her ex cause he's dating, etc... - I finally laid it out to her one day, and told her that if she were sitting home, wanting to straighten out their marriage, and he was running around, etc.... - maybe I could be angry with him - but when they were both doing the same thing, I wasn't taking sides - I love them both, it just makes me sad.

Thats true Sus, when I say I am on her side... its totally personal. They are doing things pretty amicable and neither are being mean or nasty to each other. I just wish she wasnt letting him get some much $$ and property in the end... and NO CHILD SUPPORT! UGH... but its just my opinion.. smile.gif

I just Googled her... Lisa Nicole Carson. Said she developed Schizophrenia. Maybe she is doing better.

I remember all my friends told me I was doing irreparable harm to her by doing that, but I did not give a &$#@. I also remember taking her door off the jam about two years ago because she slammed her door. Now we have an agreement that when she starts paying rent in her own home she can slam the doors all day long....No one agreed with me on that either.

Back in SLU I would hear Louis and his friends, and anyone really referring to people as Yellow or Red, I really couldnt see it. Louis' best friend is "yellow" I am thinking he looks brown to me?? They always used this as a way to describe someone to another person... like "You know him... he is that Yellow skin fella Louis hangs with" ... I never heard anyone making fun of anyone becuase of their color but I am sure that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.

I often wonder what Tierra will go through when she is older and out in the world. She LOVES that she is brown and beautiful, but most people don't see her as brown... until they meet me!

My hope is that people will see her has smart and talented, rather than the mixed girl, or black or white.

Jawi, I am so sorry. I have been thinking about you... I have been having back pain the past few days. I really hurt myself when I was in my 20's and it has stuck with me. But I keep telling myself not to complain cause it could be worse and think about all you have gone through.
I TOTALLY understand about hubby asking why why why the dr cannot help. I would probably do the same thing. Do you have any alternative drs to call? How about pain management specialists... even acupuncture. I have a friend who used acupuncture for stress and it really worked for her.
Eastern medicine may be helpful for you... you never know. But if your Dr cannot help with pain then look somewhere else.
You dont want to be miserable when you have this wonderful man you just married.
I pray you get some relief soon so that you can move past this pain.....

If you're a grownup, you're already developed, and you're able to fight off some of the damaging effects of soy. Babies aren't so fortunate. Research is now showing that when you feed your baby soy formula, you're giving him or her the equivalent of five birth control pills a day. A baby's endocrine system just can't cope with that kind of massive assault, so some damage is inevitable. At the extreme, the damage can be fatal. helpsmilie.gif mad.gif

I just discovered another vegetarian product.. the brand is QUORN, its from England. It is not a soy product. It is made from a mushroom type thing.. it explains on the box. However it does have egg in it.
They have a "Chicken, Goat Cheese and Cranberry" breast.... SO GOOOOOOD! On a yummy artisan bread it makes such a good sandwich.

Thanks. I will buy them for my daughter.

I'll look for QUORN as well. My friends invited me to a raw food prep class this Sunday blink.gif No thanks.

I was thinking about doing raw food for a month. But I am too lazy. I know there is no cooking but I feel I would be at the store every other day for fresh food. If someone else prepared meals for me I would do it.

You'll spend lots of money eating raw...my friends pays a lady to make all of her meals. Sounds interesting though. She eats raw olive tuna pizza, giner kale, cury plantains and cheesecake. Not sure how unsure.gif it's all raw but it is.

I would end up eating salad for a month.

I did watch an episode of Bizzare Foods about raw foods. They can use things like dehydrators and some other methods that still qualify the food to be "raw"

roger is circumsized.. i have heard of, but never knew anyone that wasn't circumsized.. i should ask him what his sons are???

hey, how does this thing go w/ ur husband when its time to file taxes??? everybody on AOS board talking bout u will get all this money back filing married..
i thought there was less tax burden filing single than married?? so i would owe a boatload of money having not been contributing enough taxes during the year..
does that make sense??
did anyone see a big refund when adding ur husband b4 he really start working?

We got $4000 back last year! I filed jointly and Louis was not working AND I have a dependant. Wahooooo! I hope we get a peice of that this year too since I am making less money and Louis doesnt make much.

I like to clean during the week too. That way the weekend is freeeeeeee. Of course I still end up cleaning on the weekend. Gotta wash floors, clean sheets ... all that.

I have to bring Tierra to a birthday party and get 2 new tires. Fun stuff!

you have had ur fun for the week WOMAN.. lol
i can't believe that nut was talking bout women right in front of u.. WTH??

yes.. the bday party circuit.. don't u love it??? we have the same parties at the same venues..
oh well something for the kids to do.. i hate buying presents tho.. and don't want to be lame and just give lil kids money that their parents might spend.. its always a toss up

I actually like this kids parents. Her dad made me a grateful dead CD last year after he and I chatted about some shows we had been to before Jerry died. They are not uptight like some parents around here. The girl likes art so any reason for me to go to the art store is fine with me. I think I will get her some canvas boards and a paint set... she can make a masterpeice.
