K-1 Fiance(e) Visa Process & Procedures	I feel like crying. Guh.	I so know what you mean and completely understand. Me, too. As happy as I am for the Vermonters that are whipping through the process, my heart simultaneously sinks every time I see one of their exhuberant announcements. It is discouraging for those of us who have been given no reason to expect anything but a wait of several months. Me? I haven't seen my fiancé since late January. I have no money at the moment. Neither does he. And the little bit we do have is being ferretted away so that when he finally gets here, we can survive for the time it's going to take to get his work permit. None of this is fair. Quite frankly, it stinks. And in the last two weeks, life has only gotten bleaker. My parents just booked tickets to Phoenix to be with my sister and her family for Christmas without even asking me first about my own plans. I can't afford to go. Due to current financial constraints, they can't afford to get me there either. I'm not only going to be in Wisconsin without my fiancé for Christmas, but without my family as well. My parents just forgot all about me until after they'd booked the tickets. I had a good long cry in the car driving home after I got this news the other night. Yeah, I'd give just about anything to be processed by Vermont right about now...and I don't know how many more peppy, happy approval announcements I can take right now...I'm a pretty positive person. I was in Paris from Sept 5th through the 13th and the weather was so beautiful. It was between 75 and 81 the whole time and the sun was out and shining on us. Cécile and I were in Montmarte the first 3 days and then we went to this Manor in Bréançon that was amazing. We spent the weekend there. The last 2 nights we spent in Montparnasse (I don't know if I'm spelling this stuff right) at another great hotel, l'hðtel Lenox (beautiful room, unlimited WiFi, amazing service, nice bar). If you go back and you need some tips, let me know. And thanks again. Hey Barry! Thanks for your return wishes. I sure appreciate them! It sounds like you had a truly wonderful trip! I'm so pleased to hear it. I'd do just about anything to get back for a visit right about now! It's a little like heaven to hear something of YOUR travels! Laurent lives in the 18th not all that far from Montmartre...maybe fifteen twenty minutes by foot. We used to go walking up there. He considers it his stomping grounds. I truly miss it. Never been to Bréançon. Sounds delightful! I'd love to hear more sometime! I bet we could exchange some great information. Laurent and I have had some nice stays off the west coast of France.
